        대체의학 선택에 영향을 미치는 일반인들의 심리사회적 특성

        본 연구의 목적은 대체의학을 선택하는 사람들의 심리사회적 변인을 다차원상에서 분석해 봄으로써 이 요인들이 어떤 방식으로 선택 과정에 영향을 미치는가를 살펴보고, 대체의학을 선호하는 사람들의 특성을 탐색해 보는 것이다. 서울시에 거주하는 일반인 200명(남 92명, 여 108명)을 대상으로 인구 통계학적 특성, 대체의학에 대한 인지도, 정통의학 기법과 대체의학 기법의 특성, 경험한 대체의학 기법의 종류, 성격변인, 대처방식, 건강에 대한 통제감, 사회적 지지를 측정하였다. 본 연구결과, 연구대상 중 약 80%는 한약을 포함한 대체의학적 치료법을 경험해본 것으로 드러났다. 또한, 대체의학적 기법을 선호하는 사람들일수록 대체의학에 대한 인지도가 높고, 연령수준이 높으며, 적극적-행동적 대처방식을 지니고 있고, 건강에 대한 내적 통제감을 지닌 것으로 드러났다. 대체의학에 대한 관심이 급격히 증가하고, 정통의학 기법과는 달리 대체의학적 치료법의 선택에는 심리적인 요인의 영향이 크다는 점을 감안할 때 앞으로 이 분야에 대한 연구가 보다 폭넓게 진행되어야 하겠다. This study examined the characteristics of people who have preference for complementary medicine and also the psychosocial factors that are related to the selection of complementary medicine. Two-hundred subjects recruited from the community were included in this study. Demographic variables, medical service characteristics, health locus of control, social support, coping style, and personality characteristics such as self-esteem, neuroticism, and hypochon-driasis were measured. It turned out that nearly 80% of the subjects had already experienced at least one alternative therapy in the past. However, past experience was not significant in predicting future complementary medicine usage. People who were older in age, had more information about complementary medicine, used active-behavioural coping styles, and had internal locus of control were more likely to use complementary medicine in the future. Recommendations for furthur research is indicated.

        진행성 위암환자에서 Capecitabine/Cisplatin 치료군과 Fluorouracil/Cisplatin 치료군 간의 삶의 질 비교

        The improvement of medical treatment and anticancer drug has led a complete recovery and prolonged survival time of cancer patients. And recent study of cancer has included evaluation of quality of life. This study was performed to evaluate quality of life between Capecitabine/Cisplatin arm and Fluorouracil/Cisplatin arm. This study was performed in the Seoul National University Hospital from August to October 2003. A total of 8 AGC patients on adjuvant chemotherapy successfully completed this study. Method of study is questionnairing by EORTC QLQ-C30, cancer specific questionnaire. The questionnaire consists of Functional, Symptom, Global health quality of life scale. Patients eligible for this study had histologically confirmed stage III or IV AGC. Patients were to be between 18 and 60 years old, and have performance status of 1. Patients were ineligible if they had a history of 6 months prior or concomitant chemotherapy, radiotherapy. Statistically significant differences favoring the Fluorouracil/Cisplatin arm was noted in the physical scale. In addition, patients in the Fluorouracil/Cisplatin arm reported an improvement in physical functioning after one cycle chemotherapy.

