<P>We have developed a transparent, non-sticky silicate nano mold with high mechanical strength and excellent releasing properties through a simple phase conversion process of polyvinylsilazane (PVSZ) replica mold. This inexpensive inorganic polymer derived silicate mold does not require extra surface modification and could be used as an ideal mold with low adhesion force for nanoimprint lithographic applications. The silicate hard nano mold allows fabrication of sub-100 nm patterns down to 30 nm. The mold can be used for both UV and thermal NIL duplication processes in a repeated manner. The synergy effect of 1,6-bis(N,N'-dibenzyl thiocarbamoyl dithio)-hexane (DBTH) on the properties of filled natural rubber (NR) compounds was studied. A combined vulcanization system of sulfenamide and DBTH exhibited a significant induction time and fast cure rate. It was also found that adjusting the DBTH/sulfur ratio could easily control the cure rate and scorch time. The tensile strength and rebound properties were hardly affected by the sulfur loading in the compound. In contrast, an increase in the sulfur and DBTH concentrations produced a higher modulus and rebound and lower heat build-up. A small amount of DBTH in the compound was more effective in improving the physical properties than an excess amount. This would be related to the synergy effect between DBTH and n-tert-butyl-2-benzothiazole sulfenamide (TBBS).

Autoimmune insulin syndrome is characterized by insulin autoantibody, hyperinsulinemia, and fasting hypoglycemia without previous insulin immunization. This syndrome shows discordant levels between immunoreactive insulin and C-peptide. Negative results of an anatomic study of the pancreas and an inability to reproduce hypoglycemia during a prolonged fast may be helpful in excluding insulinoma. Symptomatic hypoglycemia usually develops during an oral glucose tolerance test. This syndrome is a self-limited disorder. Recently, we experienced one case that developed symptomatic hypoglycemia during both the fasting & oral glucose tolerance test, and another that developed symptomatic hypoglycemia during the oral glucose tolerance test but not the fasting test. Hereby, we present these cases with a review of the literature

감귤그린병(Citrus Huanglongbing Disease)은 전 세계적으로 감귤산업에 가장 큰 피해를 주는 병해로 국내 미분포종인 귤나무이(Diaphorina citri Kuwayama)가 매개충으로 알려져 있다. 바이러스에 감염된 나무는 5~12년내에 대부분 고사하며 열매는 크지 못하고 색이 들지 않는 증상을 보여 상품성을 저해시킨다. 현재 접목, 묘목, 매개충등의 유입으로 전 세계적으로 확산되고 있는 실정이다. 귤나무이의 국내 분포가능성이 꾸준히 제시되면서 유입 대비를 위한 예찰방법 및 동정법 개발이 필요한 실정이다. 제주도에는 총 33종이 분포하는 것으로 알려져 있으며(권, 1983; Cho & burckhardt, 2017) 2016년부터 지금까지의 조사로 11종의 나무이와 10종의 기주식물을 확인되었다. 귤나무가 속해있는 운향과를 기주로 하는 나무이는 발견되지 않았다.
소아청소년 체중상태에 따른 식사의 질 평가 및 비만과의 연관성 분석

Numerous studies have investigated quantifying dietary intake according to the weight status of children and adolescents. However, studies on differences in quality among diets remain scarce. This study compared diet quality by weight status and examined correlations between quality of diet and obesity in children and adolescents. Two hundred fourteen children and adolescents aged between 9 and 18 years participated in this study (Normal weight n=104, Obesity n=110). The data related to food intake were investigated by dietary records, Diet Quality Index-International (DQI-I), and Nutrition Quotient (NQ) and then compared with Dietary Reference Intakes for Korean (KDRIs). In DQI-I, moderation factor (control of unhealthy foods) score was 21.7 in the normal weight group and 19.5 in the obesity group. The normal weight group showed a higher score for moderation factor than the obesity group (P<0.001). Compared with KDRIs, vitamin B6, folate, vitamin C, vitamin E, calcium, potassium, and zinc intakes were insufficient in both groups. Multiple logistic regression analysis revealed that DQI-I moderation was negatively associated with obesity (OR=0.77, 95% CI 0.69-0.87) after adjustment for age, gender, income, and total energy intake. Our results suggest that children and adolescents require nutritional education to understand the importance of vitamin and mineral consumption. Especially, education for children and adolescents with obesity needs to emphasize moderation of nutrient intake that can cause diseases with hyper-ingestion such as sodium and high calorie-low nutrition foods.

<P>In this study, we investigated the inhibitory mechanisms of resorcinol in B16F10 mouse melanoma cells. We found that resorcinol reduced both the melanin content and tyrosinase activity in these cells. In addition, resorcinol suppressed the expression of melanogenic gene microphthalmia-associated transcriptional factor (MITF) and its downstream target genes tyrosinase, tyrosinase-related protein (TRP)-1, and TRP-2. In addition, we found that resorcinol reduced intracellular cAMP levels and protein kinase A (PKA) activity, and increased phosphorylation of the p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK). Resorcinol was also found to directly inhibit tyrosinase activity. However, resorcinol-induced decrease in melanin content, tyrosinase activity, and tyrosinase protein levels were attenuated by SB203580, a p38 MAPK inhibitor. Taken together, these data indicate that anti-melanogenic activity of resorcinol is be mediated through the inhibition of cAMP signaling and activation of p38 MAPK, indicating that resorcinol may be a possible ameliorating agent in the treatment of hyperpigmentation skin disorders.</P>
