      • 등속성 운동프로그램이 만성발목관절 염좌 상해를 입은 운동선수의 근기능 회복에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of isokinetic exercise programs on the muscular function recovery of athletes with chronic ankle sprain. The subjects were 12 male college athletes with chronic ankle sprain assessed by maximum inversion stress roentgnography. 12 participants were randomly assigned into two different treatment groups: concentric isokinetic exercise(CIE, n=6) and eccentric isokinetic exercise(EIE, n=6). The CIE group performed concentric contractions of each ankle dorsiflexor and plantarflexor muscles and the EIE group performed eccentric contractions of each ankle muscle group three days for eight weeks. The instrument was used a spectrum of angular velocities ranging from 30°/sec to 150°/sec with 30°/sec intervals and EMG to record activity of tibialis anterior, soleus, and gastrocnemius, for involved side. The results of this study were following as: 1. Muscular function 1) Dorsiflexors CIE group showed increases (p<.05) in peak torque and peak torque % body weight and EIE group showed marked increases(p<.01) in peak torque % body weight, average power, and total work in the involved side. However, both training groups did not display these marked changes in the uninvolved side after the 8-week period. 2) Plantarflexors EIE group showed marked increases(p<.01) in peak torque and peak torque % body weight but CIE group didn't increase in the involved side. In addition, both training groups did not display these marked changes in uninvolved side after the 8-week period. 3) DF/PF ratio, Average ROM, and IV/UV ratio. CIE group showed marked decreases (p<.01) in the IV/UV ratio of dorsiflexion. However, EIE group did not display these marked changes after the 8-week period. 2. EMG EIE group showed marked increases (p<.01) in the gastrocnemius. However, both training groups did not display marked changes in other sides after the 8-week period. These results also indicated that eccentric isokinetic exercise has a greater influence on muscular function, especially plantarflexor an descending, than concentric isokinetic exercise, however, the improvements in the IV/UV ratio of dorsiflexion were better in the CIE group compared with EIE group after the training. The findings of these results implied that with isokinetic exercise programs used in this study, it is possible to recover muscular function in athletes with chronic ankle sprain. It was also indicated that extensive training involving a high number of repetitions and eccentric contractions was safe, effective, and well tolerated for the athletes with chronic ankle sprain.

        20주간의 혼합운동프로그램이 정신지체 성인의 신체조성과 체력에 미치는 효과

        The purpose of this study was to figure out the effects of participation in a combined exercise program on the body composition and physical fitness of adults with mental retardation. Fifteen adults with mental retardation in a special institute took part in aerobic and strength , combined exercise at 55 - 69%HRmax at least one hour a day, 3 times a week for 20 weeks. The body composition and physical fitness profiles of subjects were measured before and after training period, respectively. Dependent t-test was used to analyze the statistical significance. The results were as follows; First, participants showed more favorable % body fat, lean body mass, fat mass, WHR after training. Second, participants showed more improved upper body strength and balance after training. The findings imply that the combined exercise program for long duration had significant effects on the health promotion of adults with mental retardation.

      • 장기간 수영운동에 참가한 중년여성의 신체구성과 건강체력 특성에 대한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of swimming exercise career on the middle-aged women. The number of sujects were 44 postmenopausal women(45-60 age group). The number of exercise group were 27(3 years average career) and that of control group were 17, Percent body fat physical development score, back strength, grip strength, trunk flexion, endurance were measured. The results were as followings; 1. The percent body fat, physical development score, back strength, grip strength, endurance of swimming exercise group was higher than that of control group. The difference showed the statistical significance. The trunk flexion and grip strength of swimming exercise group were lower than that of control group. The difference didn't showed the statistical significance. 2. The back strength, muscle endurance, endurance of swimming exercise 7 years average career group was higher than that of 3 years average career group. The difference showed the statistical significance. As the above, the regular participation of swimming exercise help the middle-aged women to promote their health-related fitness. Also the exercise prevent obesity, back pain.

      • 운동에 의한 무산소성역치의 변화

        Longitadinal changes in ventilatory anaerobic threshold (AT)and 10-km race time were assessed. 13male, high school, trained endurance runners were served as subjects. Paired comparisions revealed that there were significant changes in AT and 10-km race time over the 4-month training period. High relationships between AT and 10-km race time existed in pre-and post-test. It is speculated that alterations in AT and distance running performance could he achieved through the high intensity endurance training, and that velocity at AT could be a good factor in determining the intensity for the endurance training.

