      • 7, 12-Dimethylbenzanthrancene로 유도된 햄스터의 협낭암모델에서 p53 변이 단백의 발현과 Proliferating Cell Nuclear Antigen에 의한 세포증식능의 변화

        사람의 구강암의 발생기전을 밝히고자 햄스터의 협낭암모델을 이용한 연구가 광범위하게 이루어지고 있다. 두경부의 편평세포암종을 예방하고 조기 발견을 위해서는 이런 종양의 병인을 좀더 깊이 이해하고 위험도를 인지하기 위한 생화학적 또는 유전학적 표지자의 개발이 필요한 실정이다. 본 실험의 결과를 종합해 보면 DMBA도포로 인하여 햄스터 협낭에 정상점막부터 과형성, 이형성 및 편평세포암종의 발생을 시기별로 관찰할 수 있었다. 이는 두경부암의 '영역 암화'와 '다단계 과정'을 지지하는 소견임을 알 수 있었다. 면역조직학적 기법에 의해 p53 변이는 햄스터의 전기암 병소인 과형성부터 나타난 병변이 이형성를 거쳐 편평세포암종으로 진행될수록 빈도가 증가되어 이 종양의 비교적 초기에 p53 변이가 생겨 DMBA로 유도된 햄스터의 편평세포암종의 발생 및 진전에 p53 유전자의 변이가 관여함을 알 수 있었다. 세포의 증식능을 알 수 있는 PCNA 양성인 세포수는 대조군의 정상조직보다 실험군의 전구암 병소에서 더 많았다. 전구암 병소중 이형성이 중정도 이상인 경우 더욱 많이 염색되었다. 그러나 과형성, 과각화증, 이형성와 유두종에서 매우 다양한 PCNA의 발현을 보였다. 편평세포암종에서 전구암 병소보다 더욱 많은 수의 PCNA 양성세포가 관찰되어 병변이 진행될수록 종양의 증식능도 높아짐을 알 수 있었다. 이와 같이 햄스터의 협낭암 발생에 p53 변이가 세포증식능의 증가와 수반되어 암발생의 비교적 초기부터 나타나 p53 변이와 증가된 PCNA 증식능은 두경부암의 재발이나 제2원발암의 발생 위험도를 측정할 수 있는 한 중요한 표지자가 된다고 생각되었다. Squamous cell carcinoma(SCC) of Syrian golden hamster buccal pouch is the best animal model that is histogenetically and morphologically similar to events involved in the development of SCC in human oral cavity. Mutation of the p53 gene is a common event in many human cancers and is also found in certain rodent tumors. Thirty-five SCCs of the buccal pouch of Syrian hamster induced by topical treatment of 7, 12-dimethylbenzanthrancene(DMBA) for 16 weeks were sectioned and examined for potential alterations of p53 expression and PCNA by immunohistochemical methods. Twenty normal control hamsters without DMBA treatment and 25 each hamsters with DMBA treatment for 4 and 8 weeks were also examined. In the mucosa of normal control animals, there was no p53 expression. In hyperplastic mucosal lesions(4 weeks DMBA exposure), the p53 positivity was limited to the basal cell layer and in dysplatic lesions(8 weeks DMBA exposure), the p53 positivity was expanded to the parabasal and superficial layers. In SCCs, p53 staining was diffusely positive in all 35 hamsters. The staining patterns and distribution for p53 protein immunostaining were similar to those of the PCNA staining. These results suggest that p53 and PCNA alterations occur in a multistep fashion during Syrian hamster oral cavity carcinogenesis. Since mutation of the p53 gene and increased PCNA activity appear to be an important step in the pathogenesis of DMBA-induced hamster cheek pouch SCC, one may surmise that similar pathogenetic changes may occur in hauman oral cavity SCC. Therefore, p53 alteration and PCNA positivity can be utilized for risk assessment and may serve as biomarkers for oral carcinogenesis in both Syrian hamsters and humans.(Korean J Otolaryngol 38 : 9,1995)

        The High Performance of Polydopamine-coated Electrospun Poly(ether sulfone) Nanofibrous Separator for Lithium-ion Batteries

        In this work, electrospun poly(ether sulfone) (PES) nanofibrous membranes coated with hydrophilic polydopamine (PES-PDA) were successfully prepared. As a separator of lithium-ion batteries, the prepared PESPDA nanofibrous membrane shows ultrahigh porosity, due to the extra-large surface area of the nanofibers. Moreover, good thermostability of PES and polydopamine also results in the low shrinkage of the membrane under high temperature. As a result of the large number of amine groups and phenolic hydroxyl groups from the polydopamine, superior electrolyte wettability and high liquid electrolyte uptake capacity of the PES-PDA nanofibrous membrane have also been disclosed through comprehensive study, which would decrease the electrolyte absorption time and improve the performance of the battery. In the cell evaluation, an expected enhancement of cell performance with reduced polarization phenomenon and improved cycling stability is observed after coating with polydopamine, which certifies the validity of the polydopamine coating.

