The purpose of this article is to understand in more detail how human destiny can be defined through metapraxis circular theory, and based on this specific understanding, human destiny in the ‘educational sense’ should be aimed at spiritual person(大人). Thus, this article first conceptually distinguished and understood ‘children and adults’, it revealed how children can become spiritual person. However, the important point here is that spiritual person are not just ‘given’, but children can be cultivated by their efforts to become spiritual person or education, and for this, social competence must be gathered, and on the other hand, their own ‘decision and effort’ must be supported. In addition, even if humans have no choice but to accept the child’s state or time as fate at birth, the state or quality of an adult can be said to be in a state of being determined, not a state of being determined, in that it can become a spiritual person by its own efforts or normal education. Therefore, as discussed in this article, it is possible to understand more specifically how it is possible by ‘related to division’ between Concentration & Contemplation[止觀] and Samadhi & Vipassana[定慧] in Buddhist practice.
Spontaneous Spinal Epidural Hematoma Coexisting Guillan-Barre΄ Syndrome in a Child: A Case Report

Spontaneous spinal epidural hematoma (SSEH) has been reported as a rare cause of spinal cord compression, especially in children. Clinical features are usually nonspecific, although cervicothoracic location of hematoma could be presented with progressive paraplegia. Guillian-Barré syndrome (GBS) is clinically defined as an acute peripheral neuropathy causing progressive limb weakness. Because SSEH and GBS have very similar signs and symptoms, SSEH could be misdiagnosed as GBS. Nevertheless, they can be presented together. We describe a rare case of SSEH coexisting with GBS.

Magnetic resonance diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) has revealed the disruption of brain white matter microstructure in normal aging and alcoholism undetectable with conventional structural MR imaging. we plan to analyze the FA measurements of the ROI of dangerous drinkers selected from Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT) and Tract-Based Spatial Statics (TBSS) tool was used to extract FA values in the ROI from the image acquired through the pre-processing process. TBSS has a higher sensitivity of the FA value and MD value in the white matter than the brain gray matter, and has the advantage of quantitatively deriving the unlimited degree of brain nerve fibers, and more specialized in the brain white matter. We plan to analyze the fractional anisotropy (FA) measurement value for damage by selecting the center of the anatomical structure of the white matter region of the brain with high anisotropy among the brain neural networks that are particularly vulnerable to alcohol as the region of interest (ROI). In this study, we expected that alcohol causes damage to the brain white matter microstructure from FA value in various areas including both Choroid plexus. Especially, In the case of the moderate drunker, the mean value of FA in Lt, Rt. Choroid plexus was 0.2831 and 0.2872, whereas, in the case of the severe drunker, the mean value of FA was 0.1972 and 0.1936. We found that the higher the score on the AUDIT scale, the lower the FA value in ROI region of the brain white matter. Using the AUDIT scale, the guideline for the FA value of DTI can be presented, and it is possible to select a significant number of potentially severe drinkers. In other words, AUDIT was proved as useful tool in screening and discrimination of severe drunker through DTI.

The purpose of this article is to clarify that education is the very job of teaching the subject(wholeness), which requires a long and long ‘effort’ called ‘study’(工夫) and that ‘patience’ or ‘diligence and sincerity’ to support it are the very principles. In order to clarify that, this article attempted to find an answer to it by analyzing the concept of ‘vῑrya(精進) and vῑrya-pāramitā(精進波羅蜜)’, which were important in Buddhist practice, focusing on the fact that education(the process of education) is similar to Buddhist practice. To this end, in the process of reviewing studies on modern educational theory(principle), based on articles that emphasize ‘patience, repetition, and (sudden enlightenment)gradual cultivation’, the ‘differentiation-related’ of ‘vῑrya and vῑrya-pāramitā’ was carefully examined. Therefore, the conclusion drawn from this article was that vῑrya-pāramitā cannot be achieved without efforts and patience called vῑrya, and that also means that vῑrya itself is not vῑrya-pāramitā. Therefore, it was also revealed that vῑrya-pāramitā is based on vῑrya, but a ‘process of qualitative transformation’ called ‘leap’ is required, which should be crucially important as the principle of education-leap as qualitative transformation. Nevertheless, in order for such a ‘qualitative leap’ to take place, it should be emphasized that it should not be forgotten that it is impossible without ‘efforts and perseverance’ or ‘diligence and sincerity’. 이 글의 목적은 교육은 ‘교과’(총체)를 가르치는 바로 그 일을 하는 것이며, 여기에는 소위 ‘공부’(工夫)라고 하는 지난하고 길고 긴 ‘노력’이 반드시 요구된다는 점과 그를 뒷받침할 수 있는 ‘인내’ 또는 ‘근면과 성실’이 바로 그 원리가 된다는 점을 밝히는 데에 있다. 이를 밝히기 위하여, 이 글에서는 교육(교육의 과정)은 곧 불교수행과 유사하다는 점에 착안하여, 불교수행에서 중요시된 ‘정진과 정진바라밀’ 개념을 분석함으로써 그에 대한 해답을 구하고자 하였다. 이를 위해서 현대의 교육이론(원리)에 관한 연구들을 검토하는 과정에서 ‘인내와 반복, 그리고 (돈오)점수’를 강조하는 글들을 바탕으로 하여 ‘정진과 정진바라밀’의 ‘구분과 관련’을 밀도 있게 점검해 보았다. 그리하여 이 글에서 도출된 결론은 정진바라밀은 정진이라고 하는 노력과 인내가 없이는 이루어질 수 없는 것이며, 그렇다고 하여 또한 정진 그 자체가 정진바라밀은 아니라는 점이었다. 따라서 정진바라밀은 정진을 ‘기반’으로 하되, 반드시 ‘도약’이라고 하는 ‘질적 전환의 과정’이 요구되며, 이는 결정적으로 교육의 원리―질적 전환으로서의 도약―로서 중요시되어야 한다는 점 또한 밝혀 보았다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 그러한 ‘질적 도약’이 이루어지기 위해서는 역시나 ‘노력과 인내’ 또는 ‘근면과 성실’로 대변되는 ‘정진’ 없이는 불가능하다는 점이 잊혀서는 안 된다는 것이 강조되어야 한다.

The reliability of partially restrained connections is dependent on the variability in the moment-rotation characteristics. In this study, the moment-rotation relation is adopted by power model considering three parameters. Probability distribution functions of three parameters reliability indices are calculated by structural reliability analysis. Limit state equation on the moment-rotation relation of partially restrained connections of steel beam in non-sway steel frame is presented. In order to provide target reliability index by changing coefficient of variance of random variable, advanced first-order second moment method is applied. The results by this method are compared with those by Monte-Carlo method.
