        담수어를 이용한 금호강수계의 수질판정

        The fish species collected in the Keumho River basin are 42 species 31 genera elonging to 15 Families. This report was investigated for the evaluation of water quality in the Keumho River system which is a tributary of Nakdong River in Korea on september in 1999. The fishes collected were 42 species, 31 genera belonging to 15 Families. The dominant species were 5 species; Zacco platypus, Zacco temmincki, Squalidus chankaensis tsuchigae, Moroco oxycephalus, Squalidus gracilis majimae, and 8 species; Hemibarbus longirostris, Pseudogobio esocinus, Culter brevicauda, Cobitis rotundicaudata, Pseudobagrus fulvidraco, Pungitius sinensis kaibarae, Monopterus albus, Clanna argus were rare species. The relationship among the GPI, EC and BOD by the organic pollutants were over 0.9. The group pollution index(GPI) was lowest at St. 1(0.85) and highest at St. 5(2.33). The water quality of the Keumho river divided into 3 parts; the water of upper reaches in river(St. 1) was 1st class(oligotrophic condition), middle parts(St. 2, 3, 4) were 3rd class( a -mesosaprobic condition) and lower part(St. 5) was 4th class(Polysaprobic condition) as the source of tap water, respectively. And the tributary which are the Sinryeong Stream(St. 6), the Sincheon Stream(St. 7) and the Donghwa Stream(St. 9) in Keumho river were 2nd class as the source of tap water. The results in this study was represented same patterns as the result by the use of indicator species like as algae and invertebrates for the discrimination of water quality. So, some freshwater fish species can be use applicant for the discrimination of water quality.

        바다낚시공원 시설운영 및 낚시인 요구사항 조사 연구

        This paper was intended to empirically identify problems with recreational sea fishing park facilities installed to help reinvigorate local economy of fishing villages in order to mitigate shortage of fishing facilities amid an increase in sea fishers and spur evolution of sea fishing into a marine leisure activity, on which basis this researcher presented direction for facility planning which is deemed necessary to map out the plan for sea fishing parks, along with measures designed to improve sea fishing park facilities. To analyze the problems related to sea fishing park facilities, we conducted a survey on facility operations involving 9 sea fishing parks and 2 sea ranches and had an investigative interview with facility manager. Moreover, a survey was conducted of fishers in 25 sea fishing places, including sea fishing park, fishing experience village, etc., in order to investigate their demand for facilities. The results of survey suggested that there was a significant demand for expansion of amenities such as safety facilities, toilets, lounge facilities, etc., which can accommodate the increase in the number of people fishing with family. Furthermore, the results showed that there was a huge demand for introduction of facilities aiding leisure activities in addition to facilities for fishing activities including education facilities such as fishing site at the corner exclusive for beginners, experiential facilities, camping site, seaside park, promenade, etc. Thus, sea fishing park should be the complex leisure space with a focus on fishing activities and requires facility configuration and facility planning suited to activity requirements within fishing park. 본 연구에서는 바다낚시인의 증가 따른 낚시시설의 부족을 해결하고 바다낚시를 해양레저로 정착시키며 어촌의 경제 활성화를 돕기 위한 목적으로 조성된 바다낚시공원의 시설측면의 문제점을 실증적으로 파악하고, 이 결과를 바탕으로 바다낚시공원의 시설개선사항 및 새로운 바다낚시공원의 계획을 위한 시설계획방향을 제시하였다. 시설측면의 문제점 분석을 위하여 현재 운영 중인 9군데 바다낚시공원과 2군대 바다목장을 대상으로 시설운영 현황조사 및 시설관리인 인터뷰조사를 실시하고 바다낚시공원, 어촌체험마을 등 25군데 바다낚시시설에서 낚시인을 대상으로 시설요구사항에 대해 설문조사를 실시하였다. 조사결과 가족단위 낚시인구의 증가에 따른 안전시설 및 화장실, 휴게시설 등의 편의시설 확충에 대한 요구가 많았으며, 초보자를 위한 가두리낚시터 등의 교육, 체험시설의 필요성과 캠핑장, 해변공원, 산책로 등의 낚시활동 외 여가활동을 위한 시설 도입에 대한 요구가 높게 조사 되었다. 따라서 바다낚시공원은 낚시활동을 중심으로 한 복합레저공간으로 계획하여야 하며, 낚시공원 내 활동요구사항에 적합한 시설구성 및 시설계획이 필요하다.

        한・일 신어업협정이 체결됨에 따라 협상결과에 대한 찬・반 논쟁이 뜨겁다. 협정이 발효하려면 국회의 동의와 비준절차가 남아 있어, 이러한 현상은 당분간 계속될 전망이다. 이와 관련하여 필자는 지면을 통하여 협정 내용 중 문제점을 지적한 일부 학자의 비판을 보면서, 협정에 대한 국민적 이해를 오도할 우려가 있는 것으로 생각되어 모든 비판에 대한 종합적인 반론을 제기하여 올바른 이해를 돕고자 한다.

        Comparative analysis of three different protocols for cholinergic neuron differentiation in vitro using mesenchymal stem cells from human dental pulp

        A decrease in the activity of choline acetyltransferase, the enzyme responsible for acetylcholine synthesis in the cholinergic neurons cause neurological disorders involving a decline in cognitive abilities, such as Alzheimer’s disease. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) can be used as an efficient therapeutic agents due to their neuronal differentiation potential. Different source derived MSCs may have different differentiation potential under different inductions. Various in vitro protocols have been developed to differentiate MSCs into specific neurons but the comparative effect of different protocols utilizing same source derived MSCs, is not known. To address this issue, dental pulp derived MSCs (DPSCs) were differentiated into cholinergic neurons using three different protocols. In protocol I, DPSCs were pre-induced with serum-free ADMEM containing 1 mM of β-mercaptoethanol for 24 h and then incubated with 100 ng/ml nerve growth factor (NGF) for 6 days. Under protocol II, DPSCs were cultured in serum-free ADMEM containing 15 μg/ ml of D609 (tricyclodecan-9-yl-xanthogenate) for 4 days. Under protocol III, the DPSCs were cultured in serum-free ADMEM containing 10 ng/ml of basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), 50 μM of forskolin, 250 ng/ml of sonic hedgehog (SHH), and 0.5 μM of retinoic acid (RA) for 7 days. The DPSCs were successfully trans-differentiated under all the protocols, exhibited neuronlike morphologies with upregulated cholinergic neuron-specific markers such as ChAT, HB9, ISL1, BETA-3, and MAP2 both at mRNA and protein levels in comparison to untreated cells. However, protocol III-induced cells showed the highest expression of the cholinergic markers and secreted the highest level of acetylcholine.
