        김억의 유행가 가사의 장르적 특성과 문학사적 위상 - 대중적 정서의 여성성을 중심으로

          Arguing that the lyrics of Eok Kim"s popular songs in the 1930s are based on the emotion and format that he pursued from the outset of his poems, this research examines whether these characteristics were further developed in the lyrics of popular songs. In addition, it investigates how the femininity excited by these sentiments functions in popular culture, and how significant these characteristics are in the history of modern poetry.<BR>  Kim considered "Gyeokjosi" (swing verse) to be the most appropriate for showing the sentiment of the Korean race, viz., Joseon sentiment. He thus writes popular songs based on this format. "Gyeokjosi" is the form fit into reciting and singing. It is one of the regular rules of versification which can effectively realize the ideal of poems that Kim thought of as songs. By dint of this, Kim hoped that the modern poems could be created which the whole nation could enjoy.<BR>  This paper approaches the lyrics of popular songs, i.e., ballad poems as a branch of popular literature. It can be conjectured that the lyrics of popular songs served as popular poems when popular novels, particularly lowbrow novels, were in vogue in the mid- and late-1930s. Therefore, the lyrics of popular songs in the 1930s showed the origin of the genre of popular poems, in which sense they can be evaluated to have expanded the field of modern poetry. What calls for attention, among others, is that Kim focuses on sadness, rather than gladness, and he gives elegiac feeling which awakens the femininity. These sensitivity and femininity are apt for the fundamental sentiment of popular songs, which can get supported by the populace.<BR>  Kim’s lyrics of popular songs in the 1930s plays a role of popular poems well enough in that they effectively reveal the public sentiment in those days, grounded upon the feelings of sorrows and pathos which Kim himself sought after. Furthermore, the femininity suggested by sorrow and grief plays an important part in appealingly expressing the sense of loss and helplessness felt by the general public who were living in the critical reality of colonial modern times.<BR>  These facts confirms that the role of contemporary poets was crucial in the process in which the femininity, sentimentalism, and elegiac sense were incorporated into the popular ballad poems of the literary circles where they had been estranged while the elite being in the main. In this light, Eok Kim and his works of popular song lyrics can called a significant trailblazer for the history of modern poetry.