        운동생리학 : 중년여성의 테니스 운동 참가가 등속성 근기능, 심폐기능 및 신체구성에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of 12 weeks tennis exercise on the middle-aged women. The number of subjects were 8 women(40-50 aged group). Percent body fat, isokinetic strength, gas analysis were measured.The results were as followings;1. The isokinetic strength of tennis exercise improved pretest and post test on group. The difference showed the statistical significanceon peak torque, peak torque B/W%.2. The gas analysis of tennis exercise improved pretest and post test on group. The difference showed the statistical significance on HRrest, ˙V CO<sub>2</sub>max, ˙V O<sub>2</sub>max, ˙V O<sub>2</sub>max/kg.3. The difference of body composition fat improved pretest and post test on group. The difference showed the statistical significance on body fat%, body fat mass. Based on the findings of this study, the regular participation of tennis exercise help the middle-aged women to promote their health-related fitness.

      • 男子高等學生에 있어서 極端的 體型別 體力特性

        Sixty male students of X High School in Seoul served as subjects. These students were divided into three groups of 20 endomorphs, 20 mesomorphs, 20 ectomorphs. Each was selecled and a member of one of these groups on the basis of a high rating (5 to 7) for one component and a low rating(below 3) for the other two components using Heath-Carter anthro-pometric method. A modification of their descriptive criteria follows: Endomorph;Characterized by roundness and softness of body;central concentration of mass; no muscle reief;and short, tapering limbs. Mesomorph;Characterized by squareness and hardness of body;large bones;heavy musculature broad shoulders with pyramiding trapezius;and broad hips with sturdy pelvis. Ectomorph;Characterized by linearity and delicacy of body;shoulders narrow and lacking in muscular relief;fingers and toes generally slender and long;and head may appear too large for slender neck. The experiment was designed to include the following elements basic to physical fitness test in Korea.(1)running speed, (2)agility, (3)muscle power, (4)muscle endurence, (5)cardiovascular endurence, and (6)flexibility. F ratios were computed to determine the statistical significance of the obtained differences between groups. The author reached the following conclusions: 1. Mesomorphs are superior to both endomorphs and ectomorphs in running speed, agility, power, endurence, and flexibility. 2. Endomorphs are inferior to both mesomorphs and ectomorphs in running speed, agility, leg power, endurence, and flexibility. 3. Ectomorph are inferior to both endomorphs and mesomorphs in the muscle power of the upper extremities. 4. Excess weight is a handcap to endomorphs in case of the exercise exerting relative strength in proportion to body weight. 5. Insufficient strength is a handicap to ectomorphs in case of the exercise using absolute strength.

      • 유산소 운동이 비만인의 신체구성과 혈중지질대사에 미치는 영향

        The purpose of this experiment was to recognize the influence executed aerobics for eight weeks, and what kind of influence were having on body compositions, metabolism of blood lipids according to sports disposition period, and the object of this experiment was university students who were being obesity. The object of this experiment was 12-man-university students who were having at least 25% deal of fat mass(fat%), had no special sport experiences, and their health state was desirable, and they were divided two groups, one was exercise-group and the other was non-exercise-group, each group had 6 members. By pre-experiment, the experiment was executed on treadmill during 50 minutes with HRmax 75%. Blood gathering was done when the object was stability and after the exercise immediately, and the blood which were gathered, was analyzed for blood lipid. After 8 weeks aerobics, though exercise group lessen their weight, fat mass, and the rate of fat in comparison with opponent, they didn't greatly differ from non-exercise group in body compositions. However, after the aerobics executed for many hours, in comparison with non-exercise-group, exercise-group had been increased the rate of HDL, but decreased the rate of TC and TG. The result of this experiment is the aerobics effects body composition, blood lipid and makes them are changed. The reason is aerobics makes our body to be increased ability of metabolism and lipolysis, and amount of muscles, adipose tissue, and the rate of energy consumption, and using of adipose. Therefor, aerobic that execute for many hours increase the energy consumption, so it prevents obesity phosphorus from chronic disease. In conclusion, aerobics is an effective exercise to maintain our good health.
