        당(唐) 태종대(太宗代) 반위(反胃) 치료법의 개발과 백제(百濟) 의자왕(義慈王)의 질병

        唐은 기본적으로 隋의 의료체계를 수용하면서도 醫術世家의 秘傳에 의해 분산ㆍ난립된 醫術의 독점을 국가의 의료체계라는 公的 영역으로 흡수하고자 하였다. 나아가 당은 그 의술을 민간에 유포함으로써 점차 의술세가의 독점적 입지를 좁혀 나갔다. 공익을 위한 의술 공개는 당 왕조의 존재 이유를 백성들에게 가장 효율적으로 각인시키는 방법의 하나였고, 이는 초기 왕조의 안정화에 기여하였다. 당 태종대 당나귀오줌을 이용한 반위 치료법 개발은 이러한 의료정책의 결실이었다. 蔣ㆍ許ㆍ巢氏 醫官들의 연구를 통해 이루어낸 새로운 치료 법은 즉위 초반부터 숙환이 있던 의자왕에게도 주목받았다. 644년 초 의자왕은 당에 파견된 사신을 통해 의사를 알아보았고, 그해 말 입당한 태자 夫餘康信이 당 태종에게 蔣元昌의 왕진을 요청했다. 당시 장원창은 益州道로 파견나가 있었기 때문에 당 태종은 그를 백제에 보낼 수 없었다. 결과적으로 태자를 보내 백제의 신라공격에 대한 입장을 해명하고 신라를 침공하지 않겠다고 약속했던 의자왕이 645년에 신라를 공격했다. 그해 고구려와 전쟁을 시작한 당 태종은 신라를 이용하여 고구려의 병력을 남쪽으로 분산시키고자 했던 의도가 무산되었다. 현재 학계에서는 백제의 신라 공격 이유를 명확하게 설명하지 못하고 있다. 645년 백제의 신라 공격으로 백제와 당의 관계가 악화되었다. 이는 신라가 대당외교에서 성공할 수 있는 여건을 만들어 주었다. 이런 점에서 645년 백제의 신라 공격은 의자왕의 질병과 의사 장원창의 왕진 요청 거부가 중요하게 작용했던 결과라고 할 수 있다. Tang China(618-907), which inherited the medical system of the preceding Sui China(589-618), attempted to reorganize it by absorbing various medical traditions which were then monopolized by hereditary medical families. The hereditary remedies and knowledge of medical specialists who were employed as government physicians were integrated into the state medical system, and the newly developed remedies were open to public. The development of Banwi (反胃, gastric disorder) remedy using donkey urine was one of the cases demonstrating the success of the early Tang medical system. The remedy, developed through a joint research by the physicians from three prestigious medical families in early Tang, was soon to be known to Baekje. King Uija (r. 641-660) of Bakje, who had been suffered from Banwi, dispatched envoys to Tang to ask to send Jiang Yuan-chang to Baekje in 644. The Baekje court seems to have regarded Jiang, a physician who participated in the development of new Banwi remedy, as the most qualified person to cure King Uija. Tang government, however, could not dispatch Jiang to Baekje as he was then working near Sichuan province, hundreds miles from Chang'an, the capital of Tang. As a result, King Uija missed a chance of being treated with the new remedy. Then Baekje, which had once promised not to attack Shilla by sending a prince to Tang, resumed invasion of Shilla in 645, spoiling Emperor Taizong's (r. 626-649) plan to mobilize Baekje's army in his campaign against Goguryeo. As the aftermath of this incident, the relation between Baekje and Tang was irreversibly deteriorated, while Shilla succeeded to consolidate the Shilla-Tang alliance which led to the fall of Baekje in 660. From the perspective of medical diplomacy between Baekje and Tang during the mid 7th centuries, Tang’s failure to meet Baekje’s request for the medical support might have had a grave effect on the Baekje’s decision to move against the Tang’s interests.       • S-344 : The Role of Skeletal Muscle Mass in Development of Metabolic Syndrome

        Introduction: It has been well known that abdominal adiposity is related with insulin resistance and greater risk of metabolic disorder. Skeletal muscle plays central role in insulin mediated glucose disposal of whole body, but we only know a little about the association between skeletal muscle mass and MetS (MetS). The aim of this study is to clarify the clinical role of skeletal muscle mass in developing MetS through using skeletal muscle parameters by body impedance analysis (BIA). Methods: 1,042 healthy adults aged from 20 to 75 years who visited Yeungnam university health promotion center from Jun. 2008 to Jun. 2010 were enrolled. 204 subjects who had prior MetS or chronic disease that can affect to skeletal muscle mass were excluded. After 24 months from baseline, the metabolic parameters were assessed and the development of MetS was diagnosed using modified NCEP-ATP III criteria. From the BIA (Inbody 720), we obtained skeletal muscle mass (SMM, Kg), body fat mass (BFM, Kg), and visceral fat area (VFA, cm2). Then, we had defined as follows; percent of skeletal muscle mass (SMM%, %): SMM (kg)/weight (Kg), skeletal muscle index (SMI, Kg/m2): SMM (Kg)/height (m)2, skeletal muscle to body fat ratio (MFR): SMM (kg)/BFM (Kg) and skeletal muscle to visceral fat ratio (SVR, Kg/cm2): SMM (Kg)/VFA (cm2) Results: Mean follow up periods were 28.7±5.4 months. Among total 838 subjects (46.9±9.9 years, M:F=477:361), 88 (10.5%) were newly diagnosed MetS. 5th quintile of the SMM%, MFR and SVR was associated with decreased risk of development of MetS after adjusting for confounding factors. Conclusion: Decreased skeletal muscle mass may play critical role in development of the MetS and not absolute amount of skeletal muscle mass but relative ratio to body composition may be more important.

