Background: Feline calicivirus (FCV) is widespread throughout the world. An FCV infection is associated with conjunctivitis, rhinitis, and mouth ulcers that can lead to the animal’s death. Because vaccination is not always effective, it is necessary to monitor the infection regularly. Objectives: This study examined the FCV epizootic situation in the Moscow metropolitan area by conducting a molecular phylogenetic analysis of the virus isolates. Methods: Samples from 6213 animals were examined by a reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction. For phylogenetic analysis, 12 nucleotide sequences obtained from animal samples were selected. Sequencing was performed using the Sanger method. Phylogenetic analysis was conducted using the Maximum Likelihood method. Results: The FCV genome was detected in 1,596 (25.7%) samples out of 6,213. In 2018, calicivirus was detected in 18.9% of samples, 27.8% in 2019, 21.4% in 2020, and 32.6% in 2021. Phylogenetic analysis of the F ORF2 region and the ORF3 start region led to division into two FCV genogroups. Most of the isolates (8 out of 12) were close to the Chinese strains. On the other hand, there were isolates closely related to European and American strains. The isolates circulating in Moscow were not included in clusters with vaccine strains; their nucleotide similarity varied from 77% to 83%. Conclusions: This study revealed a high prevalence and genetic diversity of the FCV in Moscow. The epizootic situation remains stably tense because 24 viruses were detected in 25% of animals annually.

Haemangiomas of the liver are benign tumours, which are often diagnosed randomly. With an increase in size haemangiomas could become symptomatic. In this case therapeutic options, surgical or interventional, have to be weighted to a conservative approach. We present a case of a 36-year old woman with a symptomatic giant haemangioma of the right liver lobe. Because of the size of the tumor and the small future liver remnant we decided to perform a major liver resection after hypertrophy induction with a preoperative portal vein embolization; an option mainly used for major hepatectomies in malignant tumors of the liver. But however, this case shows, that using a hypertrophy concept also for benign liver tumours is the safer approach, if an extended resection is necessary and the future liver remnant is critical.

Since the Soviet dissolution in 1991, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan have promoted the most active foreign policies in the region. From a wide perspective, they both have much in common. They both were under Russian domination along with being ruled by their respective irremovable leaders. Despite all those commonalities, they both have taken different foreign policy paths. This article explores and discusses the interconnection between national identity and foreign policy construction in Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan by examining comparatively at the driving forces through which the regimes adopted identities based upon historical narratives of their demographics that have led to the formation of divergent foreign policies (Uzbekistan’s unilateralism and Kazakhstan’s multilateralism). This article adopts the constructivist approach to answer the puzzle, where the theory delineates the connection and pertinence of national identity to foreign policy because the process of identifying the contrast of “self” and the “other” is socially constructed.

Areas with dangerous processes which led to deformation of an embankment on a linear object laid in the conditions of the cryolithozone are study. The surveyed section of the railway route Pesets-Hanovey is located behind a polar circle (about 67.2 ° Northern Latitude, 63.5 ° East Longitude) in Bolshezemelskaya Tundra in the extreme northeast of the Komi Republic in the Vorkuta region. On the detailed site of a research the field educational practice on permafrostology which is carried out by Geological faculty MSU in the commonwealth with the Northern railroad Russian Railway. In the course which carried out a complex of field works: drilling operations, determination of Thermal-physics properties ground, definition of temperature condition of a surface, research of ground by an electric prospecting method, studying of temperature condition of permafrost, measurement of a layer of seasonal thawing, landscape micro zoning into districts of the site Hanovey, studying of frost blisters, determination of radiation balance, temperature condition of a brook, matching of results of geophysical researches, surface researches leveler. On the basis of monitoring, there were obtained data which formed the basis for development of a technique according to stability of development of a natural and technical system. The relation of size of the planned expenses to estimated size greatest possible can be used as an indicator of "security" of sustainable development. As cross-disciplinary approach to studying of a perspective is necessary, we developed offers of recommendatory character for socialists: geologists-permafrost researchers, engineers (designers and specialists in operation) and economists.

Background: Despite of the gained results in diagnostics and treatment of community- acquired pneumonias (CAP) the pneumococcal infection remains one of the leadingproblems of the modern medicine. Also there are still some discussions in epidemiological peculiarities of pneumococcal CAP in different age groups. The aim was to defi ne role of S. pneumoniae in ethiology. Methods: Our patients with confirmed CAP (400 patients) were divided on 4 age groups of 1-5 years, 6-15 years, adults (18-54), aged adults (55Results: pneumococcus was the leading pathogen in all age groups, and it was the most frequent in 1-5 children (42%), 6-15 (30%), 18-54 (35%), >55 years (60%). In some cases it was defi ned in association with the Chlamydia pneumophilla, Mycoplasma pneumonia and Haemophilus infi uenzae. The resistance of pneumcoocci to macrolides was in all groups, and it was connected with the spread of the mefE and ermB determinants, and there were only 12 penicilline resistant strains. The isolates were distributed among four major serotypes: 23F, 14, 18C, 6B. MLST (30 isolates) showed the spread of sequence types 90, 189, 240 and some others. Conclusions: Pneumococci remains the leading pathogen causing CAP in all age groups, and the epidemiological surveillance with molecular epidemiology study should be the fi rst step for preventive measures and the spread of the pneumococcal vaccines (e. g. Prevnar) among population.
The Transformation of Asian Food Consumption and Russia as a Guarantor of Food Security in Asia

This article examines the state of the global food problem, food security in East Asia, and the opportunity for Russia to prevent a food deficit in North Korea. The authors analyze the symptoms of the global food problem, the theoretical approaches to food security, the transformation of food consumption in Asia, and the food trade between Russia and the Korean Peninsula. One major conclusion is that Russia is in the best position among all countries to increase food exports to Asia―and especially to North Korea―as the people of Asia’s food consumption habits shape the new structure of food trade between that region and the rest of the world.

This study was carried out to investigate storageassociatedchanges in the fatty acid profile (with GC and1H-NMR techniques) of oat-based gluten-free cookiesprepared with different fats: margarine (MAR), butter(BUT), lard (LAR), refined palm oil (RPO), refined palmoil with stearin (RPOS), and hydrogenated palm oil (HPO). GC analysis indicated that palmitic and stearic acid werethe predominant saturated fatty acids (SFAs), regardless ofthe type of fat used. cis-Oleic acid represented the majormonounsaturated fatty acid (MUFA), while cis-linoleicacid was the most abundant polyunsaturated fatty acid(PUFA). After 6 months of storage, a significant decreasingtrend in SFA concentration was observed for LAR andRPOS cookies, while a decrease in MUFA concentrationwas observed only for HPO cookies. In fresh cookies andin cookies stored for 6 months, the contents of SFA,MUFA, and PUFA determined by GC were positivelycorrelated with those determined by 1H-NMR (r[0.90).
