        Background: Mutation of Gs protein subunit (gsp oncogene), detected in about 30∼40% of growth hormone (GH)-secreting pituitary tumors, is associated with an increased long-acting somatostatin analog octreotide sensitivity. However, the mRNA expression of somatostatin receptor (sst) was not changed in the GH-secreting pituitary tumor, regardless of whether they were gsp oncogene positive or negative. This suggests that the expression of genes coding for G_i2α, Pit-1 and the other factors involved in the regulation of secretory activity in somatotrophs is likely to be altered in gsp oncogene positive tumors. We observed the impact of the gsp oncogene on the expression of the genes coding for Gi2, Pit-1 and sst (2&5) in GH-secreting pituitary tumors. Methods: The GH response to octreotide was examined in 13 acromegalic patients before transsphenoidal adenomectomy. Genomic DNA and RNA were extracted from fresh frozen tumor tissues. PCR was performed to amplify and sequence the region between codon 184 and 251 that includes exons 8 and 9 of the Gs gene. Sst2, sst5, G_i2α and Pit-1 mRNA levels were measured by semi-quantitative RT-PCR. Results: Sst2 and sst5 mRNA transcripts were detected in all tumors (7 gsp +, 6 gsp-). The amount of sst transcripts varied considerably varied between the tumors. There were no significant differences in sex, age, tumor size, grade or basal GH levels. Pit-1 and sst2 mRNA levels were not different. In contrast, G_i2 mRNA levels were significantly higher in gsp (+) while sst5 mRNA levels were higher in gsp (-). Conclusion: These data suggests that gsp oncogene may increase Gi2α levels but decrease sst5 mRNA levels. However, Pit-1 and sst2 mRNA expression may not be affected by gsp oncogene. The increased expression of the G_i2α gene might be an inhibitory compensatory response to the action of gsp oncogene

      • VDSL 가입자의 환경에 따른 속도 영향성 검토분석

        VDSL(Very high-bit rate Digital Subscriber Line) is one of xDSL Technology as well as ADSL(Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line), and it has the fastest transmitting speed among other xDSLs. According to ANSI Standard, VDSL has 13~52Mbps of downloading speed and 1.6~6.4Mbps of uploading speed in asymmetric service, and in case of symmetric service, it provides 13Mbps and 26Mbps of transmission speed in both way. VDSL basically consists of CO(Central Office), ONU(Optical Network Unit), STU(Subscriber Terminal Unit) at home and optical distribution network. Since optical cable is used from CO to ONU and copper wire line is used other than that line, there happens speed problem which is the biggest problem of subscribers. In this thesis, examined the effect of bridge tab within copper wire line and the specifications of subscribers' PC on data transmission speed. It is shown that the factors to decrease data transmission speed were the number of bridge taps, thickness of wire line and length of transmission line and that OS and hardware specifications of subscribers' PC affected data transmission speed. This study investigated data transmission speed by wiring types of bridge taps within copper wire line at subscribers' house and suggested five models best for subscribers' environment to improve data transmission speed.

      • 난포기 및 황체기에 있어서 돼지 난관 협부 평활근의 neurotransmitter들의 수축효과에 대한 estradiol-17β및 progesterone의 영향

        The effects of estradiol-17β or progesterone on the contractility of neurotransmitters on pig oviductal isthmic smooth muscle were investigated. The motility of the isolated smooth muscle was recorded by using physiological recording system. The results were summarized as follows : 1. The contractility induced by histamine or prostaglandin F2α was depressed by the pretreatment of estradiol-17β but was not by the preteatment of progesterone in follicular or luteal stage. 2. The contractility induced by acetylcholine was depressed un follicular stage but excited in luteal stage by the pretreatment of estradiol-17β or progesterone. 3. The contractility induced by norepinephrine was depressed by the pretreatment of progesterone in follicular stage but was excited by the pretreatment estradiol-17β in luteal stage.

      • 자동차용 부품 제조회사의 생산관리용 전산시스템 개발

        자동차용 부품을 생산하는 중소기업체에서 회사내 업무 전산화를 위해 활용할 수 있는 전산시스템을 개발하였다. 자동차용 부품 생산은 주로 이산(discrete) 생산이고 주문(order) 생산품이 많으므로, 제품 및 부품에 대한 관리를 수작업으로 하기는 어렵다. 따라서, 전산시스템을 이용한 관리가 필요한데, 본 연구개발에서는 현재의 업무 처리 방식, 생산 환경, 전산망의 상황 등을 고려하여 기존 시스템의 문제점들을 해결하고 개선한 전산시스템을 개발하였다. The objective of the study is in development of a software for a small and medium company. Our software will be utilized to improve the planning and control process in discrete and order production environment. Most of companies have at least one software for the production planning and control. By the way, there exist few companies having a software of good fitness of the company. This study develops a new software to have good fitness for the company I by modifying and improving the existing one of the company.

