In the recent development of internal combustion engine, considerable increase in speed and power has been accomplished. This achievement, however, brought up various problems due to the excessive piston temperature which becomes a crucial factor in engine durability. In this research, temperature distribution in a piston was investigated experimentally and theoretically with varied operation speed in unloaded condition. The method of temperature measuring is L-link system. The theoretical study was carried out by using the finite-element method. A three-dimensional model which simulates a half of piston has been utilized and the surface temperature measured by L-link. System has been used for the theoretical boundary conditions. The results obtained form the analysis of a piston of four-cycle gasoline engine are as follows; The piston temperature increases directly propotional to the engine speed on the thrust plane of piston crown, the temperature in the region closer to inlet valve is found to be higher than that closer to the exhaust valve, and the heating effect by exhaustion and the cooling effect by suction are shown on the iso-thermal line of crown surface. As the thickness of the crown section increased, the degree of symmetry of iso-thermal line about the center-line also increases. The internal and external temperatures of skirt are almost identical, and the temperature decreases away from fro pin-bos. In the case of pin-bos, the temperature of internal is higher than that of external at the lower part, and the temperature decreases along to the pin-perimeter.
교류 누설전류 및 가변과부하 전류 차단기의 게이트 제어 회로에 관한 연구

본 논문은 교류 누설전류 차단 기능과 가변과부하전류 차단기능을 갖는 게이트 제어회로를 고찰하였다. 교류100〔V〕에서 500〔μA〕의 누설전류가 발생하는 경우와 설정전류의 1.2배에서 과전류 발생시 교류반도체 차단기를 동작시키는 우수한 특성을 가진 게이트 제어 회로를 설계하였으며 실험결과 누설전류가 500〔μA〕이하에서도 차단이 가능한 것으로 나타났다. This paper describes the gate control circuit of AC leakage current and variable overload current breaker. There is a discussion on the gate control circuit design of AC semiconductor circuit breaker, when AC 100(V) 500(μA) leakage current and 1.2 setpoint current generation for make cutoff circuit. Experimental results less than 500(μA) leakage current possible cutoff of circuit.
반묘추출물이 생쥐 신장조직의 alkaline phosphatase 활성에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구

The effect of cantharides extracts on the alkaline phosphatase activity was examined in mice kidney. The experimental animals were injected with cantharides extracts by intraperitoneal injection with single dose of 0.04 mg. per Gm. bo4y weight. Alkaline phosphatase activity with histochemical stain by modified Gomori method were examined from 1 hr. to 32 days after injection. The following results were obtained; 1. Alkaline phosphatase activity seemed to have the tendency to be decreased from Mr. after injection and presented the lowest activity at 24 hrs. after injection. 2. The renal alkaline phosphatase activity has recovered from 48 hrs. and observed the same as control group at 8 days after injection. 3. The concentration of renal alkaline phosphatase was marked at the proximal convoluted tubules, especially brush border.
일산화탄소 중독이 흰쥐 간조직에 미치는 영향에 관한 조직화학적 연구 : RNA 및 DNA 변화에 대하여 Changes of RNA and DNA content

The present investigation was undertaken with the aim of studying the effect of carbon monoxide on the cytoplasmic RNA and nuclear DNA content of hepatic cells in rat. For this purpose, rat was poisoned to 0. 1%, 0.25 % and 0.5 % carbon monoxide for 15 minutes to 24 hours. The RNA and DNA content was determined by the histochemical method. The following results were obtained: 1. The decrement of RNA content was began at 8 hours after 0. 1 % carbon monoxide poisoning and was continued until 24 hours but DNA content changed at 24 hours. 2. In 0.25% carbon monoxide poisoning group, the decrease of RNA and DNA content was began at 2 hours after poisoning and was continued until 4 hours. 3. In 0.5% carbon monoxide poisoning group, the RNA content decreased at 30 minutes after poisoning but was continued 60 minutes. The decrement of DNA content was at 60 minutes.
부하 및 점화시기가 내연기관의 피스톤 온도분포에 미치는 영향

An experimental study was carried out concerning the effect of load and spark timming on the temperature distribution of pistion of I.C engine. The temperature distribution of piston was measured by L-link system method as following conditions; The revolution of engine operated from 1500 R.P.M to 3500 R.P.M with increasing the load, making a knocking each revolution and varied ignition time. The result of experiment was as follows; The piston temperature increase directly proportional to the engine speed and the load on the surface and the inner of piston crown, the temperature in the region of inlet valve is higher than that of exhaust valve. The temperature distribution at the surface of piston crown is not symmetrical type, but is the higher at the location of spark plug. The temperature of piston skirt decreases along to the downward.

A decision support system is introduced for the efficient operation of port container terminals. It consists of ship planning subsystem, yard planning subsystem, resource management subsystem, real-time control subsystem, and simulation subsystem. The system is intended to support the planning process of the planners and the operation process of the administrators in the container terminals. It is assumed that the transfer crances and the yard tractor/trailers are used to handle containers in the marshaling yard. The system is explained in terms of the functions of each subsystem and the data flows among various subsystems.

In order to use as a starter after drying, optimum growth conditions of Str. thermophilus and L. bulgaricus were investigated. The results were as follows. The growth of Str. thermophilus was reached at stationary phase after 12 hours incubation and L. bulgaricus was after 6 hours. Str. thermophilus was grown well, in the medium containing 10% of skim milk, 2%5 of sucrose, 0.1% of KCl and 0.015%(v./v.) of soy-sauce. In the case of L. bulgaricus, 10% of skim milk, 2% of glucose, 0.5% of bacto-peptone, 0.1% of K₂HPO₄ and 0.02% of pyridoxine was suitable for the maximum growth.
