        This paper investigates and compares operating characteristics of the main power conversion circuit and extension of safety operating zone etc in case of use switching device of voltage-fed type high frequency Inverter with self-turn-off device to a case of using nature-commutated type devices. In addition, this paper induced operating characteristics of the main power conversion circuit by examination to normalized parameter. This paper propose that a base data of the main power conversion circuit of characteristics evaluation for frequency characteristics, output characteristics and load characteristics etc.

        구강 악성 흑색종에서 PCNA 발현에 관한 면역조직화학적 연구

        Malignant melanoma arising from the mucosa of head and neck region was rare and showed poor prognosis. Some of malignant melanoma were transformed from benign melanotic lesion. Malignant melanoma had high cellular proliferation and rapid growth. The percentage of PCNA-positive cell (labeling index) is high in many malignant tumor. So we compared the pattern of PCNA expression in the melanotic lesion. We performed the immunohistochemical study in malignant melanoma(19 cases), benign melanotic macule(24 cases) and normal mucosa(20 cases) were diagnosed in Seoul National University Dental Hospital between 1980 and 2000. Positive PCNA staining was found mainly in malignant melanoma. The mean PCNA expression in malignant melanoma, melanotic macule, normal tissue were 29.2%, 1.4%, 0%, respectively. Significant differences in PCNA expression were noted between malignant melanoma and melanotic macule(p<0.01), normal mucosa(p<0.01). These result suggested that the PCNA expression seems to be used as a diagnostic indicator for malignancy in malignant melanoma and melanotic lesion.

      • 토양미생물을 이용한 하수의 질소제거효율 향상

        The effect of humus soil on biological denitrification was investigated through NUR batch tests. Specific denitrification rate of HMLE(Modified Ludzack Ettinger process combined with Humus soil contactor) and CMLE(Control Modified Ludzack Ettinger process) sludges as well as COD consumed for denitrification could be estimated from the batch tests. Two linear phases of denitrification rate could be observed when acetate was used as a carbon source. However, denitrification behavior was composed of three linear phases when a primary settled municipal wastewater(PW) was used as a carbon source. The specific denitrification rates on SBCOD(slowly biodegradable COD) fraction in raw wastewater were estimated 4.82 and 3.73 mg N/g VSS·hr when HMLE and CMLE sludge was used as a seed sludge. It means that the hydrolysis rate of HMLE sludge on SBCOD fraction was higher than that of CMLE sludge. Actinomycetes, one of the soil microorganisms, was estimated 150,000 actinomycetes/ml in the biomass of HMLE process, which was 10 times higher than that of CMLE process. Actinomycetes was well known for its distinguished hydrolyzing ability on particulate organic matter. Almost of input COD was utilized for denitrification and cell synthesis when HMLE sludge was used as a seed sludge in NUR batch test. While, about 70% of input COD was comsumed when CBNR sludge was used. It means that substrate utilization rate, especially SBCOD utilization rate, of HMLE sludge was higher than that of CMLE sludge.

      • Fusobacterium nucleatum의 유황화합물 생성에 영향을 미치는 인자

        Fusobacterium nucleatum, one of the bacteria causing halitosis, produces the volatile sulfur compounds (VSC) such as H2S in the media containing sulfur components, and forms FeS by binding with iron component. The various factors of oral cavity affect the concentration of sulfur compounds produced by Fusobacterium nucleatum. In this study, the effect of nutrients and pH on the production of sulfur compounds by Fusobacterium nucleatum was studied with the following results; 1. The optical density of broth was increased to 0.817±0.032 and 1.297±0.024 by adding 1.0% sodium thiosulfate and 0.05% L-cysteine hydrochloride in the media, respectively. 2. Though the optical density of broth was 0.799 ± 0.032 by adding volatile sulfur compounds (VSC) only in the media, it was increased to 1.775±0.003 and 1.648±0.022 by adding xylitol combined with glucose and fructose, respectively. 3. The concentration of VSC was above 20,000 ppb in the media above pH 5.5. The optical density of broth was still high in the media with L-cysteine hydrochloride of higher concentration, being low in the media of lower pH. 4. The concentration of VSC was high when there was distilled water or saline solution on the media, and their amount was small. These results suggest that the production of sulfur compounds by Fusobacterium nucleatum is inhibited by xylitol and acid.