        노인 낮병원의 심리사회적 치료 프로그램이 노인의 신경인지기능과 우울 증상에 미치는 효과

        노인에게 있어서 신경인지기능의 저하와 우울 증상은 가장 흔한 장애이며 신체적, 정신적인 면에 많은 영향을 미치고 있다. 또한 이러한 장애중 비임상군에서 심리사회적 치료개입의 효과가 보고되고 있다. 이러한 측면에서 지역사회에서 노인에게 제공되는 심리사회적 치료개입의 중요성이 높아지고 있다. 이전의 연구에서는 대상이 특정 집단이거나, 비교군이 없거나, 치료효과에 대한 추적 관찰이 이루어지지 않는 등의 제한점이 있었으며, 현재 국내의 노인 낮병원은 소수에 불과하고 이러한 낮병원의 치료효과에 대한 연구는 거의 없는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 지역사회 정신보건센터에서 운영하는 노인 낮병원에 참가하는 노인들을 대상으로 낮병원의 심리사회적 프로그램이 노인들의 신경인지기능과 우울 증상에 미치는 효과와 이에 대한 유지 효과의 유무를 알아보고자 하였다. 경기도 광주군 정신보건센터의 노인 낮병원에 참여한 노인을 치료군으로, 치료를 거부하거나 치료 중 탈락한 노인을 비교군으로 하여 10주간의 낮병원 치료전후와 치료종결 후 10주에 신경인지기능은 한국형 간이 정신상태검사(이하 MMSE-K)로, 우울 증상은 단축형노인우울척도(이하 SGDS)로 평가하여 두 군을 비교하였고 치료군의 치료 직후와 치료종결 후 10주를 비교하였다. 연구결과 노인 낮병원의 심리사회적 치료가 시간에 따른 SGDS점수 변화에 통계학적으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤으며, MMSE-K점수 변화에는 통계학적으로 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 또한 10주 추시가 가능했던 치료군 중 약 43%가 10주 후 SGDS가 증가하여 호전되었던 우울증상의 악화를 보였다. 본 연구 결과 노인 낮병원의 심리사회적 치료 프로그램 개입은 노인에게 있어서 우울 증상을 호전시키며 신경인지 기능에는 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 상당수에서 심리사회적 치료 개입으로 인한 우울 증상의 호전이 유지되지 않음을 알 수 있었다. 이는 노인우울증상의 치료에 낮병원의 심리사회적 치료 프로그램이 효과적일 수 있음과 치료 후 이를 유지하기 위한 부가적인 치료개입의 필요성을 시사한다. Cognitive impairment and depression are the most common symptoms affecting the elderly on physical and mental states. Studies have shown that these symptoms in mild cases are improved by psychosocial intervention, emphasizing the importance of therapeutic intervention provided in the community. The purpose of this study was to investigate whether the psychosocial program at a geriatric day care service has any therapeutic effect on the cognitive function and depressive symptoms in the elderly and whether such effect can be maintained. The experimental group was composed of 37 elderly patients attending the day care service at the mental health center located in Kwangju county, Kyonggi province. The control group was composed of 22 elderly patients who either refused intervention or who dropped out of the program. Cognitive function was assessed with the Korean version of the Mini-Mental State Exam(MMSE-K), and depressive symptoms were assessed with the Short-form Geriatric Depression Scale(SGDS). The experimental group and the control group were compared on the score of on each test, which was administered before and after the program and 10 weeks after discontinuation of program. In the experimental group, the scores acquired immediately after the program and at 10 weeks of follow-up were also compared. The results showed that psychosocial intervention at a geriatric day care service was significantly associated with the change in SGDS scores dependent on time but not significantly associated with the change in MMSE-K scores. In the experimental group whose follow-up assessment was possible, it was further shown that 43% of patients had increased SGDS scores 10 weeks after the program ended, indicating that depressive symptoms had worsened. This study suggests that psychosocial therapeutic intervention in the geriatric day care service improve depressive symptoms but not cognitive functions in the elderly. In addition, for a considerable percentage of subjects in the experimental group, the improvements in depressive symptoms were not sustained after the intervention was withdrawn. These findings proposes a need of strengthening therapeutic intervention to maintain such effect.