        공동주택단지 보행자전용도로의 기능 확장과 개선방안 사례연구

        (연구배경 및 목적) 우리나라는 1960년대 산업화 이후 도시화가 진행되면서 양적위주의 공동주택 공급이 이루어졌다. 도시 공간과 배타적으로 존재하는 공동주택 단지는 외부와의 단절을 초래하였으며 이로 인해 공동주택 단지 외부공간을 구성하는 보행공간의 역할과 중요성은 간과되어졌다. 보행자전용도로는 통과나 이동을 위한 선적인 공간이기도 하지만 지역사회를 구성해 가는 최소단위로써 거주자들의 생활 기능 및 이웃과의 교류가 발생하는 면적인 공간으로 전환될 수 있는 공간이다. 이에 본 연구의 목적은 주거단지의 보행자전용도로 기능 확장을 검토하고 주거단지의 재생을 위한 보행자전용도로의 역할과 유효성을 제안하는 것에 있다. (연구방법) 연구대상은 주거단지 사이에 위치하며 인접 도시계획시설들과 적극적인 연계를 가진 보행자전용도로를 선정하였다. 연구의 공간적 범위는 인천광역시 남동구의 소래 휴먼시아 1,3단지 사이에 위치한 보행자전용도로로 폭은 약 9m, 길이는 약 334m이다. 연구의 진행은 첫째, 선행연구 및 문헌자료를 통해 보행공간에서 발생하는 활동과 보행환경의 질적 구성요소에 대해 고찰한다. 둘째, 이론적 고찰에 근거하여 분석의 틀을 작성하고 현장관찰을 통해 이용행태 관찰 및 보행환경 조사를 진행한다. 셋째, 분석 결과를 종합하여 보행자전용도로에 대한 개선안을 도출하고 방향을 제안한다. 넷째, 전문가 평가를 통해 개선방안에 대한 유효성을 검토한다. (결과) 보행자 활동분석과 보행환경의 질적 평가 결과, 현재의 보행자전용도로는 대부분 걷기와 같은 필수적활동의 행태를 보였고 이용가능성, 안심안전성, 쾌적성을 제외한 나머지 보행공간의 기능들은 낮은 척도를 보였다. 이와 같이 보행자전용도로가 개선해야할 점을 도출하였고, 공간계획의 방향에 맞게 개선안을 제안하였다. 유휴공간을 활용한 휴식 및 교류 공간 조성, 기존주호를 활용한 상업시설 및 문화교육시설 조성, 커뮤니티 시설의 연도형 배치를 통한 공공활동 및 문화프로그램 공간으로 조성하였다. (결론) 본 연구에서는 우리나라의 일정 규모 이상의 공동주택 단지에 일반적으로 건설되어지는 보행자전용도로를 커뮤니티가 공유하는 공유재의 기능으로 확장하여 지역사회와 교류할 수 있는 공간으로 기능을 극대화 하고자 하였다. 이와 같은 개선방향은 이웃과의 우호적인 관계형성 및 지역사회의 새로운 공동체를 형성하며 단절과 소외 등의 사회적 문제를 해결할 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있으며 다른 보행자전용도로의 개선안으로써 참고가 될 것이다. (Background and Purpose) After industrialization in Korea in the 1960s, urbanization progressed and quantity-oriented apartments were supplied. Apartments, existing exclusively in an urban space, caused a disconnect from the outside world. Consequently, the role and importance of pedestrian spaces that constitute the exterior space of apartment housing were overlooked. The pedestrian-only roads are not only an axis space for passage or movement, but are also a space that can be converted into an area where residents' living functions and interaction with neighbors occur as the smallest unit constituting a local community. This study examines the functional expansion of pedestrian-only roads in residential complexes, proposing the role and effectiveness of pedestrian-only roads for the regeneration of residential complexes. (Method) The study subject selected was pedestrian-only roads between residential complexes, that actively linked to neighboring urban infrastructures. The spatial scope of the study are the pedestrian-only roads between Sorae Humansia Complex 1 and 3 in Namdong-gu, Incheon, with a width of about 9m and a length of about 334m. First, the qualitative components of the pedestrian environment and activities that occur in the pedestrian space are considered through previous studies and literature data. Second, the framework of the analysis is prepared based on theoretical consideration; additionally, behavior observation and pedestrian environment survey are conducted through field observation. Third, an improvement plan for pedestrian-only roads is derived and the direction is proposed by combining the analysis results. Fourth, the effectiveness of the improvement plan is examined through expert evaluation. (Results) Because of the analysis of pedestrian behavior and the qualitative evaluation of the pedestrian environment, most of the current pedestrian-only roads showed behaviors of essential activities, such as walking, and other functions of the pedestrian space―except usability, safety, and comfort ―were low. Thus, the improvement of pedestrian-only roads was derived, and the improvement plan was proposed following the direction of the spatial plan. Rest and community spaces were created using unused spaces; commercial and cultural education facilities were created using existing housing; and public activities and cultural program s were created through the corridor-type arrangement of community facilities. (Conclusions) In this study, the pedestrian-only road―generally constructed in apartment complexes of a certain size or larger in Korea, was expanded to function as public property shared by the community and to maximize its function as a space to interact with the local community. This improvement direction is meaningful in that it can form new communities with neighbors and solve social problems, such as disconnection and alienation. Further, it can be a reference for the improvement plans of other pedestrian-only roads.

        본 연구의 목적은 스포츠윤리학의 방법론 제공을 위해 질적연구방법론을 살펴보는 데 있다. 실증주의의 한계를 인정한 후 태동한 질적연구는 모든 학문분야에서 활용하고 있다는 점에서 스포츠윤리학의 학문적 토대를 공고히 하는데 질적연구가 방법적 활용을 넘어 연구방식, 초점, 스포츠윤리의 주요 질문들을 다양한 방식으로 탐구하는 통로가 되어줄 것이다. 이를 위해 2장에서는 스포츠윤리학에서 질적연구의 필요성을 논하고 탐구되어야 할 질적연구방법 여섯 가지를 스포츠윤리 연구 질문과 함께 제시한다. 3장에서는 스포츠윤리학자들이 질적연구방법을 수행할 때 필요한 자질과 역량을 자기연구 입장에서 논하며, 4장에서는 질적연구방법이 스포츠윤리학에 기여할 수 있는 방법론적, 학문적 및 실천적 시사점을 제시한다. The purpose of this study is to explore qualitative research methodologies to provide for sport ethics. Qualitative research, which began after acknowledging the limitations of positivism is used in all academic fields, so qualitative research will be a channel to explore major questions of research methods, focus, and sport ethics. Chapter 2 suggests six qualitative research methods to be explored in sport ethics. Chapter 3 discusses the qualities and capabilities needed for sports ethic researchers to conduct qualitative research methods from a self-research perspective. Chapter 4 explains academic implications that qualitative research methods can contribute to sport ethics.