        Selective hydrogenation of 1,3-butadiene in C4 raffinate was carried out in fixed bed reactor using Pd/a1unina catalysts, Concentration of 1,3-butadiene in C4 raffinate could be reduced under 100 ppm.The life of dimerization catalyst using C4 raffinate after selective hydrogenation was longer than that of dimerization catalyst without selective hydrogenation.It was found that dilution of olefin concentration in feed was effective to increase dimerization catalyst life.

        This paper describes the energy absorption of a square tube in the cases of two models under axial compression by using PAM-CRASHTM. The first model is the model with various thickness under contant length, and the second model is the model with various length under constant thickness. To verify the energy absorption and the effects of dimensions, the standards were used as related density and specific energy and mean crushing load. The results were discussed by the relationship between crush load vs. deformation, related density vs. specific energy, crush load vs. mean crush load, and the relationship between mean crush load vs. specific energy.

      • Silver Nitrate溶液의 精巢內 注射에 衣한 家兎의 去勢效果에 關한 硏究

        This experiment was carried out to develop a Chemical castration with a single intratesticular injection of silver nitrate solution in domestic rabbits. A total of 44 bucks of 4 to 5 months old were alloted at random into the following 4 groups; 9 bucks for controls; 6 bucks for 0.3㎖ injection of 1% AgNO₃to each testis; 14 bucks for 0.5㎖ injection of 1% AgNO₃: and 15 bucks for 0.5㎖ injection of 5% AgNO₃. Changes in body weight, testicuar width in scrotum sac, weight and histology of testis at slaughter, blood cell counts and serum levels of testosterone of the buck were measured for 4 weeks after treatment. The results obtained were summarized as follows: 1. Compared with the controls the body weght gain of bucks treated with AgNO₃was not significantly (P<0.05) different during the experimental period for 4 weeks. 2. The white blood cell counts were increased slightly but insignificantly 1 day after injection of AgNO₃and then decreased to normal level soon. There was no significant change in red blood cell counts in the bucks treated with AgNO₃. 3. Most of the testis of bucks were swollen significantly (P<0.05) by 6 to 12㎜ in the width of testis in scrotum sac 1 day after injection of AgNO₃, but decreased in size 3 days after treatment and regained their normal size in a week. 4. The AgNO₃injection was not sufficient for same bucks to be successfully castrated. Only 60.0 to 66.7% of the bucks treated with 0.5㎖ dose of 1 to 5% AgNO₃showed the serum level of testosterone of lower than 0.1ng/㎖ by 28 days after treatment. This was considered to be resulted from the fact that not a whole but a limited part of testis injured by this scheme of injection. 5. The weight of testis of the bucks showing less than 0.1ng/㎖ of serum testosterone by 7 to 28 days after treatment was not significantly (p<0.05) different between the treatments of periods after treatment. This result indicates that the period of 4 weeks might be not sufficient for the injured testicular tissue to be necrotized and absorbed. 6. The extent of damage of testis by injection of AgNO₃was much different by the local effect in the parts of distance from injection. A proximal portion of testis injected with AgNO₃was fully damaged and necrotized, but a distal part of testis was not severely damaged.

