      • 종피파상(種皮破傷)과 처리(處理)가 Egremont russet 사과의 종자(種子) 발아(發芽), 묘(苗)의 생장(生長) 및 생리적(生理的) 왜화(矮化)에 미치는 영향

        Egremont russet 사과 품종(品種)의 종자에 여러가지 종피(種皮) 파상(破傷)을 한 후 발아(發芽), 유아(幼芽), 유근(幼根)의 생장(生長)과 생리적(生理的)인 왜화(矮花)에 대(對)하여 조사한 결과 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 자엽(子葉)의 크기를 1/2로 절단하고 종피(種皮)를 제거(除去)한 Egremont russet 사과 품종(品種)의 종자(種子)에 를 처리한 것은 평균발아율(平均發芽率)이 55%였으며 동일조건(同一條件)에서 대조구(對照區)는 45%였다. 그리고 종피(種皮)가 완전(完全)한 것과 종피파상(種皮破傷)을 한 구(區)에서는 낮았다. 유아장(幼芽長)은 종피(種皮)를 완전히 남긴 것과 파상(破傷)한 구(區)에 를 처리하였을 때 촉진(促進)되었으나 전체적(全體的)으로 볼 때 종피(種皮)를 제거(除去)한 구(區)에서 더 길었다. 그러나 유근장(幼根長)은 처리에 의(依)해서 억제(抑制)되었으나 유근(幼根)의 직경(直徑)은 더 커졌다. 그리고 생리적(生理的)인 왜화(矮花)는 종피(種皮)를 남긴 구(區)에서 발생(發生)되었으며 처리에 의(依)해 극복되지 않았다. 자엽(子葉)의 녹색화(綠色化) 속도는 종피(種皮)를 제거(除去)하고 자엽(子葉)의 크기를 1/2로 절단한 구(區)에서 촉진(促進)되었다.

      • 사과 Golden delicious 品種의 동녹 發生에 關하여

        The authors studied on the reasons of russeting development of Golden delicious apple growing at attached orchard in Kyungpook national university in 1979. Calyx cavity, cheek and stalk cavity were investigated to know the development of russeting on the fruit surface of Golden delicious and also investigated according to four directions on the tree. The results are as follows. Calyx cavity was more russeted by 90.3% than cheek and stalk cavity portion of Golden delicious fruit. Most of the fruits among 30 fruits were russeted in calyx cavity portion while non-russeted fruit can be found from cheek and stalk cavity plot of the experiments. The type of russeting in most of observed Golden delicious apples were not band type but patch type, Development of fruit russeting was the most severe on the southern and western part of the tree than northern part because of longer light hours per a day.

      • 복숭아 種子의 子葉크기가 發牙에 미치는 영향

        Cotyledons of peach seed were removed according to the various sizes to know the germeability; Intact seed(A), 1/3 removed(B), 1/2 removed(C) and 2/3 removed(D). Germeability was invertigated on the seeds operated as above mentioned methods with GA3 treatment. Length of epicotyl, primary root and number of rootlets formed were also measured and compared GA3 treatment with control. The results obtained were as follows. 1. Germeability of peach seed was 80% at the cotyledons removed plots, specially smaller cotyledons showed higher germeability while control plot of the intact seed was higher in germeability than GA3 treatment. 2. In days of germination, peak germination was earlier at the smaller cotyledons plots than larger ones and intact seed. Germination percentage of D plot was 80% after 2 days have passed and almost 100% after 5 days, while germination percentage of A plot was about 30% though 5 days have passed after experiment. 3. In early development of the seedling, length of epicotyl was longer when remained smaller cotyledons with GA3 treatment, while longer primary root was formed in control. In general, number of rootlets was more numerous in control than GA3 treatment.

      • 농촌소득증대를 위한 열대과수의 특성과 현황

        In order to know the characteristics and current cultivation situation of horticultural crops, specially fruit crop in Thailand, Java island of Indonesia Kenya, Costa Rica, Ponape island of Micronesia and Hawaii of United States of America are discussed based on review of literatures and statistics collected. 1. In Thailand, fruit and vegetables shared 8.9 and 4.4%, respectively, of the total agricultural product in value in 1976. The largest fruit crop in production was coconut and the most rapidly increasing one was pineapple. 2. In Java island of Indonesia, fruit trees, vegetables, and ornamentals occupy 10.2, 7.6 and 33.4% respectively, of the total 607 species of plants found in home gardens. In 1981, the largest crop in production was coconut and the most rapidly increasing one was citrus. Pineapple, papaya, banana and citrus are grown in both home garden and plantations. Coconut, durian, mangosteen and rambutan are grown only in home gardens.. Salak is grown in plantations. Fruit crops grown in home gardens are difficult to care and selection of dwarf stock is desirable. There are non-seasonal and seasonal fruits. Flowering physiology should be studied to stabilize the production of seasonal fruit. 3. In Kenya, about 17 fruit crops, 23 vegetables and 19 cut flowers and ornamentals are cultivated. Pineapple among fruit crops and tomatoes among vegetables are rising in kenya. Pineapple and cut flowers are rising as export crops. 4. In Costa Rica, banana is the biggest crop in planted area. Pineapple and tomto are rapidly rising. Banana and pineapple are produced in large scale farms and farms middle class. Coconut, citrus, avocado and papaya are cultivated in the farms of middle class. Especially in banana, technical level of cultivation was variable depending on the geographical region and size of farms, and generally high in large farms. 5. On the Ponape island of micronesia, eleven species of citrus and 2 species of Fortunella are grown. Oranges are growing widely from the fallen seeds and in mixture with other fruits. No cultivation cares are applied. However, there is a possibility that transition from home garden style to commercial cultivation may occur as diets and living standard are improved. 6. In Hawaii U.S.A., fruit, vegetables and flowers plus ornamentals share 18, 3 and 4% of total agricultural production in value, respectively. Especially, pineapple, macademia nuts, anthurium, carnation and orchids are important horticultural crops for export.