      • 효율적인 컴포넌트 개발을 위한 확장 객체지향 분석 및 설계

        Component Based Development(CBD) is an emerging paradigm of software development. Its goal is composing an application with plug & play software components on the frameworks. This CBD requires existing software analysis and design approaches to be reconsidered. In this paper. we present the extended method from Object-Oriented Analysis and Design. To provide a clear separation of component specification form its design and implementation. we add interface design step and component implementation design step to the process of Object-Oriented Methodology. To provide a method of tracking each step in the development process, we add "use case-behavior-control object-interface mapping table", "component-interface-implementation class mapping table", and "interface-implementation class-integrated implementation class mapping table" to the Object-Oriented Models. Object-Oriented Models could be easily re-engineered to Component System Models by the proposed method. Component System Models also could be easily back tracked by the proposed method.

        진동에 의한 혈관 내 폐 보조장치의 산소전달 특성

        본 연구는 급성호흡부전환자를 치료하기 위하여 사용되고 있는 혈관 내 폐 보조장치의 기체전달을 향상시키기 위하여 중공사막에 진동기법을 사용하여 기체전달을 향상시키고자 시도하였다. 그리고 혈관 내 폐 보조장치를 정맥에 삽입하기 전, 혈관 내 폐 보조장치의 설계조건을 실험적 모델을 통하여 기체전달을 예측할 수 있는 예측식을 만들고자 하였다. 실험결과, 본 연구에서는 진동기법이 기체전달을 향상시키는데 효과적임을 확인할 수 있었다. 뿐만 아니라, 충진율과 가징 주파수의 함수관계를 이용하여 기체전달을 예측 할 수 있었다. 실험에 의하여 얻어진 결과는 예측식에 의하여 얻어진 결과와 유사한 결과를 얻었다. 그러므로 본 연구에서는 충진율과 가진 주파수의 함수를 이용하여 VIVLAD의 기체전달을 예측할 수 있었다. In this paper, we tried to improve gas exchange of the vibrating intravascular lung assist device(VIVLAD) using vibrating method in the hollow fiber membrane, for the patients suffering from acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS). And we tried to formularize prediction equations to make a prediction about gas transfer for designing intravenous artificial lung assist device, and designed modules under various conditions were studied through an experimental modeling before inserted the artificial lung assist device into as venous. As a result, we are convinced that vibration method is very useful for the has transfer increasing. Also, we can estimate the gas transfer as a function of the packing density and excited frequencies. The gas transfer obtained from the experiment was similar to that from the prediction equation, confirming the usefulness prediction equation. Therefore, we can estimate the gas transfer of the VIVLAD as a function of the packing density and excited frequencies.

        Vandalism is definded as any act that willfully defaces or destroys some parts of an outdoor recreation area, resulting increased costs to the manager or lessening the appeal of the area to the visitor. This study was proposed to arrive at effective-preventive techniques of vandalism in parks. In this study, the understanding of the different types of motives that underlie vandalism was needed. And I found that much depreciative behavior in parks in preventable, that costly deliberate vandalism can sometimes be circumvented. To make the park more humanistic, I think, park designers and managers must to exert their best efforts to prevent vandalism in parks.

        搜勝臺와 인근의 景勝資源에 관한 연구

        This study was carried out to enhance the historical value of Suseungdae in Geochang by describing spatial organization of it and its neighboring scenic beauty resources. The method of this study was based on field survey and literature investigation. The results were summarized as follows ; 1. The famous place of scenic beauty and historical interest was renamed from Susongdae to Suseungdae by Lee Hwang(1510-1570) in 1543. 2. The whole area of Suseungdae was marked off as a historical area. And the historical area was divided into two sections with respect to spatial functions. 3. Historical relics of Suseungdae were mostly related to Shin Kwon(1502-1573) who had founded Guyeonjae in 1540 and Yosujeong in 1542. 4. Terms and names descended from Suseungdae implied mainly sybolic meanings related to eternal life and enchanted place. 5. It is necessary to establish a systematic plan to preserve the historical area and to promote the cultural value of it. 6. It is recommended to consider Suseungdae in connection with neighboring famous places ; Shimwonjeong, Geoyeonjeong, Gunjajeong, Donghojeong, Nongwoljeong, Geongyejeong, 7. As for the recently developed area, discreet considerations must be given to historical viewpoints before tourist facilities are construcred.

      • 슈미트햄머의 반발도 및 초음파속도에 미치는 결합재의 영향

        This paper reports the influence of kinds of cement and replacing ratio of fly ash(FA) and blast furnace slag powder(BS) on estimation of compressive strength by non-destructive test. According to the results, the compressive strength, the rebound value of schmidt hammer and ultrasonic pulse velocity show the higher value in order of AMC, UHC and OPC. In concrete replaced with mineral admixture, they are lower at early age, but higher at the age of 91 days compared with plain concrete. As the influence of the kinds of cement, estimated compressive strength by Schmidt hammer is almost same in the case of UHC, but much lower at the same rebound value in the case of AMC, in comparison with OPC. But the influence of mineral admixture is very insignificant. Compressive strength estimated by ultrasonic pulse velocity method shows the higher value by 10MPa, 12.5MPa in the case of UHC and AMC respectively compared with OPC, and the influence of mineral admixture on ultrasonic pulse velocity is insignificant.
