Since the development of Bitcoin, the first blockchain-based cryptocurrency, many cryptocurrencies have formed and have traded in markets. The integrity and anonymity of cryptocurrency was enough to raise its value and its price gained worldwide attention. Therefore, many studies are being carried out to predict the price of cryptocurrency for make a profit. We cluster time series through K-Medoids algorithm and train and evaluate each cluster with predictive models. We also examine the predictive performance in Bitcoin price according to the various distance measurement of clustering.

Under the current globalizing process, the Middle East political system reform is an inevitable historical trend, but it will not be smooth. The economic reformative approaches are necessary and important as well as the political reform. The economic reformation and cooperation in this region will make a breakthrough first in the Gulf region with the efforts of GCC. The Arab free trade region will achieve new successes, and continue to play an active role in this area. The economic and political reformative system in the Middle East are expected to achieve greater development in the middle of globalizing 21st century and to enhance their status and role in the world.
DB3 from Antarctic lichen inhibits the growth of B16F10 melanoma cells in vitro and in vivo

Malignant melanoma is a fatal disease with an increasing global incidence. Despite numerous studies focused on anti-cancer drugs, a variety of side effects of cancer treatment remain challenging. Thus, there is a pressing need to identify novel anti-cancer agents with minimal cytotoxicity and side effects. DB3 (1,3,7,9-tetrahydroxy-2,8-dimethyl-4,6-di[ethanoyl]dibenzofuran) is a member of the dibenzofuran family and is extracted from Ramalina terebrata (Antarctic lichen). We investigated if DB3 exerted an antitumor effect on B16F10 melanoma cells. The results revealed that DB3 exerted time- and dose-dependent reduction of cell viability by inducing apoptosis and significantly suppressing cell proliferation through cell cycle arrest in the G0/G1 phase in B16F10 melanoma cells. Additionally, DB3 impeded the migration and invasiveness of B16F10 cells. Subsequently, we observed that DB3 decreased the expression levels of Cdk4/Cyclin D1 and the phosphorylation of p38, JNK, ERK, and AKT. Furthermore, DB3 decreased melanoma tumor growth in a mouse tumor syngraft model. Based on these findings, we propose that DB3 possesses potential for use as an anti-cancer agent for melanoma treatment.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is one of the most high-risk cancers; however, it has been suggested that estrogen signaling in CRC could have a protective effect. Therefore, we focused on the function of the G protein-coupled estrogen receptor (GPER) among the estrogen receptors in CRC. In this study, we investigated the therapeutic effect of resveratrol via GPER in CRC (RKO and WiDr) cells, CRC cell-derived xenograft models, and organoids (30T and 33T). Resveratrol significantly suppressed cell viability and proliferation in highly GPER-expressing RKO cells compared to that in low GPER-expressing WiDr cells. In xenograft models, resveratrol also delayed tumor growth and exhibited a high survival rate depending on GPER expression in RKO-derived tumors. Furthermore, resveratrol significantly inhibited the viability of organoids with high GPER expression. Additionally, the anticancer effect of resveratrol on CRC showed that resveratrol rapidly responded to GPER, while increasing the expression of p-ERK and Bax and cleaving PARP proteins.