        아동병원 간호사의 의사소통능력, 자기효능감이 간호사-환아부모 파트너십에 미치는 영향

        Purpose: This study aimed to identify the influence of communication competence and self-efficacy of nurses at children’s hospitals on the nurse-parent partnership. Methods: Data were collected by surveying (from July 4th to August 4th, 2019) 162 nurses who had 6 or more months of experience across 15 children’s hospitals in G City and B Metropolitan City. Using SPSS 23.0 for Windows for data analysis, t-tests, analysis of variance, Bonferroni tests, Pearson’s correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis were performed. Results: The nurse-parent partnership showed significantly positive correlations with nurses’ communication competence and with self-efficacy. There was a significantly positive correlation between nurses’ communication competence and self-efficacy. The factors influencing the nurse-parent partnership were nurses’ communication competence, job satisfaction, and self-efficacy; the total explanatory power of these variables was 47.0%. Conclusion: Since the communication competence of nurses at children's hospitals was identified as a major factor influencing the nurse-parent partnership, it may be meaningful to conduct basic research aimed at developing strategies to improve this partnership at children’s hospitals.

        Both endurance- and resistance-type exercise prevents neurodegeneration and cognitive decline in mice with impaired glucose tolerance

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of different types of exercise training on neurodegeneration and cognitive function in mice with impaired glucose tolerance (IGT). Thirty-six male C57BL/6 mice were randomly assigned to the control (CO, n = 9) and impaired glucose tolerance (IGT, n = 27) groups. The IGT group consumed 45% high fat diet for 4 weeks and received 40 mg/kg of streptozotocin twice in the lower abdomen to induce IGT. After the IGT induction period, the IGT group was subdivided into IGT + sedentary (IGT, n = 9), IGT + endurance exercise (IGTE, n = 9), and IGT + resistance exercise (IGTR, n = 9). The IGTE and IGTR groups performed treadmill and ladder climbing exercises 5 times per week for 8 weeks, respectively. Fasting glucose and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels were significantly higher in IGT group than in CO, IGTE, and IGTR groups ( p < 0.05). HOMA-IR was significantly higher in IGT group than CO group ( p < 0.05). Hippocampal catalase (CAT) was significantly lower in IGT group than in CO group ( p < 0.05), while beta-amyloid (Aβ) was significantly higher in IGT group than in CO group ( p < 0.05). Hippocampal tau was significantly higher in IGT group than in CO, IGTE, and IGTR groups ( p < 0.05). The Y-maze test performance for cognitive function was significantly lower in IGT group than in CO, IGTE, and IGTR groups ( p <0.05). These results suggest that IGT induces neurodegeneration and negatively affects cognitive function, while regular exercise may be effective in alleviating neurodegeneration and cognitive decline regardless of exercise type.

        Effect of resistance training at different intensities on hippocampal neurotrophic factors and peripheral CCL11 levels in obese mice

        We investigated the effect of moderate- and high-intensity resistance training on hippocampal neurotrophic factors and peripheral CCL11 levels in high-fat diet (HFD)-induced obese mice. C57/black male mice received a 4 weeks diet of normal (control, CON; n = 9) or a high-fat diet (HF; n = 27) to induce obesity. Thereafter, the HF group was subdivided equally into the HF, HF + moderate-intensity exercise (HFME), and HF + high-intensity exercise (HFHE) groups ( n = 9, respectively), and mice were subjected to ladder-climbing exercise for 8 weeks. The hippocampal brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) and nerve growth factor (NGF) levels were significantly lower in the HF group than in the CON group ( p < 0.05). In addition, in the HFME and HFHE groups were significantly higher than in the HF group ( p < 0.05). The peripheral CCL11 levels were significantly higher in the HF group than in the CON group ( p < 0.05). In addition, in the HFME and HFHE groups were significantly lower than in the HF group ( p < 0.05). However, there was no significant difference according to the exercise intensity among the groups. Collectively, these results suggest that obesity can induce down-regulation of neurotrophic factors and inhibition of neurogenesis. In contrast, regardless of exercise intensity, resistance training may have a positive effect on improving brain function by inducing increased expression of neurotrophic factors.

