Asp. Usamii IAM2185 was selected as a strain producing the powerful raw starch digesting glu-coamylase. The optimum initial pH, the optimum temperature and the optimum cultural time for the enzyme production on wheat bran medium were pH 6-8,25-30℃ and 72hrs, respectively. The addition of ammonium nitrate and albumin on wheat bran medium, respectively, increased slightly the enzyme production. The enzyme was purified by ammonium sulfate fractionation, CM-cellulose and DEAE-cellulose column chromatography. The specific activity of the purified enzyme was 34.3U/mg protein and the yield of enzyme activity was 10.3% . The purified enzyme showed a single band on polyacrylamide disc gel electrophoresis and its molecular weight was estimated to be 67,000 by SDS polyacrylamide disc gel electrophoresis. The isoelectric point for the purified enzyme was pH 3.7. The optimum temperature and optimum pH were 60℃ and pH 3.0 and the purified enzyme was stable in the pH range of 1.0-11.0. The purified enzyme was stable below 50℃ and its thermostability was greatly increased by the addition of Ca++. The purified enzyme showed a high hydrolysis rate on various raw starches such as corn, rice, yam, arrow root, sweet potato and glutinous rice.

외상후 스트레스장애 환자에서 Mirtazapine 효과 : A Pilot Study

연구목적 : 외상후 스트레스장애에 대한 선택적 세로토닌 재흡수억제제의 효과에 대한 연구들은 증가하고 있으나 새로운 향우울제인 mirtazapine의 효과에 대한 연구들은 미비한 실정이다. 이에 mirtazapine의 외상후 스트레스장애에 대한 효과를 조사하기 위해 본 연구를 시행하였다. 방 법 : DSM-IV 진단기준에 의거하여 외상후 스트레스장애로 진단받은 환자 15명을 대상으로 8주간 mirtazapine을 투여하고 투여 시작일과 투여 후 4, 8주 시점에 Interviwer-Administered Structured Interview for PTSD(SIP), Short PTSD Rating Interview(SPRINT), Impact of Event Scale-Revised(IES-R), Montgomery Å sberg Deprssion Rating Scale(MADRS)를 평가하였다. 결 과 : 대상군 중 남자는 10명, 여자는 5명이었고, 평균 연령은 36.1세였으며 mirtazapine의 일일 평균용량은 29±6.9㎎ 이었다. 각 시점별 측정한 SIP, SPRINT, IES-R,MADRS는 기저시점에 비하여 유의한 감소를 보였다.(각, df=1, F=172.0, p<0.01 ; df=1, F=334.4, p<0.01 ; df = 1, F=123.8, p<0.01 ; df= 1, F=775.8, p,0.01). 결 론 : 본 연구 결과 mirtazapine은 외상후 스트레스장애의 치료에 유의한 효과가 있었으며 향후 보다 많은 환자를 대상으로 한 mirtazapine의 효능 및 내약성에 관한 대조 연구가 시행되어야 할 것으로 생각된다. Objective : This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of mirtazapine in patients with posttraumatic stress disorder(PTSD). Method : 15 patients who diagnosed as PTDS were treated with mirtazapine for 8 weeks. Efficacy measurement and side-effects monitoring were performed at baseline, in 4 and 8 week. PTSD and depression were assessed at each follow-up visits suing following measures : Interviewer-Administered Structured Interview for PTSD(SIP) ; short PTSD Rating Interview(SPRINT) ; Impact of Event Scale-Revised(IES-R) ; The Montgomery Åsberg Depression Rating Scale(MADRS). Results : Significant reduction of SIP, SPRINT, IES-R,and MADRS was observed after 8 weeks administration of mirtazapine. No serious drug-related side effects occurred. Conclusion : Teh results suggest that mirtazapine may be an effective agent in the treatment of patients with PTSD. More sophisticated study would be necessary.

2014년 전북에서 발생한 H5N8에 관한 증례 보고

Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) occurred in the breeder duck farms in Jeonbuk of in Korea on January to February 2014. Clinically, the most ducks showed various signs from depression, dropped egg production and feed consumption to even, death. The most commonly gross changes were hepatomegaly, splenomegaly, petechial and ecchymotic hemorrhage on the liver surface, a white stripe on the cardiac muscle, multifocal hemorrhagic foci in pancreas, and severely hemorrhagic embryos. The most significant signs of H5N8 virus was supposed to specific on ducks. The viral antigen was mainly detected in the endothelium of blood vessels of various organs and tissues, peripheral nerves, and neuronal cells. Based on the above results, we identified that HPAI H5N8 induced systemic infection in the adult breeder ducks.

정읍지역에서 사육중인 한우에서 Neospora caninum 항체 양성율 조사

This survey was carried out to investigate the seroprevalence of antibodies to Neospora caninum in Korean indigenous cattle that was representative livestock raised in Jeongeup province Jeonbuk Korea. A total of 1,162 sera were tested for N caninum antibodies using ELISA(Herdcheck anti-Neospora, IDEXX Laboratories Inc., Westbrook, Maine USA). 15(1.3%) sera were positive by ELISA. A total of 290 farms were tested, 11(3.8%) farms were positive. Among the seroprevalence of cattle according to the areas, 8 of 44 counties were infected N caninum. Sero-positive 11 farms of N caninum antibodies using ELISA test and 62 of 301 sera (20.6%) were infected to N caninum. We found that cattle be raised in Jeongeup province was slightly infected to N caninum. It seems to be infected of N caninum an early stage, but the positive rates was variable that it was 6%~62%. It was supposed to the highest positive rate of 3 farms had some factors to be infected. The factors were supposed to keep dogs yearly, located the base of hills, and almost feed with imported dried grass. Farmers suppose to the cause of abortion was not the neosporosis but also broke out an accident or was infected Brucella spp. The results of Brucella Rose Bengal Test(RBT) were all negative.

