A Study on the Miniaturization of a Protective Device for the Micro Smart Grid Simulator

In this paper, a miniaturization methodology of protective devices (PDs) was proposed which plays a key role in evaluating the efectiveness of the developed protection and control algorithms in the micro smart grid simulator. The micro PD was designed to have the rated voltage of 19 V and the breaking current of 20 A, and was designed in a multi-layered hardware structure to satisfy the size of 13×13 cm2 . Also, the micro PD was designed in a multifunctional structure to allow one micro PD to perform all the functions of the circuit breaker, recloser and switches on the micro smart grid simulator to enhance the efciency of development. Finally, it was verifed that the developed micro PD can be applied as protective devices of the micro smart grid simulator by showing that it operates correctly according to the predetermined operation sequence for the test scenarios on the built test system.

In this paper trip generation patterns by time of day are explored to understand household-base travel making behaviors. Understanding of the trip-making behavior by time of day is a crucial aspect in travel demand forecast in future as well as an empty hall in classical four-step demand forecast procedure. In this paper, data collected in Seoul, Korea in 1997 is utilized in analysis and modeling. Cluster analysis technique is employed to group households, which has similar travel making patterns by time-of-day. The resulting cluster groups are adopted to construct multinominal logit models. The results show that the models developed provide trip-making patterns in households highly depend on the socio-economic characteristics of household such as household size, number of employers, number of cars owned and so forth. In addition, these results imply that the model developed in these study is reliable and a promising practical improvement to traditional four-step procedure.

Plantar fasciitis is a repetitive microtrauma overload injury of the attachment of the plantar fascia at the inferior aspect of the calcaneus. The diagnosis of plantar fasciitis is common among athletes in many sports, primarily those sports that involve running. Common treatments for plantar fasciitis, including ice, stretching, ultrasound, and shoe inserts are helpful in reducing the symptoms. However, recurrence of the problem is common. By understanding the potential biomechanical causes of this disorder it may be possible to correct the anatomical and biomechanical variables that cause plantar fasciitis and reduce the rate of recurrence as well as speed the rehabilitation process. It may also be possible to identify predisposing maladaptations that can be corrected, therefore, preventing the initial occurrence of plantar fasciitis. The purpose of this study is to find out the effects of the therapeutic sports massage(TSM) applied to the patients with plantar fasciitis by measuring, assessing and analyzing the changes in intensity and unpleasantness of muscle pains before and after TSM. In the therapeutic sports massage program, such methods as effleurage, petrissage and deep transverse friction were selected as traditional massage treatments frequently used for muscles with pain and spasticity. After TSM, the McGill pain questionnaire word list(MPQWL), verbal rating scale(VRS), visual analogue scale(VAS) were used to measure the degree of the pain on the patients. The major findings from this study are as follows; 1. There was significant decrease in the numerical values of VAS, VRS and MPQWL after TSM(p<.05). 2. There was significant decrease in the intensity and unpleasantness of pains after TSM(p<.05). 3. From the analysis into chronological changes in the intensity and unpleasantness of pains before and after TSM with ANOVA, it became evident that the longer the period of treatment was, the higher the pains decreases drastically, while significant difference was shown in the intensity and unpleasantness of pains(p<.05). Summed up, it can be generally concluded that TSM is an effective treatment to rid the patients with plantar fasciitis of pains safely and promptly.

SGML과 HTML에 의한 문헌 구조화 비교 연구 : 정보 서비스 모델 중심으로

도서관 내의 문헌의 증가에 따라 인쇄매체의 문헌을 디지털화 하는 작업이 이루어지고 있으며, 디지털화 된 문헌에 대한 정보 서비스 시스템이 구축되고 있다. SGML은 문헌 구조화을 위한 언어로서 문헌기술을 위한 명세인 DTD를 통해 문헌 처리가 수행되며, DTD는 문헌의 논리적 구조의 독립성 유지에 효과적으로 활용될 수 있다. 본 논문은 디지털 도서관 구축에서 사용되고 있는 비구조화 및 시연 중심의 텍스트처리 방법의 해결 방법으로 SGML을 기반으로한 문헌 구조화 및 구성된 문헌의 검색 및 접근을 위한 모델을 제시한다. The printted materials are converting into digital documents on the basis of the structure of documents, as being increasing in a library. And an information service system is building to provide those converted documents. SGML, a meta language, is designed to process documents by DTD that is a specification for representing documents and is used for keeping a logical structure of documents. This paper presents an information service model for searching and accessing structured documents based on SGML as a solution for unstructured text processing.