      • 열대 원예작물의 특성과 재배법에 관한 조사

        This investigation was conducted to know the characteristics and cultivation method of some tropical crops; fruit tree, vegetable and ornamental flowers growing in Tropical regions by literatures. 1) Most of fruits were utilized as raw-fruit itself and processing techniques are needed for the merchandise. Some fruit is lack of cultivation method. Pine apple and banana are the most common fruit in these regions. These fruit products can be exported to the temperate zone regions for the net-income of the farmers. 2) Vegetables are cultivated for the part of vitamin supply and on the whole, cultivation method is underdeveloped yet. But some vegetables are grown for the industrial oil, medicine manufacture, feed forage and green manure. 3) Ornamental flowers are grown for the cutflower and garden flower. From these results, It is believed that introduction and adaptability test must be conducted for the increased net-income of Korean farmers.

        감나무에 寄生하는 Cnidocampa flavescens WALKER 의 生態에 關한 硏究

        본문은 1964-'65년에 걸쳐 한국의 남부지방 특히 대구지방에서 많이 재배되고 있는 감나무에 수년전부터 심한 피해를 주고 있는 Oriental moth의 생태학적인 사항에 관한 연구의 결과를 수록하였다. (1) Oriental moth의 우화 최성기는 대구지방에서 6월중순경이다. 그리고 산란은 전부 엽이면에 하며 엽상에서도 엽선단부에 대부분 란이 산란되었다. (2) 란기간은 1964년의 평균이 일이었고 1965년은 로서 양년 모두 약 6일간이었다. 그리고 실내 사육실에서 부화율은 1964년이 였고 1965년이 었다. (3) 기주식물별 생장률에 있어서 체장생장은 4기주, 감나무, 고욤나무. 네군도단풍. 플라타너스에서 1령충에서 3령충까지는 고욤나무, 감나무, 플라타너스, 네군도단풍의 순위었으나 4령충 부터는 반대로 감나무, 고욤나무, 네군도단풍과 플라타너스의 순위였다. 두폭의 생장률도 동일한 경향을 나타내었다. 그리고 플라타너스엽을 식이로 한 개체들은 사육 20일 경과 후 전부 사멸하였다. (4) 본충은 1년에 1회 발생하며 탈피회수는 6회이다. 1회탈피는 부화 후 약 5시간 후에 일어나고 2-6회 탈피는 각각 약 7일 간격으로 일어났다. 그리고 최종탈피를 한 후 약 3일 후 Cocoon을 형성하여 월동한다. (5) 유충체상에 있는 침수가 위치별로, 각 령별로 차이가 있으므로 령의 판정이 가능하다. 특히 L2, D2, D3, D8, D10의 침과 Ll, L3, L4, L5, L6, L7의 침은 각 령별로 그 수가 다르므로 침으로 령의 판정이 가능하다. (6) Cocoon내에서 Pupation은 감나무 지상에서 월동을 한 후 이듬해 5월 중순부터 Pupa가 형성되어 우화기인 6월 초순까지 계속된다. (7) 자성충이 체내에 가지고 있는 난수는 평균 1필당 당 개였다 The author studied on the bionomics of Oriental moth. Cnidocampa flavescens WALKER, damaging to the persimmon tree n the southern part of Korea from 1964 to 1965. The results can be summarized as follows, 1. Emergence peak period of Oriental moth was mid-June in Taegu district and eggs are deposited on the opposite side of persimmon tree leaf. Specially most of eggs are deposited on the terminal part of opposite side and peak period s also mid-June. 2. Hatched Percentage of eggs was in 1964 while in 1965 at the rearing room. Mean egg Period was in 1964 while days in 1965. Thus during two years, the egg period was about 6 days. 3. In the growth ratio of Oriental moth fed on various host plants persimmon tree, Acer negund, Hazel-wood and Platanus, the best growth ratio was shown on the leaf of Hazel-wood from 1st till 3rd instar, but, on the contrary, persimmon tree was the best from 4th till the last instar. The growth ratio of head width was also the same tendency as the body length above mentioned. Individuals fed on the leaf of platanus were dead after 20 days. 4. Oriental moth has one generation a year and molts 6 times. The first molting occurred in 5 hours after hatched, and the other moltings were done at f days intervals. After 3 days since the last molting, larvae made the non for over-winter in it. 5. As the bristles on the process of larval body are different from each position and instar, judgement of instars are possible by the counting of bristles on the body according to the Table 8. Specially the bristle of L. 2., D. 2, 3 ,8. 10. and L. 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, are perfectly different from each instar. From these bristles, instars can be recognized easily. 6. Pupation of larvae in the over-wintered cocoon on the stem of persimmon tree was done in mid-May and continued will early June when emergence will take place. 7. Mean number of eggs in the ovary was