산양에서 Moniezia expensa 감염증례

It`s a case of the goat farm reared about 60 heads in Imsil county was outbreak Moniezia expensa infection. And 18 heads of less than 6 month olds goat were died. During the 2005 summer, morbidity and accumulative mortality were more than 60% and 30%, respectively less than 6 month young goat. Most young goat were suffer from diarrhea, severe weight losses, emaciations, and died. In necropsy, there were about 0.7-2.5m of 2-8 adult M expensa in the small intestinal lumen, swollen mesenteric lymph nodes. Slight hemorrhages were seen in lung and moderate hemorrhages were seen in mucous membrane of small intestine. Also various species(Trichostrongylus spp, Haemo-nchus spp, Eimeria spp) of parasite eggs were seen in fecal test. Pasteurella hemolytica was identified in lung by the API kit(Biomerieux Co. Ltd) for biochemical test. The minimal inhibitory concentration(MIC) results, trimethoprim/sulfamethoxazole, erythromycin, tyrosine, gentamycin, enrofloxacin, and norflocxacin were selected sensitive antibiotics.

Electric field assembled anisotropic alumina composite for thermal dissipation applications

<P>A composite material with anisotropic microstructure was fabricated by DC electric field. Alumina was used as filler for thermal conductivity and polysiloxane resin was used as matrix. According to the alumina morphology and loading amount, various anisotropic microstructures were assembled. The thermal properties of the composite material were investigated parallel to the direction of the applied electric field accordingly. For plate-like alumina with 20 vol% loading, a thermal conductivity of 0.44 W/mK was achieved. With spherically shaped alumina, with an equal loading of 20 vol%, a higher thermal conductivity of 0.46 W/mK was achieved. The increase in the thermal conductivity of the fabricated alumina composites with anisotropic microstructure was attributed to increased filler-to-filler connectivity.</P>

Effects of Nefopam on Streptozotocin-Induced Diabetic Neuropathic Pain in Rats

Background: Nefopam is a centrally acting non-opioid analgesic agent. Its analgesic properties may be related to the inhibitions of monoamine reuptake and the N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor. The antinociceptive effect of nefopam has been shown in animal models of acute and chronic pain and in humans. However, the effect of nefopam on diabetic neuropathic pain is unclear. Therefore, we investigated the preventive effect of nefopam on diabetic neuropathic pain induced by streptozotocin (STZ) in rats. Methods: Pretreatment with nefopam (30 mg/kg) was performed intraperitoneally 30 min prior to an intraperitoneal injection of STZ (60 mg/kg). Mechanical and cold allodynia were tested before, and 1 to 4 weeks after drug administration. Thermal hyperalgesia was also investigated. In addition, the transient receptor potential ankyrin 1 (TRPA1) and TRP melastatin 8 (TRPM8) expression levels in the dorsal root ganglion (DRG) were evaluated.Results: Pretreatment with nefopam significantly inhibited STZ-induced mechanical and cold allodynia, but not thermal hyperalgesia. The STZ injection increased TRPM8, but not TRPA1, expression levels in DRG neurons. Pretreatment with nefopam decreased STZ-induced TRPM8 expression levels in the DRG.Conclusions: These results demonstrate that a nefopam pretreatment has strong antiallodynic effects on STZ-induced diabetic rats, which may be associated with TRPM8 located in the DRG. 세포의 정보통신과 개체의식의 전파에 관한 고찰

Nowadays, the mentality and the material are separated by dualism. In addition, the mental science which wants to prove scientifically about the mental and the energy of the body and the natural science are separated too. In spite of the consideration of the latest Science, our thinking have been divided into the metaphysics and a concrete science, the rationalism and the idealism, the mental and the material. In addition, we regarded unknown things in the same light with the non existent things. We rarely consider the things as a whole and its harmony. About this contradiction, in this paper trying to extract of relationship about the mechanism of the individual consciousness propagated to other individuals or cell, and the information communication system of the cell about the consciousness and the body that is to say the mental and the material which is associated with the human body through the hypothesis and the logical evidence by inspection.

의식과 카르마와 유전의 상관성에 관한 고찰

Today, From the material and the non-material, god and the human, religion and salvation, the formation of material and the creation, evolution and weeding out, the cell and the physiological operation at the elementary particle and the structure of an atom, until the meridian substance and the operation of the space etc. have not been proved clearly. However, there is only superficial knowledge and information but no clear evident for these which is not as clear as the structure and operation of the computers. About this contradiction, In this paper trying to extract of relationship how to prove about the same mechanism of the mental and the heredity of the human about the consciousness. The body that is to say the mental and the material which is associated with the human body through the hypothesis and the logical evidence by inspection about the Qi gong, the cell and the revelation of the heredity, the cause of the illness, Karma and the result of our behavior in this paper.