      • 애착문제를 갖는 아동의 놀이치료 사례연구 : A case study

        The purpose of this study is to examine the efficacy of playtherapy on the child with attachment problem. At the beginning of the study, the child(39-months old girl) had failed to build attachment relationship with parents and showed anxiety of being afraid to be separated from her mother and that attachment disorder also caused physical symptom This therapy used Virginia Axline’s child-centered playtherapy approach and the sand-play therapy method. Also counselling with the child’s mother was implemented to facilitate the effect of the playtherapy on parent-child relationship. The results of this study are as follows. First, this playtherapy deminished physical symptom of the child. The child showed difficulty in going to a toilet and disliked to eat foods at the start of this study. As this playtherapy went on, she tried to go to a toilet and showed interest in what food she liked. Second, this playtherapy had some positive effect on the parent-child relationship. As the mother observed the process of the playtherapy, she realized what her daughter really wanted. And she report that her daughter’s relationship has improved with her father. Third, this playtherapy also helped to improve the child’s relationship with her friends. As the child made a new relationship with the therapist, she had a positive expectation of a future teacher and showed interest on dance-school. And, she made many new friends not only in play situation but also in real situation.

        The results are as follows: (1) Elementary school students apply different rules to problem-solving on electric circuits which is consisted of batteries and bulb; (2) They apply the following rules; In a 4-th grader, the more bulbs and batteries are, the lighter bulbs are, in a 5-th grader, the more batteries are, the lighter bulbs are, and in a 6-th grader, the more bulbs are, the darker bulbs are and if bulbs are parallel, then bulbs become dark.

        Dissolved Air Flotation(DAF) 접촉조의 수리동력학적 조건이 입자의 제거에 미치는 영향

        Hydrodynamic conditions for optimum solids capture within the contact zone, which are governed by the geometry and flow, are not yet well understood. In this research, dimensionless parameters which represent hydrodynamic conditions in the contact zone were derived, using the Buckingham π theorem. Those parameters are Reynolds No. (Re), Froude No. (Fr), Weber No. (We), Local Weber No., and Bubble Capacity No. (Bc). The particle removal rate was investigated by changing each value of the dimensionless parameters. The experimental results indicate that particle removal rate, when gravity dominates and the flow is semi-turbulent (Fr < 0.3, Re < 8000), is higher than when inertia dominates and flow is turbulent. For the We, higher removal rates were obtained in the range of the We < 40. Relative to the Local We, smaller bubbles which are influenced more by surface tension than inertia, demonstrated a higher particle removal rate than larger bubbles. For the Bc, the optimal range is from 0.3 to 0.5. We suggest that these dimensionless parameters can be used to diagnose the performance of and to design a DAF reactor.

      • 교육자치의 정치·사회적 발전 연구 : 1964~1991

        This article on Educational Autonomy System(EAS) in Korea during 1964-1991 reviews socio-historical backgrounds and the practice of EAS. The article focuses on the autonomy unit size, the organization of Boards of Education, and the quality of the Chief State School Officer. The purpose of this study is to draw lessons from past EAS in Korea which should serve as a future direction for improvements. The major findings are as follows: First, Educational Autonomy System during 1964-1991 was not adequately decentralized as the size of the distract unit was in appropriate, and the relationships among School Boards of Education, the Ministry of Education and the State Department of Education were not healthy. Second, EAS during 1964-1991 had problemss in Boards of Education, organization and operation aand the ppuublic could not have firm control over major policy decisions. Third, EAS during this period was too much dependent uppon thee generral administration, and the last finding is that under this period the key personnel for educational addministration were not adequately qualified for fulfilling their roles.

        The number of colleges and college students has shown rapid increase since the Liberation of 1945. In the process of its increase there has been continuous debate on improving the quality of education in general. Liberal education not only plays an important role in college curriculum, but also becomes hot issues in the course of revising the curriculum for the coming century. This paper is present the basic direction and the standard of liberal education and further to develop an independent model for Yong-In University in the future. The Paper begins with the review of Philosophical foundations of liberal education. More specific detail comes with the objective of the issues. Developing a model for Yong-In University remains as an assignment for future research. As Harvard University developed independent and creative liberal education program through Red Book and Columbia did through Carmen Report since 1960, it is proper to have sound discussion for the betterment of curriculum for college students.
