      • 전기철도와 무선국간 전자파 양립성 평가

        철도차량은 무선주파수를 사용하는 무선국과 전자기적으로 간섭을 일으키지 않아야 한다. 고전압 대용량의 전기를 사용하는 철도차량은 국내 및 국제 규격에 따라 9 kHz ~1 GHz 주파수 영역에서 전자파 방사 허용 기준치를 만족하여야 하나, 예외적으로 9 ~ 150kHz 대역의 경우에는 해당 주파수를 사용하는 무선국에 영향을 주지 않는 경우에는 제한적으로 전자파 방사 기준치를 초과하는 것을 허용할 수 있다. 그러나 현재 전기철도와 무선국간 전자파 양립성 여부를 판단할 수 있는 구체적인 평가방법이 정의되어 있지 않으므로, 본 논문에서는 ITU-R 권고안을 바탕으로 전기철도와 무선국간 전자파 양립성 평가 알고리즘과 평가 방법을 제시하고, 전자파 양립성 평가를 실시하여 철도차량의 전자파 성능을 입증하는데 활용하고자 한다. Electric railway should not interfere with radio station using radio frequencies electromagnetically. Electric railway using high voltage and high capacity power should satisfy domestic law and international standards in the frequency bands between 9 kHz and 1 GHz. There are very few external radio services operating in the range 9 kHz to 150 kHz with which the railway. Exceptionally, if it can be demonstrated that no compatibility problem exists, any emission level exceeding the relevant limits given in the range 9 kHz to 150 kHz may be acceptable. But, there are no methods for electromagnetic compatibility assessment between electric railway and radio station. In this paper, we propose the algorithm and method for electromagnetic compatibility assessment between electric railway and radio station based on ITU-R recommendation. Also, we will use to demonstrate electromagnetic performance of electric railway through the electromagnetic compatibility assessment.

      • Personal Safety in Electromagnetic Environment of Electric Vehicle

        With the extensive application of automotive electrical and electronic equipment, issues of electromagnetic radiation and electromagnetic compatibility have become increasingly prominent, human body in complex automotive electromagnetic environment is bound to be some damage of electromagnetic radiation. This paper established a relatively sophisticated car simulation model,through electromagnetic characteristics of antenna model, we got automotive electric field distribution and simulation results of human body SAR value, so conclusion can be drawn that automotive electromagnetic environment is relatively safe to passengers.

        견인트랙터의 전자파 적합성(EMC) 설계 대책에 대한 연구

        최근 개발되고 있는 차량은 환경에 대한 개선 측면으로 EURO6 엔진 적용 및 탑승자와 보행자의 안전에 대한 장비들이 적용됨에 따라 차량에는 이를 제어하기 위한 다양한 센서 및 엑추에이터가 탑재되고 있다. 전자파 환경에서의 지상 장비의 작전 운용 성능을 보장하기 위해서는 복잡한 차량 제어 시스템에 EMC(Electromagnetic Compatibility) 대책이 수립되어 장비간의 전자파로 인한 상호 간섭 없이 작동 가능해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 민수용으로 개발된 견인트랙터를 군용화 개조를 통해 MIL-STD-461G의 전자파 성능을 만족하는 설계 방안에 대해 살펴보고자 한다. Recently developed ground vehicles have Euro 6 engines applied to the environment and equipment for the safety of occupants and pedestrians. Accordingly, various sensors and actuators for control are installed in ground vehicles. In order to ensure the operational performance of ground vehicles in the electromagnetic environment, EMC(Electromagnetic Compatibility) measures must be established in the complex vehicle control system. It should operate with mutual interference due to electromagnetic waves between equipment. In this study, a design method that satisfies MIL-STD-461G, the electromagnetic performance of tractor developed for civilian use is reviewed for military use.

        In this paper, it has been carried out to solve the Electromagnetic Environment and EMI/EMC(Electromagnetic Interference/Electromagnetic Compatibility) problems in high performance of electronic test and measurement products. The electric and magnetic fields radiated by lighting discharges are significantly changeable in amplitude and time, one of the topics concerning electromagnetic compatibility of modern electronic system is the efficient and economic protection against transient voltages caused by not only by direct but also by nearly lighting strokes. The electromagnetic and magnetic fields waveforms associated with lighting return strokes are significantly different with those of intracloud discharges.