        Related-key Impossible Boomerang Cryptanalysis on LBlock-s

        LBlock-s is the core block cipher of authentication encryption algorithm LAC, which uses the same structure of LBlock and an improved key schedule algorithm with better diffusion property. Using the differential properties of the key schedule algorithm and the cryptanalytic technique which combines impossible boomerang attacks with related-key attacks, a 15-round related-key impossible boomerang distinguisher is constructed for the first time. Based on the distinguisher, an attack on 22-round LBlock-s is proposed by adding 4 rounds on the top and 3 rounds at the bottom. The time complexity is about only 2<sup>68.76</sup> 22-round encryptions and the data complexity is about 2<sup>58</sup> chosen plaintexts. Compared with published cryptanalysis results on LBlock-s, there has been a sharp decrease in time complexity and an ideal data complexity.

        Raman Lidar for the Measurement of Temperature, Water Vapor, and Aerosol in Beijing in the Winter of 2014

        To measure atmospheric temperature, water vapor, and aerosol simultaneously, an efficient multi-function Raman lidar using an ultraviolet-wavelength laser has been developed. A high-performance spectroscopic box that utilizes multicavity interference filters, mounted sequentially at small angles of incidence, is used to separate the lidar return signals at different wavelengths, and to extract the signals with high efficiency. The external experiments are carried out for simultaneous detection of atmospheric temperature, water vapor, and aerosol extinction coefficient in Beijing, under clear and hazy weather conditions. The vertical profiles of temperature, water vapor, and aerosol extinction coefficient are analyzed. The results show that for an integration time of 5 min and laser energy of 200 mJ, the mean deviation between measurements obtained by lidar and radiosonde is small, and the overall trend is similar. The statistical temperature error for nighttime is below 1 K up to a height of 6.2 km under clear weather conditions, and up to a height of 2.5 km under slightly hazy weather conditions, with 5 min of observation time. An effective range for simultaneous detection of temperature and water vapor of up to 10 km is achieved. The temperature-inversion layer is found in the low troposphere. Continuous observations verify the reliability of Raman lidar to achieve real-time measurement of atmospheric parameters in the troposphere.

      • Intranasal Endoscopic Management of Cerebrospinal Fluid Rhinorrhea

        Background:Management of patients with cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) rhinorrhea remains controversial. Objective:Thetherapeutic effect of endoscopic repair of CSF rhinorrhea was evaluated. Method:Sixteen patients with CSF rhinorrhea involvingthe anterior skull base underwent intranasal endoscopic management between 1991 and 1998. Repair materials includedfree nasal mucosa, muscle tissue and myofascia. Results:Of the sixteen patients, ten were results of head trauma, three wereresults of endoscopic surgery, two were at the postoperative stage of meningoma, and one was at the postoperative stage of hypophysealadenoma. Fourteen patients had one fistula and the others two. During follow-ups lasting five months to six years, all ofthe cases were successfully treated without complication either intra- or post-operatively on the first attempt. Conclusion:Theendoscopic technique provides a safe and effective means for repairing many patients with CSF rhinorrhea. Some key points tokeep in mind when applying this techniques are to prepare a fresh graft recipient site and to embed free muscle into the intracranialcavity through the entrance of the dural defect.

        Optimization of variable blank holder force based on a sharing niching RBF neural network and an improved NSGA-II algorithm

        Variable blank holder force (VBHF) is an important process parameter in sheet metal forming. The purpose of this study is to propose a sharing niching radial basis function (SNRBF) neural network for VBHF optimization. Two methods are put forward to improve the prediction accuracy of a RBF neural network. (1) A RBF neural network is trained by a sharing niching technique to achieve global optimal nodes. (2) In Latin hypercube design, Spearman correlation analysis is employed to decrease sample correlation. In addition, in order to improve the performance of the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm (NSGA-II), excellent individuals in each class of non-dominated individuals are selected by employing immune operators. Based on the Spearman correlation analysis and the Latin hypercube method, training samples are generated and numerical simulations are performed for a double C part. The surrogate models between VBHF and forming quality are constructed by a SNRBF neural network. The Pareto frontier solutions are achieved by employing the improved NSGA-II algorithm. Grey relational analysis is applied to determine the optimal VBHF loading trajectory. The results show decreased wrinkles in the optimized forming part and greater uniformity in the plastic deformation by employing the optimized VBHF, thereby leading to improvement in the forming quality of the double C.

        An Experimental and Numerical Investigation on the Twist Springback of Transformation Induced Plasticity 780 Steel Based on Different Hardening Models

        Investigation on twist springback is important to improve the accuracy of forming parts. In this paper, a double C rail made of transformation induced plasticity 780 (TRIP 780) steel is designed, and the stamping and twist springback are simulated with ABAQUS based on three different hardening models (including Ziegler, Johnson-Cook and combined hardening models). A new index for calculating the twist springback is proposed, which is based on the angle between two end section lines of the double C rail. The experimental results of twist springback are compared with the calculation results from three different hardening models. The calculation results based on combined hardening model are the closest to the experiment data. In order to compensate twist springback, a curved surface die is designed based on the geometric shape of the double C rail after twist springback. The stamping and twist springback are simulated based on the curved surface die and combined hardening model, and the twist springback is decreased obviously after compensation, which shows that the compensation of twist springback is effective.
