        This experiment was conducted with three varieties (Hicks, Burley 21, Sohyang) to analyze growth kinetics by means of growth function involving its inflection points of various phases of growth curve in total dry accumulation. The baric growth data were obtained by harvest method at interval of ten days from transplanting to hundred days and analyzed by differential, regression equation, and three model s of growth phases. Three growth phases were classified by two inflection points of growth acceleration and composed of logarithmic growth phase, linear growth phase, and asymptotic growth phase.

      • 한국에서 관측된 산성강수와 대륙적인 중국의 대기오염 이동

        1990년부터 청원(KHN)의 농촌기역에서 산성강우가 관측되었다. 청원의 10년 관측과 함께 다른 6개의 배경 관측소에서도 강우가 채집 및 분석되었다. 산성비는 전 관측에서 자주 발생되었다. KHN 에서는 다른 10년의 강수량 가중평균 VWM 값이 4.67이고 산술평균 값은 5.09이다. 일반적으로, 봄 철 황사가 발생될 때 pH 값이 높았으며, 여름철에는 비교적 중성 값을 보였다. 다른 계절에는 산성 강수가 대개 기류와 관련되었으며, 중국의 중부와 남부지방에서 오는 기류와 저기압은 한반도에서 낮은 pH 값을 발생시켰다. 1996년부터 인공위성을 이용 동아시아 대기오염의 장거리 이동을 모니터링하고 있으며, 황해를 지나 한반도에 이동되는 대기오염의 장거리 이동 사례를 많이 수집하였다. 한국의 산성비는 중국의 발원지로부터 공기의 지나온 분석, 산성 안개와 박무도 논의 되었다. Acid rain at a rural site in Chongwon(KHN), central Korea has been under observation since 1990. To substantiate the 10-year observations, rain samples from six other sites were also collected and analyzed. Results show that acid rain occurred frequently at all sites, At KHN, seasonal and annual variability of pH values had a 10-year VWM value of 4.67 and an arithmetic mean value of 5.09, In general, a high value of pH occurred during springtime when the occurrence of yellow sand (dust) was prevalent in East Asia; during summer, heavy rain usually contained neutral pH values. During other seasons, the degree of acidic precipitation usually coincided with certain air flows. Most frequently, air flows and cyclones coming from south and central China often resulted in precipitation with low pH values observed in Korea. Using daily satellite observations from 1996, we have also been monitoring the large-scale transport of air pollutants over East Asia. Many samples of long-range transport of air pollutants (LRTAP) were obtained when they were crossing the Yellow Sea and moving over the Korean Peninsula. Cases of acid rain in Korea clearly correlate wth the LRTAP from source regions in China. In this study, results of air-parcel trajectory, plus acid fog and mist analysis are discussed.

      • 線形計劃法을 移用한 確率的 運轉模型

        In applying linear programming to the production cost for generation planning, the probabilistic features of random loads and random generations cannnot normally be treated. So, in the conventional methods, some simplifications or ommittances are usually made. This paper proposes a new and effieient approach to the "probabilistic" production cost by the stadard linear programming package. The random loads and the random generations are discretized so that the production costs can be in linear form with linear constraints, and the convolution of load and generation is performed. The convolution itself is also a very time-consuming process, but an efficient method is suggeted in the paper. The proposal method is tested in a real scale power system and the various results are compared. From this demonstrations, it is concluded that the proposed method is a powerful tool for the probabilistic production costing and it is expected that the proposed method can further be extended for the generation planning.

      • 폐 섬유 보강 복합재의 제조와 마찰특성

        Fiber-reinforced composite materials are used in a wide variety of applications in the advanced field of industries such as electric clutch, motor, car, space and aviation etc. It is well known that the brake lining made of fiber-reinforced composites show excellent friction and wear properties compared to the conventional asbestos brakes and also are known to have high absorption energy and excellent high temperature properties in braking. In order to endow high friction and wear stability to the commercial brake lining, the waste fiber such as cotton, PAN, PET, nylon,kevlar, glass and it's binary mixture fibers were used the fiber reinforcements. The fiber/phenolic resin system has been carried out by preform molding method. The friction tester was especially designed and prepared for evaluation of frictional properties such as friction coefficient and stability. The physical properties of fiber reinforced composites were investigated in terms of the 3-point bending strength, the properties of friction, and morphology. The results obtained from the work are as follows ; 1. The friction properties of the cotton fiber reinforced composites were similar to those of the commercial brake linings, but in the cases of reinforcement of kevlar, glass. we can improve those properties, 2. The proper amount of organic and inorganic fiber mixtures can improve the properties of friction and the mechanical properties, 3. It is more desirable to manufacture hybrid fiber reinforced composites because single cotton or synthetic fiber reinforced composites aren't improved frictional properties, and 4. On evaluating frictional properties of waste fiber reinforced composites, frictional properties of waste fiber reinforced composites are superior to commercial disc lining. Therefore we can confirm practical possibility of waste fiber reinforced disc lining.

