<P>The new pyrano-pyrone, (+)-8-epi-9-deoxygoniopypyrone (1) and (+)-9-deoxygoniopypyrone (2) were isolated from a chloroform extract of <I>Goniothalamus tamirensis</I> leaves. Their absolute stereostructures were discussed and confirmed by using infrared (IR), Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry (FT-ICR-MS), one (1D) and two-dimensional (2D) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectra, Mosher's method, and comparison with the known compounds leiocapin A (3), deoxygoniopypyrone A (4), and (−)-8-epi-9-deoxygoniopypyrone (5). At concentrations of 2.67 μ<SMALL>M</SMALL>, compounds 1 and 2 significantly increased the growth of osteoblastic MC3T3-E1 cells and caused a significant elevation of collagen content, alkaline phosphatase activity, and nodule mineralization in the cells (<I>p</I><0.05). Our data suggest that the enhancement of osteoblast function by 1 and 2 may result in the prevention of osteoporosis.</P>

The direct injection natural gas fueled engine with lean combustion and high power is well known as the new generation of lean combustion system. Nowadays, the emission standards and fuel consumption are tighter than so the new generation is must be more expended lean limit. It is mean that the new generated engine will be operated with ultra lean mixture stably. Authors are used some methods to expand lean limit as follow: The rate of auxiliary intake fuel injection as a method to enhance the mixing duration, the lean limit is obtained λ = 1.53 but power is reduced rapidly. By the way the increased intake air is enhanced lean limit, it is due to supply energy and combustion rate are increased, although combustion temperature is decreased and power still increase. By the way the auxiliary intake fuel injection plus increase of intake air mass will be extended lean limit. This method may be achieved more ultra lean burn without low power and thermal efficiency. Until now, these results are not cleared. In this study as early step in using the ultra lean mixtures so that the analysis data is focused on lean limit and engine performance. The experimental results show that increased boost pressure at 1.3 bar will be extended lean burn region to λ = 1.49 and high power.

Two new indirubin-3'-oxime derivatives, indirubin-3'-[O-(3-bromoprop-1-yl)-oxime] (2) and indirubin-3'-[O-(methoxycarbonylmethyl)-oxime] (3) were synthesized. Their structures were confirmed by ESI-MS and NMR spectroscopic method. Both of them (5 ${\mu}g/mL$) significantly caused a elevation of cell growth, alkaline phosphate activity, and mineralization in osteoblastic MC3T3-E1 cells(p<0.05).

A series of N-substituted-1,2,3-triazole murrayafolineAderivativeswere successfully synthesized usingclick azide–alkyne Huisgen cycloaddition reaction between1-methoxy-3-methyl-9-(3-azido)-propyl-9H-carbazole andsubstituted alkynes. Their chemical structures were confirmedby 1H, 13C NMR and HR-ESI–MS spectral data. Inaddition, the interested effects on LPS-stimulated productionof pro-inflammatory cytokines in bone marrow-deriveddendritic cells of synthetic murrayafoline A derivatives werealso investigated. Our results indicated that murrayafoline Aderivatives containing 1,2,3-triazole nucleus potentiallypossessed anti-inflammatory action through inhibiting productionof IL-6, IL-12 p40 and TNF-a.
