This study is intended to examine the efficacy of group exercise program on improvement of respiratory function and balance ability in local community patients with chronic stroke. To achieve this goal, this study selected 15 chronic stroke patients in local community. Experimental group (n=15) received group motivating exercise program which program was performed 5 weeks. The program included a therapeutic program to improve abdominal muscle strength and respiratory function. The respiratory functions were analyzed forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume at one second (FEV1) by spirometer. To measure balance ability changes, we measured berg balance scale (BBS). In respiratory function and balance ability test, the post outcome was improved than the pre outcome. Especially, FEV1 and BBS showed significantly increased than pre (p<.05). The results of this study showed that the group motivating exercise program may be appropriate for improving the respiratory function and balance ability in local community with chronic stroke.
자조활동 훈련 프로그램이 만성 뇌졸중 환자의 호흡기능 및 삶의 질에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of self care training program on respiratory function and quality of life in chronic stroke patients. To achieve this goal, this study selected 20 chronic stroke patients in local community men. Stroke patients carried out self care training program be composed of stability exercise(hollowing exercise, bridging exercise, crul-up exercise, dead bug exercise) and respiratory training with respiratory device for 40 minutes, 4 times per week for 5 weeks. Stroke patients were assessed respiratory function(FVC, FEV1, PEF) using spirometer and quality of life using EQ-5D at pre and post. In respiratory function test, the post outcome was significantly improve than the pre outcome(p<.05). In quality of life evaluation, the post outcome of was significantly improve than the pre outcome(p<.001). The result of this study show that the self care training program be composed of trunk stability exercise and respiratory training with respiratory device may be appropriate for improving the respiratory function and quality of life in chronic stroke patients.
수중운동이 허혈성 뇌졸중 유발 백서의 하지근육 및 운동기능회복에 미치는 영향

Purpose: This study is intended to examine the aquatic exercise on the improvement of muscle atrophy and motor function in an ischemic stroke model induced by middle cerebral artery occlusion. Methods: We used 60 Sprague-Dawely rats which were divided into 4 groups; the subjects were divided into group of 5 rats. Group I was a group of high dose aquatic exercise after inducing ischemic stroke; Group II was a group of low dose aquatic exercise after inducing ischemic stroke; Group III was a control group, Group IV was a sham group without ischemic stroke. Results: Muscle weight of gastrocnemius muscle was significantly difference in Group II compared to Group III on 8 weeks(p<0.05). For the changes in relative muscle weight of gastrocnemius muscle, there was significant increase in Group II compared to Group III on 8 weeks(p<0.05). For neurologic exercise behavior test, Group II generally had the highest score, compared to other groups. The results of behavior test that Group II improved in degeneration and inflammation of muscle fiber and decreased in destruction of nerve cells and cerebral infarction, indicating a similar state of muscle fiber and brain to Group III. Conclusion: Based on these results, aquatic exercise may improve muscle atrophy and contribute to the improvement of motor function.
자조활동 훈련 프로그램이 만성 뇌졸중 환자의 상지 운동기능 및 자기효능감에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of self care training program on motor function of upper limb and self-efficacy in chronic stroke patients. This study selected 20 chronic stroke patients in local community men. The subjects carried out self care training program be composed of task oriented training for 40 minutes, 4 times per week for 6 weeks. Manual function test(MFT), digital grip dynamometer, self-efficacy scale were used to evaluate motor function of upper limb and self-efficacy during pre and post intervention. In MFT and hand grip force test, the post outcome were significantly increase than the pre outcome(p<.05). In self-efficacy evaluation, the post outcome of was significantly improve than the pre outcome(p<.05). The result of this study show that the self care training program be composed of task oriented training may be appropriate for improving the motor function of upper limb and self-efficacy in chronic stroke patients. This will enable the application of self care training program in rehabilitation therapy of chronic stroke patients and it will help guide the selection of the therapist as one therapeutic basis
컴퓨터 기반 인지재활 프로그램 적용 시 백색소음이 지역사회 노인의 기억력과 주의력에 미치는 영향

본 연구는 지역사회 노인을 대상으로 컴퓨터 기반인지재활 프로그램 적용 시 백색소음이 기억력과 주의력에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 지역사회에 거주하는 70세 이상 노인 30명을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다. 컴퓨터 기반 인지재활 프로그램은COMCOG를 이용하여 총 6주간, 주 3회 30분의 프로그램으로 구성하였다. 기억력 및 주의력이 변화를 알아보기 위해 전산화 신경인지 기능 검사를 실시하였다. 기억력과 주의력은 실험군과 대조군 모두 실험 전에 비해 실험 후 향상되었음을 알 수 있었으며, 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타내었다(p<.05). 실험 후 집단 간 비교 검사 결과, 대조군과 실험군에 차이를 나타내었다. 기억력 검사에서는 역방향 시공간 폭 검사를 제외한 나머지 검사에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타내었으며(p<.05), 주의력 검사에서는 청각적연속수행 및 시각적 연속수행 검사의 정반응 수에서통계적으로 유의한 차이를 나타내었다(p<.05). 이상의결과를 통해 컴퓨터 인지재활 프로그램이 노인의 기억력과 주의력 향상에 효과적이며, 백색소음 환경은프로그램을 수행하는데 더욱 집중할 수 있도록 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것을 알 수 있었다.