      • 잎담배 生産과 栽培環境과의 關係에 關한 解析的 硏究 : 第十二報 移植 및 被覆方法이 잎의 形質에 미치는 影響 VII. Influence of Planting and mulching Mathods on the Leaf Characteristics of Flue-cured Tobacco

        This experiment was conducted to study the effect of planting and mulching methods on the some characteristics of the flue-cured tobacco leaf. The results obtained are summerized as fellows. 1.Plant type was changed according to planting time and mulching methods. As the plant type of early plating and mulching plot was changed to conical shape, so the light condition received of the plot was improved. 2.As the weight of unit leaf area and percentage of dry matter were high and dried up leaf ratio, leaf area contraction ratio and proportion of midrib were low in earley setting plot, so the leaf quality was good. But weight of a leaf and LAI were small. 3.In the view of leaf quality among the diffent leaf position, the lower and middle leaves of the non-temporary planting plot were especially good. 4.To increase the yield and to improve the leaf quality, it seems desirable to improve the leaf quality by early setting and to increase LAI by increasing the number of leaves.

        TFSCAN 검색 프로그램 TFSCAN의 개발

        TFD는 기능이 알려진 짧은 DNA sequence(signal)들과 그와 연관된 저널 자료로 구성된 데이타베이스이다. 임의의 DNA에서 이 데이타베이스의 sequence들을 검색하여 signal을 찾는 프로그램으로 Dan S. Prestridge가 개발한 SIGNAL SCAN이라는 프로그램이 사용되고 있는데, 이는 간단한 문자열 비교 알고리즘을 사용한다. 본 연구에서는 계산상 보다 효율적인 검색을 위해서, TFD의 sequence를 검색하기 위한 automata를 구성하는 프로그램과, 이 automata에 따라 signal을 검색하도록 하는 TFSCAN이라는 프로그램을 개발하였다. 검색된 signal에 대한 관련 문헌의 검색에서도 인덱싱 방법을 이용하여 계산 속도를 향상시켰다. 프로그램의 사용을 단순화시켰고, 결과 내용을 signal과 관련된 모든 정보를 일목요연하게 보여줄 수 있도록 구성하였다. 이 프로그램을 Web을 통해서도 사용할 수 있도록, GINet Web 서버에 TFSCAN 입력용 form과 CGI 프로그램을 개발·설치하였다. 본 연구의 특정 Motif 패턴으로 구성된 데이타베이스 검색에서, automata를 응용한 알고리즘을 이용하여 계산상 급격히 향상된 결과를 얻을 수 있음을 알 수 있었는데, 이는 생물학의 여러 패턴 검색에 응용될 수 있을 것이다. 더욱 민감한(sensitive) signal 검색을 위해서, 이와 같이 automata를 활용하고, 이 automata를 최적화하는 알고리즘 연구를 계속하고 있다. TFD is a transcription factor database which consists of short functional DNA sequences called as signals and their references. SIGNAL SCAN, developed by Dan S. Prestridge, is used to determine what signals of TFD may exist in a DNA sequence. This program searches TFD database by using a simple algorithm for character string comparison. We developed TFSCAN that aims at searching for signals in an input DNA sequence more efficently than SIGNAL SCAN. Our algorithms consist of two parts, one constructs an automata by scanning sequences of TFD, the other searches for signals through this automata. Searching for signal-related references is radically improved in time by using an indexing method. Usage of TFSCAN is very simple and its output is obvious. We developed and installed a TFSCAN input form and a CGI program in GINet Web server, to use TFSCAN. The algorithm applying automata showed drastical results in improvement of computing time. This approach may apply to recognizing several biological patterns. We have been developing our algorithm to optimize the automata and to search more sensitively for signals.

        In the literatual study on Holotrichia, the results were obtained as follows ; 1. Holotrichia is larva of Holotrichia diomphalia Bates etc. powder or liquor of Holotrichia is used medically. 2. Appearance of Holotrichia is shape of kidney, yellowish color. 3. The oriental characters of Holotrichia is warm, toxicant, salty. 4. The significant efficancy of Holotrichia is breaking the stagnant blood. 5. Holotrichia can be applied to the diseases related to thrombosis, and recover the demage of liver. 6. Holotrichia avails Liver diseases such as Hepatitis, Liver cirrhosis, Hepatosplenomegaly, Hepatoma etc.

      • 野山을 利用한 葡萄園 造成 및 栽培에 關한 硏究

        The authors studied on the problems concerning to the establishment of vineyard at 25% slopped land with 50㎝ in soil depth. We investigated on the effects of manure, mulching, physiological disorder and personal expenditures for establishment of the vineyard. The results obtained can be summarized as follows; About thirty person per 10a were required for establishment of planting step. Growth of the vine was not different 50-100㎝ of soil depth from over 100㎝ of soil depth. About 30% of selected vine trees showed boron deficiency on the young leaves and flower cluster during early June and that 70% of the vine trees showed blackish berry caused by boron deficiency during early July. The vine mulched with straw, depth of 7㎝ and 15㎝, showed significantly larger shoot growth than that of control. 15kgr. of manure application per tree showed significant difference in growth than 5kgr.of manure, 5kgr. of hen maunre and control polt.
