The mechanical properties and electrical conductivity of spun carbon fiber/phenolic composites were tested and evaluated. The tensile and flexural strengths of carbon/phenolic composite specimens were 16.8 ksi and 25.0 ksi, respectively. The electrical conductivities of carbon/phenolic specimens were generally similar in the all range of test temperatre. The lowest electrical conductivity was observed at 150℃, which is originated from the morphology change due to the glass transition of cured phenolic matrix. The activation energy on the conductivity at the temperature range of 150∼190℃ was 0.196 eV.

파노라마 X선 사진을 이용한 무치악 환자의 방사선학적 연구

The author has examined the abnormalities in panoramic radiographs of 668 edentulous patients. The distribution, type, incidence, and location of all abnomalities were analized, and the distances between alveoar crest and anatomical structures were measures. (Maxillary measurements were performed between alveloar crest and lower margin of the maxillary sinus and mandibular measurements between alveolar crest and upper edge of the mental foramen). The obtained results were as follows ; 1. Of the 668 panoramic radiographs examined, 103(15.4%) showed one or more abnormalities. 2. The incidence of abnormalities was decreased by years, which was 22.0% in 1970's and 16.8% in 1980's and 12.1% in 1990's. 3. The distribution of abnormalities as follows ; 43(40.2%) superficial root fragments, 24(22.4%) impacted teeth, 9(8.4%) imbedded root fragments, 7(6.5%) cysts, 7(6.5%) fractures, 5(4.7%) foreign bodies, 5(4.7%) abnormal radiolucencies, 4(3.7%) abnormal radiopacities, 2(1.9%) bony defects, 1(0.9) tumor. 4. In the location of abnormalities, 42 cases(35.3%) were in the maxillary posterior region, 26 cases(21.8%) were in the maxillary anterior region, 20 cases(24.4%) were in the mandibular posterior region and 18 cases(15.1%) were in the mandibular anterior region. 5. In the distance between alveolar crest and maxillary sinus, 109 cases(9.7%) were below 0.5mm, 757 cases(67.6%) were between 0.5mm and 10mm, 254 cases(22.7%) were above 100mm. In the distance between alveolar crest and mental foramen, 73 cases(8.8%) were below 0.5mm, 501 cases(60.7%) were between 0.5mm and 10mm and 252 cases(30.5) were above 100mm.

Body temperature is controlled by thermoregulatory center of the hypothalamus. We report a case of 24 years old man with central fever. He was subjected to a partial excision of pituitary tumor compressing optic chiasm four years ago. He has received hormonal therapy for panhypothyroidism after removal of pituitary tumor. And He received gamma knife operation for partially contrast-enhancing masses in suprasellar and both hypothalamic areas that is probably postoperatively remnant or recurrent tumor of pituitary adenoma. One year after gamma knife operation, he presented with a febrile syndrome of unknown origin including rhabdomyolysis. All usual investigations proved negative. We diagnosed him as central fever with rhabdomyolysis. He received medical ICU care with cooling bed, ice pack. And his symptom improved. Postoperative hyperthermia may result following resection of the pituitary tumor. When central fever is suspected taking note of past history, a quick recognition of course of fever can help reduce the using of unnecessary antibiotics and hospital stay.

The tasks of today's human society are 1) to preserve nature, 2) to create the sound social climate, 3) to construct human rehabitation and 4) to materialize the world peace with the human family spirit. The Bright Society Movement, acting up to such historical needs, is extending worldwidely. Following are the necessities of the times; 1) the population increase, the excessive urbanization and industrialization cause pollution to break the things of nature and to further intimidate human life. For that reason, the world-wide movement is urgently needed to protect the nature and revive her functions. 2) Materials are the necessary condition for man's life; nevertheless, the tendency spreads around the world to value more seriously materials than man. Machines and tools must be utilized for only man's convenience. It is our present mission to enhance human value and construct a society which is good to live. 3) As for human relationship, humanity and familiarity among neighbors grow more sterile. Recovering humanity in our society, we'll have to lead an intimate life with out neighbors as if a family, and all human beings ought to keep good relations one another under the awareness that we are all brothers. Since the world is becoming a global community, people in this community can not help co-operating one another. 4) The gradual increase of the number of modern people who take the passive and negative attitude in life, and antagonism between individuals, groups, races, and nations which most frequently results in war; these phenomena are typical of modern society. We should make every effort to induce people to take an active, positive attitude and cast away such antagonism. 5) Individualism and egoism for common prosperity. The solution is to place great emphasis collaboration and the basis for modern society are the main factors to destroy the social collaboration and the basis for common prosperity. The solution is to place great emphasis upon human education so as to make the habit of servicespirit. The Bright Society Movement, in accordance with these historical and social demands, takes as its motto Good will, Cooperation and Service―Contribution. 1. Good Will The spirit of Good Will is not only the native love made between friendly persons but the mental basis for human life. First, filial piety is the most important in the life of Good Will. Only a man, who is dutiful to his parents, can be a leader and do his best for society. Second, Good Will is beautiful love between husband and wife. For it is next to impossible without beautiful love to become the most intimate couple from two strangers. Third, Good Will is the love between parents and children. It is true love without any condition. Forth, Good Will is spirit of keeping friendly contact with neighbors. Such spirit is to help mutually, feel grateful, and live loving neighbors as if relatives. 2. Cooperation Cooperation is an essential principle to form human society. All beings in the universe keep inter-relation through the organic cooperative system with their environments. Man can yield greater results by mean of cooperation. A family can be happy when they collaborate one another; every member of a society is able to achieve their aims through their mutual cooperation. The Bright Society Club can construct human cooperative society as well, when it is possible to create the systematic cooperative relationship between unit clubs, federations, regional centres, national centres, and international centre. 3. Service-Contribution Service is man's natural behavior to contribute himself and the development of human beings. Everything with me is what is obtained from others, not what I produce by myself. Service means to reward everyone for what I have received. The society which consists of those who are willing to service each other; only that society can provide for proper opportunity to be compensated. Fruitful life does not lie in good health and materials. Really valuable Life is with helping others. Life, filled with Good Will, Cooperation, and Service-Contribution, must grow into a habit of everyman so as to be a guiding principle in his life. Now, the basic directions of unit club for the Bright Society Movement are as follows; 1. Leading role of unit clubs; Centering around unit clubs, Bright Society Movement is expanded. 2. Systematic relations of club structure; each unit club keeps organic relationship mutually. 3. Regional and functional unit clubs; unit clubs are formed on the basis of pecularities of regions or functions. When all human beings understand the historical and social missions and participate in the Bright Society Movement positively, we'll be able to creat earlier human cooperative society which is good to live.