      • Determination of nanomolar levels of reactive oxygen species in microorganisms and aquatic environments using a single nanoparticle-based optical sensor

        <P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Reactive oxygen species (ROS) are strong oxidants, and have attracted considerable attention in both biological and environmental fields. Although various methods for ROS detection, including optical and electrochemical techniques, have been developed, they still face challenging issues in terms of poor sensitivity, reproducibility, stability, and <I>in vivo</I> applicability. Here, we present a sensitive and selective optical sensor for ROS detection, based on single plasmonic nanoprobes and redox-active cytochrome <I>c</I> (Cyt <I>c</I>)-mediated plasmon resonance energy transfer. By measuring the spectral changes of plasmonic nanoprobes, derived from the unique molecular absorption of Cyt <I>c</I> in accordance with the redox state, calibration curves for H<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>2</SUB>, a representative ROS, in various media were obtained over a wide concentration range from 100 mM to 1 nM. Limit of detection and limit of quantification in accordance with the used medium were determined from 8.3 to 12.8 nM and from 27.6 to 42.7 nM, respectively. Selectivity coefficients for major interfering solutes were much lower than 0.1 indicating a good selectivity for ROS. From the dynamic spectral changes, we sensitively monitored ROS generated in <I>Caenorhabditis elegans</I> (<I>C. elegans</I>) exposed to graphene oxide. Based on the calibration curves, we also determined ROS levels in various aquatic environments, such as river streams and a small pond, as a way of environmental monitoring.         A Study on the Single-dose Oral Toxicity of Super Key in Sprague-Dawley Rats

        Objectives: This study was performed to analyze the single-dose oral toxicity of the super key (processed sulfur). Methods: All experiments were conducted at Medvill, an institution authorized to perform non-clinical studies, under the Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) regulations. In order to investigate the oral toxicity of super key. We administered it orally to Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats. The SD rats were divided into four groups of five male and five female animals per group: group 1 being the control group and groups 2, 3, and 4 being the experimental groups. Doses of super key 500 mg/kg, 1,000 mg/kg and 2,000 mg/kg were administered to the experimental groups, and a dose of normal saline solution, 10 mL/kg, was administered to the control group. We examined the survival rates, weights, clinical signs, gross findings and necropsy findings. This study was conducted under the approval of the Institutional Animal Ethics Committee. (Approval number: A01-14018). Results: No deaths or abnormalities occurred in any of the four groups. Although slight decreases in the weights of some female rats were noted, no significant changes in weights or differences in the gross findings between the control group and the experimental groups were observed. To check for abnormalities in organs, we used microscopy to examine representative histological sections of each specified organ; the results showed no significant differences in any of the organs. Conclusion: The results of this research showed that administration of 500 - 2,000 mg/kg of super key did not cause any changes in the weights or in the results of necropsy examinations. Neither did it result in any mortalities. The above findings suggest that treatment with super key is relatively safe. Further studies on this subject are needed to yield more concrete evidence.

        Toluene Inhalation Causes Early Anxiety and Delayed Depression with Regulation of Dopamine Turnover, 5-HT<sub>1A</sub> Receptor, and Adult Neurogenesis in Mice

        Inhaled solvents such as toluene are of particular concern due to their abuse potential that is easily exposed to the environment. The inhalation of toluene causes various behavioral problems, but, the effect of short-term exposure of toluene on changes in emotional behaviors over time after exposure and the accompanying pathological characteristics have not been fully identified. Here, we evaluated the behavioral and neurochemical changes observed over time in mice that inhaled toluene. The mice were exposed to toluene for 30 min at a concentration of either 500 or 2,000 ppm. Toluene did not cause social or motor dysfunction in mice. However, increased anxiety-like behavior was detected in the short-term after exposure, and depression-like behavior appeared as delayed effects. The amount of striatal dopamine metabolites was significantly decreased by toluene, which continued to be seen for up to almost two weeks after inhalation. Additionally, an upregulation of serotonin 1A (5-HT<sub>1A</sub>) receptor in the hippocampus and the substantia nigra, as well as reduced immunoreactivity of neurogenesis markers in the dentate gyrus, was observed in the mice after two weeks. These results suggest that toluene inhalation, even single exposure, mimics early anxietyand delayed depression-like emotional disturbances, underpinned by pathological changes in the brain.