      • IP Cluster 의 전도성 Noise 저감설계

        Electromagnetic wave is widely used for IT industry such as wireless internet, broadcast network and mobile. And they require more elaborate and complicated device (PCB or Chip) than before, for meeting faster and more precise IT environment. But simultaneously, it causes Noise (Undesirable Electromagnetic wave), we should remove or reduce it for avoiding a false operation. There are two ways for understanding and handling Noise issue. First, EMI (Electromagnetic Interference) means noise emission level control under limited criteria with certain device. The other one, EMS (Electromagnetic Susceptibility), is under noise emission environment, a device could be designed for preventing false operation. Any system or module should be designed regarding to EMI and EMS conditions. In terms of EMI, it contains RE (Radiated Emission), CE (Conducted Emission). EMS perspective, it has RS (Radiated Susceptibility), ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) and CS (Conducted Susceptibility). Systematically, EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) condition have three kinds of part which are Noise source, Carrier path and Victim. If any part of them can be eliminated or controlled, EMC problem can be solved. Merely, most economical way for controlling EMC problem is thorough design for Noise source. This thesis is for researching to optimum PCB design of IP Cluster (Instrument Panel Cluster) which is one of essential module in automotive industry. One thing should be considered is that IP Cluster must be following a restricted package by vehicle manufacturer. Due to this restriction, this thesis is focusing on placement of key components on a restricted PCB circuit in stead of routing change for power line or signal line or adding filtering component. And CE (Conducted Emission) is chosen for a part of improvement in EMC.

        Estimation of Electromagnetic Field Penetration into Concrete Buildings Using a Theoretical Approach Considering External Environmental Factors

        In this paper, we propose a theoretical approach to estimate the power level of electromagnetic waves radiated into a structure by a specific external source. The target structure is a multistory building on a university campus that is used primarily for academic purposes and is much larger than the target wavelength. To verify the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed theoretical approach, measurements were carried out and a commercially available simulation tool, Wireless Insite, was adopted. We then analyzed the influence of an area of vegetation as an external environmental factor that could affect the radiated electromagnetic waves because of its location in front of the target structure. For this, a precise simulation environment was designed to derive the quantitative values of the electromagnetic attenuation caused by the external environmental factor. Furthermore, those values were applied to the theoretical approach. The results of the theoretical approach accounting for the external environmental factor were similar to those of the actual measured results. The results were also similar to those of the simulation tool, Wireless Insite, but the theoretical approach provided more efficient analysis results in terms of time consumption and computer resources.

        VEHICLE-LEVEL ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY PREDICTION BASED ON MULTI-PORT NETWORK THEORY

        This paper proposes a new methodology based on the multi-port network theory to predict the vehicle-level electromagnetic compatibility performance. The original EMC problem is firstly converted to a network by separating the electrical large structures and electrical small components. The impedance is proposed to describe the coupling process of network to eliminate the influence of port impedance on network. Based on this network model, the relationship between the exciting sources and the sensitive components is set up using the multi-port network theory. Furthermore, some application problems, such as measurement of parameters, are also discussed. After validated by a bench test, this methodology for vehicle level electromagnetic compatibility was further applied to predict and improve the low frequency radiated emission of an electric vehicle. The application results show that it can be used to predict electromagnetic interference and analyze the main exciting source satisfactorily.

        Recently as a progress of electric technology, modem electric systems become more and more complicated. Thus, it is difficult to use a classical method to analyze responses of the systems in complicated electromagnetic environments because there are so many coupling phenomena. The electromagnetic topology (EMT) is a helpful solution to analyze electromagnetic interference / electromagnetic compatibility (EMI/EMC) of the large complex system. In this paper, EMT is applied to analyze an active element. And then to prove the validity of this analysis, a detector circuit including Schottky barrier diode is analyzed by EMT when input power is given directly.

        성능이 보완된 PWB 방법을 사용한 외부 전자기파에 의한 대형건물 내부의 전자기파 영향 해석

        This paper presents a method to perform a more efficient electromagnetic wave analysis inside a large building by external electromagnetic waves. Topological analysis and the PWB method are introduced for electromagnetic wave analysis. In addition, a Performance- Enhanced PWB method, which complements the performance of the PWB method is proposed. A large virtual structure was selected and an analysis environment was set up to perform the electromagnetic wave analysis inside a large building from external electromagnetic waves. A commercially available software, Wireless Insite, was used to verify the accuracy of the the Performance- Enhanced PWB method. As a result of comparing the two results in terms of accuracy, time, and memory, We conclude that the Performance- Enhanced PWB method proposed in this paper is a more efficient method in a large bulding.