      • VHDL을 이용한 유도전동기의 속도제어

        최근에 VHDL을 이용한 ASIC 회로설계 기술이 개발되면서 전용 프로세서의 설계가 용이하게 되어 많은 분야에서 응용되고 있다. 본 논문은 VHDL을 이용한 ASIC 회로설계 기술을 유도전동기의 송도제어에 응용하는 연구로서 유도전동기 구동시스템의 제어부를 효율적으로 설계하고 one-chip으로 구현하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 이를 위해 유도전동기의 속도제어 방식인 슬립제어의 동작레벨을 기술하고 시뮬레이션하여 동작을 확인한 후, 회로를 합성하고 최종적으로 FPGA를 이용하여 속도제어 ASIC을 제작하였다. 본 논문에서 제시된 유도전동기의 속도제어 시스템은 시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 그 타당성을 입증하였다. The ASIC chip design for the speed control of an induction motor has been a subject of increasing interest since an effective system-on-a-chip design methodology is developed. This paper investigates the design and implementation of the ASIC chip for the speed control of an induction motor using VHDL which is a standarded hardware description language. The presented system is implemented using a simple electronic circuit based on FPGA. The overall drive system for the speed control of an induction motor is verified through the simulation and experiment.

        This study is to examine the origin of museum and its spatial structure. The purpose is to understand architecture in the modern life as the origin of the modern architecture in the 20th century, and to reveal the authenticity of modern spaces through spaces of museums. Museums are one of the leading architectural themes from the nineteenth century to the present day. Having a vast influence on entire Europe, they are new modern institutional buildings emerging with new modern technologies and culture. This study analysis museums through three viewpoints in the modern institutional buildings which were 'time', 'boundary' and 'perception'. As a result, spatial structure in museums were formed by things, people and space which were related to the three viewpoints. The phenomenon and the process in the spatial structure of museum are related to the modern architecture, and also relations in the space of museum are extended to the city and the architecture in the present day.

        A high speed and stable A/D conversion data process is required to weigh a mass on moving conveyer weighing platter. The paper presents a new method to obtain stable and fast automatic weighing A/D conversion data process. Dynamic weighting system which is constructed with dual load cell is realized by the stable A/D conversion data preocess algorithm using DSP. The proposed memthod is applied to the real design, and that experimental results showed good performances of the weighing stability.

      • 연강우량 자료를 이용한 수문시계열의 특성 분석

        As the water resources planning is work out, it should have stationarity and randomness to be used hydrological time series data for frequency analysis or modeling which are kinds of probability analysis. But, in the case of domestic, we assume that the hydrological time series data is stationarity but, is not randomness, so it is usual to work out the hydrological analysis. Therefore, as a result, we can not be eliminate the possibility that the hydrological analysis brings about distorted results. Accordingly, in this research, to analysis the properties of hydrological time series data, the trend test, stationary and randomness test were used. The summary of results is as below. Result of the properties of hydrological time series data, in most of the points, the tendency is not indicated, the time series was revealed as randomness which does not have hydrological persistence as definitely stationary. But, from data of yearly rainfall, points for Taegwallyong, Ullungdo, both nonstationarity and persistence were indicated.

      • 화농성 견관절염의 관절경적 처치

        Purpose : The purpose of this study is to evaluate the usefulness of arthroscopic drainage in the management of septic arthritis of the shoulder. Materials and methods : The cases of nine septic glenohumeral joints were evaluated. Each patient was treated by arthroscopic irrigation and necrotic synovectomy, combined with parenteral antibiotics. Result In five of nine shoulders in which treatment was begun four weeks or less after symptoms appeared, a satisfactory functional outcome was obtained, while four patients who were treated after a delay of more than four weeks had poor results. Conclusion : The most significant factors leading to poor results of treatment were delay in instituting treatment, virulence of the infecting organism, and a serious process of underlying disease. Arthroscopic drainage is a valuable procedure for the treatment of the septic arthritis of shoulder. Arthroscopic drainage is a method that has proved effective, with minimal morbidity, in attempts to cure septic arthritis of the shoulder.