삼출성 중이염 환자에서의 혈중 및 아데노이드 면역글로불린 E의 면역혈청학적 연구

Otitis media with effusion (OME) is one of the most common disease in children but its pathogenesis is not clear. In particular the role of allergy has revealed conflicting support with widely varing opinions as to its importance. Within recent years, striking biochemical and immunochemical analytic techniques have opened a new approach the study of otitis media with effusion. So we focused on distributions of IgE in adenoid tissue and serum IgE levels. Authors compared the serum IgE and the distribution of IgE in adenoid tissue between the 20 patients underwent tonsillectomy, adenoidectomy and ventilating tube insertion and control group of 11 patients underwent tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy. The results were as follows; 1. In the distribution of IgE in adenoid tissue, there was a significant increase in the group of patients with OME compared to the control group (P<0.01). 2. In the analysis of serum IgE levels, the levels of IgE in the OME patients an control group were higher than normal level, although the level of IgE in the OME patients were less than that of control group, there was no significance P>0.05).

PC U형의 단면을 사용한 포스트텐션된 넓은 보-기둥 내부접합부의 비탄성 거동

Post-tensioned precast concrete system(PPS) consists of U-shaped precast wide beams and concrete columns. The continuity of beam-column joint is provided with the topping concrete on the PC shell beam and post-tensioning. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate the response of PPS interior beam-column joint subjected to cyclic lateral loading. To this end, the experimental investigation was performed with three half-scale specimens of interior connection. The design parameter is the ratio of beam width to column width. Test results showed that cracks were distributed well and plastic hinges spread toward midspan without any significant degradation of strength and ductility. And the specimens sufficiently resisted up to the limiting drift ratio of 0.035 given by ACI of acceptance criteria for concrete special moment frames.

The Objective of this study was to find the activity that the actual condition of Sport For All programs run at Central Figure Social Welfare Organs in K province and provide the basic material for activation of Sport For All programs. Subjects of study were selected from the people who participated in Sport For All programs run six at Central Figure Social Welfare Organs located in K province : male : 73, female : 146, total : 219. Results of this study as following; 1) It was participating motive on Sport For All of Central Figure Social Welfare Organs, and to maintain their health, serve as diversion, get rid of stress, and maintain personnel relations and society. 2) The degree of satisfaction on these programs was low, because of facilities and contents of programs. 3) Over 50% participants came 4 times in one week and participation ratio of male to female is higher than in verse. 4) Participants in these programs mainly came with their friends or alone and over 50% of the participants were influenced by their own motive and the others enhanced by public administrations and sport leader were rare. 5) When they participated in program of Sport For All of Central Figure Social Welfare Organs, the degree of satisfaction for facilities was low and favorite events were archery, gate ball, gymnastics and jogging etc. 6) They showed deep interest in the necessity of the sport leader.

This study is intended to increase consumers' preference for domestic cosmetics shrunk by explosive inflow of foreign cosmetics and devise strategies and ways to make domestic cosmetics have discriminatory competitiveness which is different from foreign cosmetics. First, appropriate marketing strategies are developed aiming at consumer target clearly. Second, HERA makes its differentiated image of brand from those of other brands. Third, HERA develops strategy of focusing on improving product quality- Fourth, unified brand image is delivered even in the way of marketing mix. Fifth, consumers' need are detected in advance and are reflected in products swiftly. Sixth, strong leadership of brand manager and CEO's managemental method for acquiring brand power provide successful conditions with HERA. Considering these things, target consumers should be clearly set in developing product and marketing programs for successful outcomes. It can be thought that central operating body of design management needs to grasp needs of target consumers exactly, improve competitive brand images in accordance with properties of target consumers, and develop prudent strategies about products, price, distribution and promotion. Successful design management can be accomplished by developing resolute and constituent managemental policies.