      • 숙시닐화가 Aspergillus fumigatus 균체단백질의 기능적 특성에 미치는 영향

        숙시닐화가 균체 단백질 (Asprgillus fumigatus)의 여러가지 기능적 특성에 미치는 영향을 검토하였다. 균체 단백질은 succinic anhydride 2.5와 10% 첨가에 20.7 과 85.3%가 숙시닐화되었다. 숙시닐화된 균체 단백질은 흡광도, 핵산 및 탄수화물의 양은 감소하였으나 단백질소, 단백질 추출율은 증가되었다. 숙시닐화된 균체 단백질의 질소용해도는 milk casein과 soy flour보다 32 와 51% 증가되었다. 유화활성도와 유화 안정성은 균체 단백질의 숙시닐화 비율에 따라서 증가 되었으며,80% 숙시닐화된 균체 단백질은 약 8.4배 증가율을 나타내어 숙시닐화를 증가시킴에 따라 유화활성도와 유화안정성이 증가 되었다. 숙시닐화 시킨 균체 단백질은 숙시닐화 시키지 않는 균체 단백질, milk casein 및 soy flour에 비하여 향상된 기능적 특성을 나타내었다. The influence of succinylation on several functional properties of fungal protein (Aspereillus fumigatus) was investigated. Fungal protein was succinylated to 20.7 and 85.3% by addition of 2.5 and 10% succinic anhydride, respectively. Succinylated fungal protein decreased the absorbance at 260nm, nucleic acid and carbohydrate, but increased the proteinous nitrogen and protein extraction in fungal protein. Succinylation had an enhancing effect on the functional properties as much as the degree of it was increased. Oil retention of succinylated fungal protein was higher about from two to five times than those of milk casein. Nitrogen solubility of succinylated fungal protein was increased to 32 and 51% than that of milk casein and soy flour. Emulsifying activity and stability were increased in proportion to the succinylated degree of fungal protein. As the result of succinylation increase more than 80%, emulsifying activity increased about 8.4 times. In conclusion, succinylated fungal protein improved functional properties, compared with nonsuccinylated fungal protein, milk casein and soy flour.

      • 유산구균 1370의 수용성 글루캔 형성에 영향을 미치는 인자

        The water-soluble glucan prodeced by Lactococcus lactis 1370 affects the formation of dental plaque by Streptococcus mutans. In this study the factors affecting the formation of water-soluble glucan were assessed as the optical density of culture supernatant of Lactococcus lactis 1370 in the spectrophotometer. 1. The optical density of culture supernatant was high when Lactococcus lactis 1370 was cultured in M17 broth with 5% sucrose, while being low in culture supernatant of Streptococcus mutans. 2. The optical density of culture supernatant was higher when Lactococcus lactis 1370 was cultured in M17 broth with 10% sucrose than when being cultured without sucrose (p<0.05), and was higher at pH 7 than pH 5 (p<0.05). 3. The optical density of culture supernatant was the highest at 37℃ among 32℃, 37℃ and 42℃, and was higher in the anaerobic incubator than in the aerobic incubator (p<0.05). 4. The optical density of culture supernatant was the highest in the media containing 1.0mM CaCl2 (p<0.05), 2.5mM KCl (p<0.05), and 1.6 mM MgCl2. 5. When Streptococcus mutans was cultured in the media containing a quarter culture supernatant of Lactococcus lactis 1370 grown in M17 broth, the mean weight of produced artificial plaque was 103.0 mg on the wire, whereas being significantly reduced to 5.6mg in the media containing a quarter culture supernatant of Lactococcus lactis 1370 grown in M17 broth containing 5% sucrose (p<0.05). These results indicate that the water-soluble glucan is more formed by Lactococcus lactis 1370 in the media containing sucrose or under the adequate conditions for the growth of bacteria, and inhibits the formation of artificial plaque by Streptococcus mutans.

The method of study ; We made the judgmental equation, increasing ability of judgment to give thinking importance among each subjects about a Clinical study of judgment and the method of using. I investigated which Equation is better by a Clinical Study of the judgment. We made Equation, 9 and examine the Accuracy rate of the judgment through patients, student of University formal peoples and peoples taking the drugs 304 member totally. 3. The result of study ; We made 9 Equation of The judgment. The Equation of the judgment (Ⅰ-2) is the highest ability of the judgment, the diagnostic accuracy is 60.53% about Soeum, 52.78% about Taeeum, 48.39% about Soyang.
