The mechanical properties of the PBT/Nylon6, and PBT/Nylon12 bimodal composites

Compatibilization of PBT/Nylon6, 12 blend according to their weight ratio and extrusion temperature was investigated with SEM morphology and DSC thermograms. In comparison with SEM pictures, the domain sizes of Nylon6,12 were gradually on the decrease by raising the blend temperature. Moreover, these illustrate that the phase boundaries between Nylon6,12 domain and PBT matrix became indistinct with increasing of weight percentage of Nylon6,12. In the case of DSC thermograms, the boundaries of two peaks are almost disappeared by raising the blend temperature, and intervals of their each two melting peaks became narrow as rising of Nylon6, 12 ratio. The mechanical properties including tensile strength, elongation, flexural strength and flexural modulus were increased as the increase in the extrusion temperature until 260°C.

The purpose of this study was to observe the effect on teeth and tibia bone histopathologically in rats by the richitogenic diet. For this purpose, 48 sprague-dewley rats, weighing 80g or more, divided into 6 groups, and sacrificed on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th weeks after experiments respectively. The tissues contain tooth, and tibial bone were fixed in 10% normal formalin solution, decalcified in Plank-Rychlo solution, embedded in paraffin, sectioned in $6-8{\mu}$ as usual manner, the tissues were stained in hematoxylin eosin, and examined hisopathologically. Follow results were attained 1. Pyknotic appearance of odontoblastic layer was noticed on the 1st week, and increased on the 2nd weeks, and it is appeared that degeneration and dearrangements of odontoblasts on the 4 weeks. But a little recovered on the 6th weeks. 2. The thickness of predentin layer was increased on the 2nd weeks, and increased remarkedly on the 3rd weeks and reached the maximum on the 5th weeks. 3. The interglobular dentin was appeared in spotty shape on the 2nd weeks, and increased on the 4th, 5th, weeks, and large amount of inter-globular dentin was appearanced on the 6th weeks. 4. It is appeared that enamel hypoplasia on the 4th weeks. 5. Epiphyseal and metaphyseal plate of tibia was increased from/on the 2nd weeks, increased maximumly on the 5th weeks. And pyknotic, dearrangements, and hyperchromatic appearances of chondrocytes on the plate were increased on the 1st week.

Hot-wire measurements were carried out on the developing turbulent flows subject to plane rate of strain in a rotating curved duct. The cross-section of the curved duct varies from 100mm${\times}$50mm rectangular shape at the bend inlet gradually to the 50mm${\times}$100mm rectangular shape at the bend outlet. Experimental setup consists of the test section of $90^{\circ}$ curved duct, rotating disc of 1.95m diameter, Ag-Ni precision slip ring, automatic traversing mechanism, variable speed motor, centrifugal blower, orifice flowmeter and hot-wire anemometer. Data signals from the rotating curved duct are transmitted through the slip ring to the computer which is located at the outside of the rotating disc. 3-dimensional velocity and 6 Reynold stresses components were obtained from the fluctuating and mean voltage measured by the slant type hot-wire probe rotating into 6 orientations. We investigate the effects of Coriolis and centrifugal forces on the turbulence structure.
