Sector Based Multiple Camera Collaboration for Active Tracking Applications

This paper presents a scalable multiple camera collaboration strategy for active tracking applications in large areas. The proposed approach is based on distributed mechanism but emulates the master-slave mechanism. The master and slave cameras are not designated but adaptively determined depending on the object dynamic and density distribution. Moreover, the number of cameras emulating the master is not fixed. The collaboration among the cameras utilizes global and local sectors in which the visual correspondences among different cameras are determined. The proposed method combines the local information to construct the global information for emulating the master-slave operations. Based on the global information, the load balancing of active tracking operations is performed to maximize active tracking coverage of the highly dynamic objects. The dynamics of all objects visible in the local camera views are estimated for effective coverage scheduling of the cameras. The active tracking synchronization timing information is chosen to maximize the overall monitoring time for general surveillance operations while minimizing the active tracking miss. The real-time simulation result demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed method.
Robust Interval Estimation Using Density Power Divergence

The maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) is known to be asymptotically efficient but it is not robust with respect to outliers and model misspecification. Basu et al. (1998) suggest a family of divergence measures called density power divergences , which is based on density. Each measure in this family is indexed by a single tuning parameter a. This parameter controls the trade-off between asymptotic efficiency and robustness of the estimators. The L₂-distance and the Kullback-Leibler divergence belong to this family. With a appropriately chosen tuning parameter, one can get a minimum density power divergence estimator (MDPDE). For 0 < a < 1, the estimator is in between MLE and minimum L₂-distance estimator L₂E. Note that MLE is efficient-but-nonrobust while L₂E is robust-butinefficient. Hong, Kim (2001) suggest an automatic selection of a. In this paper we will suggest a confidence interval using MDPDE when the data set is contaminated. Bootstrap resampling will be used to obtain the confidence interval. It is expected that the resulting confidence intervals (called MDPD bootstrap confidence intervals) are robust with respect to the outliers. The performances of the MDPDE bootstrap confidence intervals are investigated via simulation study.

다중선형공격은 선형공격을 강화하기 위한 방법으로 연구되어왔다. 본 논문에서는 다중선형공격에 관한 최신 이론인 Biryukov의 공격 알고리즘이 비선형 키스케줄을 가진 블록암호에 적용이 어려움을 지적하고, 새로운 다중선형공격법을 제안한다. 작은 블록암호에 대한 실험을 통하여 새로운 다중선형공격법에 관한 이론이 실제로도 매우 잘 적용될 수 있음이 보여진다. Multiple linear cryptanalysis has been researched as a method building up the linear attack strength. We indicate that the lastest linear attack algorithm using multiple approximations, which was proposed by Biryukov et al. is hardly applicable to block ciphers with highly nonlinear key schedule, and propose a new multiple linear attack algorithm. Simulation of the new attack algorithm with a small block cipher shows that theory fot the new multiple linear cryptanalysis works well in practice.

기업이 매출을 신장하고 자신의 웹싸이트에 접속하는 고객들의 재방문 횟수를 늘리기 위하여, 고객이 원하는 제품정보를 효과적으로 전달해야 하는 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 그러므로, 웹싸이트상의 올바른 제품정보 배치에 대한 중요성은 강조되어야 한다. 이 논문에서는, 제품 비교 서비스에서 정보 배치의 형태에 따라 고객의 정보검색 패턴이 어떻게 바뀌는지를 연구하였다. 분석결과로 제품 비교 웹서비스의 수직적 배치 형태에서는 사람들은 특성 정보 경로를 따르는 경향을 보였으며, 수평적 배치 형태에서는 제품 정보 경로를 따르는 경향을 보였다. It is important for firms to help customers find the products or information they need in order to increase sales and promote return visits to their websites. Hence, the presentation of product information is very important in e-commerce websites. In this research, we study how disposition styles can influence browsing patterns. The test results show that people are inclined to use feature information paths in the vertical disposition style and product information paths in the horizontal disposition style. With vertical disposition, users are more likely to follow feature information paths which may help them focus on comparisons across products.

Over the past few decades, manufacturing factories have undertaken massive improvements. Early attempts at introducing information technology in manufacturing factories were mainly based on improvements of processes and systems with the purpose of enhancing productivity, quality, and cost reduction. A survey was carried out at a manufacturing company for a purpose of establishing direction of development for technology and services through deduction of current problems and required improvements. As a result, a total of 173 problems were deduced and fundamental causes of the problems were revealed. Ubiquitous factory is a concept of future manufacturing factory in which human's endeavors and technologies are harmoniously interwoven. In this paper, we proposed three element of ubiquitous factory concept; intelligent support, instinctive interaction and ability-sharing.