기능적 악정형 장치를 이용한 기능성 전치부 반대교협의 치료효과

기능적 악정형 장치에 의한 가능성 전치부 반대교합의 치료효과를 평가하기 위하여 기능성 전치부 반대교합으로 진단된 환자들 중 Activator를 이용하여 치료하였던 35명과 FR-Ⅲ를 이용하여 치료하였던 17명의 치료전후 측모두부방사선 규격사진상에 계측항목을 설정하고 각 항목들의 변화량을 반대교합의 치료를 연기하고 관찰한 대조군의 성장량과 비교, 분석하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. ·두 치료군 모두 상악골의 전방 성장은 관찰되지 않았다. ·두 치료군 모두 하악골의 후하방 회전이동을 나타내었으며 그 회전량에 있어 Activator군이 다소 많은 경향을 보였다. ·두 치료군 모두 전방안면고는 다소 증가하였으나 유의성은 없었으며(p>0.05), 후방안면고는 대조군에 비해 상대적으로 증가가 미약하였다.(p<0.05). ·전, 후방안면고의 수직적 비율은 대조군에서 일정하게 유지되는데 비해 두 치료군은 감소되었다.(Ar-Go/ANS-Me : p<0.01, S-Go/N-ME : p<0.05). ·Activator군은 상악 전치의 순측 경사(p<0.01) 및 하악 전치의 설측 경사(p<0.05)에 있어 현저한 증가를 보였고, FR-Ⅲ군은 대조군에 비해 유의한 차이가 없었다.(p>0.05). ·두 치료군 모두 overjet이 증가하였고(p<0.01), overbite는 다소 감소하였으나 유의성은 없었다.(p>0.05). This study investigated the treatment effects produced by two types of functional orthopedic appliance, one primarily tooth-borne(Activator) and one primarily tissue-borne(FR-Ⅲ of Frankel). The pre- and post-treatment lateral skull radiographs from 35 patients who had been treated with the Activator and from 17 patients who had been treated with the FR-Ⅲ were compared with 15 untreated persons with functional anterior crossbite. The findings in this investigation were as follows : ·Insignificant maxillary changes were noted in both treatment groups. ·The mandible was rotated backward and downward in both treatment groups, but the distance of the Activator group was greater than that of the FR-Ⅲ group. ·The increase in the anterior facial height was found to be insignificant and the increment of the posterior facial height had a stagnant tendency in both treatment groups. ·Control group had a strong tendency to maintain the ratio of anteroposterior facial height through observed period. In contrast, the ratio of anteroposterior facial height was decreased in both treatment groups. ·The Activator group had a greater treatment effect in upper incisor proclination and lower incisor retroclination than did the FR-Ⅲ group. ·The negative overjet that was present at the beginning of the treatment has been converted into a positive overjet but the reduction in overbite was found to be insignificant in both treatment groups.

본 논문에서는 웹 광고에서 웹사이트를 방문하려는 고객과 서버(예를 들어, 웹사이트 발행자들)간에 상호작용을 측정하기 위한 안전하고도 효율적인 측정 방법들에 관해 살펴보고자 한다. 대개의 웹 광고는 많은 고객들과 서버들 그리고 서버들에 의해 제공된 고객들의 수 에 관한 정보를 수집하는 감사 기관의 상호작용으로 이루어진다. 이때, 대부분의 서버들은 실제 제공되는 것보다는 훨씬 많은 수의 방문 정보를 감사기관에게 제시함으로서 보다 많은 광고 수익을 얻고자 한다. 이에 본 논문에서는 과장된 서버로부터의 방문기록을 막는 암호학적으로 안전한 몇 가지 측정 방법들을 소개하고자 한다. 아울러 이들 측정 방법들은 전반적인 통신 트래픽 이라든가 다른 부수적인 오버헤드가 부가되지 않을 만큼 효율적이어야 할 것이다. In this paper we study on secure and efficient metering schemes to measure the interaction between clients and servers(e.g. the web site publishers) on the web advertisements. In a representative scenario there are many clients and servers, and an audit agency should collect information about the number of clients that were served by each server. A typical server is motivated to claim that it served many more clients than it has actually served. We introduce some metering schemes which are cryptographically secure and prevent servers from inflating the count of their visits. At the same time the metering schemes should be efficient and do not add a considerable overhead to the different parties and to the overall communication traffic.

The thermal stability of curdlan suspension was investigated. Also curdlan gel containing hydrophobic materials (DHA(Docosa hexaenoic acid), olive oil and Dong-chunghacho (Militaris)) were prepared. Curdlan suspension prepared under 40℃ and 15000rpm was stable for 1 hour. Curdlan gel, including hydrophobic material were dried at 30℃ and swollen in the water. Curdlan gel including Dongchunghacho absorbed water of 980%.
