效果的인 에너지 貯藏裝置인 Flywheel에 單位 體積當 貯藏되는 運動에너지를 最大로 하기 위하여, 應力과 設計變數에 대한 制限條件을 주고 最適設計의 方法을 Steepest Descent Method로 하여 複合材로 製作된 Multi-ringed Flywheel을 最適設計하였으며, 이를 遂行하는 Computational Algorithm을 提示하였다. 數値例로써 Glass/Epoxy 複合材를 선택하였다.

Depending on the underground load support mechanism, anchors are classified as friction anchors, bearing plate anchorsand the recently developed combined friction-bearing plate anchors which combine the characteristics of both the frictionand bearing plate type anchors. Even though numerous studies have been performed on bearing plate anchors, therewere only few studies performed to observe the failure surface of bearing plate anchors. Furthermore most of the soilmaterials used on these tests were not real sand but carbon rods. In this study, sand was placed in the soil tank andlaboratory tests were performed with bearing plate anchors installed with an embedment depth (H/h) ranging from 1~6. The variation in the pullout capacity and the behaviour of soil with the embedment depth (H/h) were observed. Grounddeformation analysis program was also used to analyze soil displacement, zero extension direction, maximum shear straincontours. It was determined from the analysis of the results that at ultimate pullout resistance the deformation was 5mm and the failure surface occurred in a narrower area when compared with results of the previous researches. It wasalso observed that the width of the fracture surface gradually becomes wider and expands up to the surface as thedeformation increases from 10 mm to 15 mm.
사례분석에 기초한 말뚝시공법 및 재하시험방법에 따른 하중지지특성에 관한 연구

In our country, in the case of traditional design of pile foundations, only a design depending on end bearing has been performed. However, through the load transfer measurement data that have been carried out for in-situ piles, it was known that skin frictional force was mobilized greatly. In this study, through the analysis of the load transfer test cases of driven steel pipe piles and large-diameter drilled shafts, load bearing aspects of pile foundation depending on pile construction methods and pile load test methods were established. The average sharing ratios of skin frictional force were independent of pile types, pile load test methods, relative pile lengths, pile diameters and soil types. Because the average sharing ratios were over 50%, the case pile foundations mostly behaved as a friction pile and the extremely partial case pile foundation behaved as a combined load bearing pile.

Although neonatal hypoglycemia is a common metabolic abnormality in newborn infants, brain injuries resulting from isolated neonatal hypoglycemia are rare. Many infants who are hypoglycemic do not exhibit clinical manifestations, while other infants are symptomatic and at risk for permanent brain damage. There is no disagreement that hypoglycemia can cause neonatal encephalopathy and result in permanent brain injury. Occipital brain injury associated with neonatal hypoglycemia can result in long-term disability, epilepsy, and visual impairment. Infants should receive ongoing developmental and visual surveillance for lateonset epilepsy, and visual or cognitive impairment. We report two cases of newborn infants with abnormal visual evoked potentials (VEP) caused by neonatal hypoglycemic encephalopathy.
Fatigue Life Prediction of Caulking-Joined Parts

Caulking has merits of easy manufacturing and assembly, and reduced product cost. However, though the design of the caulkingprocess is very important in order to obtain satisfactory strength, research on caulking has been insufficient. Therefore, tensile andfatigue tests were conducted for the evaluation of the caulked part of a drum in a washing machine. The caulking process wassimulated by finite element analysis, and the residual stress of the caulked part was evaluated. The residual stress of the caulked partwas applied to the S-N curve of the fatigue test, and the notch effect of the caulked part was applied to the S-N curve of virgin material. As a result, the S-N curve of the caulked part can be predicted from the S-N curve of virgin materials.

Ground anchors are classified depending on the kind of stress the grout is subjected to. If the grout material is subjected to tension then it is classified as tension anchor while when the grout material is subjected to compression it is classified as compression anchor. In this study a composite type anchor that possesses both the tension and compression mechanism was developed. For field tests, strain gauges were installed inside the anchor body in soft: soil. From the strain monitoring results, pull-out resistance mechanism that possesses both tension and compression strain was seen.

PURPOSES : In Korea, most designs of pavement had been mainly performed by considering CBR of granular materials before KPRP(Korea Pavement Research Program) and 86 AASHTO design method were introduced. Since then, the trend of the pavement designs gradually have moved to using mechanical characteristics throughout the resilient modulus based on the test results up to recently. In this study,we should like to research the mechanical characteristics of paving materials containing Recycled aggregates through the cyclic loading triaxial compression tests. METHODS : The kinds of materials were tested; coarse grained subbase materials, refining aggregates base materials and recycled aggregates. RESULTS: The present study aims to figure out the resilient modulus of paving materials containing Recycled aggregates through the cyclic loading triaxial compression tests. CONCLUSIONS: The test results revealed that the engineering properties of the recycled aggregates were more excellent than the those of others.

-Clusterin is a highly glycosylated heterodimeric glycoprotein that plays diverse biological roles in various organs. The secreted clusterin has been established as a major form of the protein that exerts diverse tissue effects. For instance, clusterin is known to act in cell protection through the actions of extra-cellular molecular chaperones. In the extracellular milieu, clusterin participates in specific interactions with a diverse array of native biological molecules including LRP-2 (Lipoprotein receptor-related protein 2, also known as gp330 or megalin), which is involved in ligand endocytosis at the surfaces of certain epithelia.Clusterin is expressed transiently in developing and differentiating endocrine pancreatic cells and might be involved in pancreas development. This transient expression of clusterin at specific time points of pancreas development and cell differentiation during pancreas regeneration implies that the protein is a regulatory factor for cytodifferentiation as well as for replication. A specific action of the clusterin in the reconstruction and remodeling of the endocrine pancreas has been demonstrated. It also strongly stimulates duct cell differentiation into insulin-secreting cells under in vitro culture conditions. Clusterin appears thus as a potent regulator of insulin cell morphogenesis.
