        In this study, an effective methodology to introduce knowledge management system into the retail business is suggested by overall analysis of examples those were carried out in business area. Different from existing studies, which focus on theoretical aspect only, this study focuses its attention on theoretical & practical aspect simultaneously and tries to find a long-term & integrated knowledge management strategy. With examining the examples of knowledge management, this study deals with the fundamental conception, the procedure and the organization of knowledge management. Moreover, this study practically analyzes the knowledge management system of the company named "H", one of the retail business companies. By clarifying the problems, which is involved in the knowledge management process of the above company, this study suggests an improvement methodology to introduce and settle down knowledge management system into retail business company for the future. This study has good results in the viewpoint that it gives a definite direction of knowledge management introduction. However, there is some limitation such as the insufficiency of examples and the omission of documented analysis. Therefore, this study leaves some task to be achieved in the future.

        초등국어 1학년의 연필 잡는 법 연구

        Objectives The purpose of this study is to analyze how to hold a pencil in the first grade of elementary school Korean and to find ways to help students write correctly. Methods A case study method was used among the qualitative studies, and interviews with Yoo Sang-eon for a single case of how to hold a pencil, Hangul files related to his claims, YouTube materials, student handwriting materials, and testimonials were used in this study. Textbooks and teacher s guides were analyzed in a multi-layered manner, along with texts and letters. Results As a result, it was found that there was a problem with the position of the finger guiding in the current 2015 revised curriculum for the first grade textbook. In other words, if you look at the position of your fingers when writing, holding a pencil while holding your thumb and index finger in a circle is not the optimal way. Also, it is not appropriate to place your elbows on the desk when writing, so it is a guideline that needs to be corrected. On the other hand, Yoo Sang-eon s method of holding a pencil is a better way to help students write correctly. Here s how to hold a pencil correctly, as he suggests. First, put the tip of the thumb and middle finger together to make a round shape, and then place the pencil on the nail area of the middle finger and the area next to the bone where the index finger begins. Second, lift your thumb upwards, bend it at a right angle, and press the pencil gently from above. Third, bend the forefinger close to a right angle and put it lightly between the thumb and middle finger without straining. Fourth, write in such a way that the wrist or arm where you are writing extends slightly over the edge of the desk. Conclusions If you write according to the shape and position of the finger holding the pencil as suggested by Yoo Sang-eon, the force of the finger applied to the pencil is maintained evenly, so that you can write more correctly. 목적 이 연구의 목적은 초등국어 1학년의 연필 잡는 법을 분석하고, 학생들이 바른 글씨를 쓰도록 돕는 방안을 모색하는 데 있다. 방법 이 연구에서는 질적 연구 가운데 사례 연구라는 연구 방법을 사용하였고, 유상언의 연필 잡는 법이라는 단일 사례를 대상으로 그와의 인터뷰 자료와 그가 주장하는 내용과 관련한 한글 파일, 유튜브 자료, 학생들의 글씨 자료, 소감문이나 편지글 등과 함께 교과서와 교사용지도서를 다층적으로 분석하였다. 결과 그 결과 현행 2015 개정 교육과정 1학년 교과서에서 안내하고 있는 손가락의 위치에 문제가 있다는 것을 발견하였다. 즉, 글씨를 쓸 때 손가락의 위치를 보면, 엄지와 검지를 둥그렇게 모으면서 연필을 잡는 방법은 최적의 방법이 아니라는 것이다. 그리고 글씨를 쓸 때 팔꿈치를 책상 위에 올리도록 한 것도 적절하지 못해서 수정해야 할 지침이다. 이와 달리 유상언이 제안하는 연필을 바르게 잡는 방법은 학생들이 글씨를 바르게 쓰는 데 도움을 주는 더 나은 방법이다. 그가 제안하는 연필을 바르게 잡는 방법은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 엄지손가락과 가운뎃손가락 끝을 맞잡아 둥글게 만든 후 가운뎃손가락의 손톱 부위와 집게손가락이 시작되는 뼈 옆 부위에 연필을 올린다. 둘째, 엄지손가락을 위로 들어서 직각으로 꺾은 후 연필을 위에서 지그시 눌러 준다. 셋째, 집게손가락도 직각 가깝게 꺾어서 엄지와 가운뎃손가락의 사이에 힘주지 않고 살짝 붙여만 준다. 넷째, 글씨 쓰는 손목이나 팔이 책상 모서리에 약간 걸치는 정도로 해서 글씨를 쓴다. 결론 유상언이 제안하는 연필 잡는 손가락의 모양과 위치에 따라 글씨를 쓰면, 연필에 가해지는 손가락의 힘이 균등하게 유지되어 편안한 자세로 글씨를 더 바르고 쉽게 쓸 수 있다.

      • Growth rates of metastatic brain tumors in nonsmall cell lung cancer

        <B>BACKGROUND.</B><P>The purpose of the study was to evaluate the growth kinetics of metastatic brain tumors during chemotherapy and to analyze growth rates and volumetric doubling time of metastatic brain tumors in patients with nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with tumor regrowth.</P><B>METHODS.</B><P>NSCLC patients with minimally symptomatic brain metastases who were not treated previously were enrolled. Serial magnetic resonance images (MRI) of 30 metastatic brain tumors in 19 patients were reviewed. Tumor growth rates and volumetric tumor doubling time of tumor regrowth were estimated. All patients were treated with front-line chemotherapy until disease progression.</P><B>RESULTS.</B><P>The median tumor growth rate was 12.10 mm<SUP>3</SUP>/day (interquartile range [IQR], 3.09-36.75). The volume percentage increase/day was 1.67 (IQR, 0.69-4.59). The median volumetric tumor doubling time was 58.48 days (IQR, 32.33-98.48).</P><B>CONCLUSIONS.</B><P>These findings may help optimize patient management during follow-up. Study results indicated that brain MRI should be obtained at a minimum of 2-month intervals to screen for metastatic brain tumors. Cancer 2008. © 2008 American Cancer Society.</P>

        Photohysical Properties of New Psoralen Derivatives:Psoralens Linked to Adenine through Polymethylene Chains

        The model compounds, 8-methoxypsoralen-CH2O(CH2)n-adenine (MOPCH2OCnAd, n=2, 3, 5, 6, 8, and 10) in which 5 position of 8-methoxypsoralen (8-MOP) is linked by various lengths of polymethylene bridge to N9 of adenine. UV absorption spectra are identical with the sum of MOPCH2OC3 and adenine absorption spectra. Solvent effects on the UV absorption and fluorescence emission spectra indicate that the lowest excited singlet state is the $(\pi${\rightarrow}$\pi*)$ state. The spectral characteristics of the fluorescence of MOPCH2OCnAd are strongly dependent upon the nature of the solvents. The fluorescence emission spectra in aprotic solvents are broad and structureless due to the excimer formation through the folded conformation accelerated by hydrophobic ${\pi}-{\pi}$ stacking interaction. Increasing polarity of the protic solvents leads to higher population of unfolded conformation stabilized through favorable solvation and H-bonding, and consequently to an increase in the fluorescence intensity, fluorescence lifetime, and a shift of fluorescence maximum to longer wavelengths. The decay characteristics of the fluorescence in polar protic solvents shows two exponential decays with the lifetimes of 0.6-0.8 and 1.6-1.9 ns in 5% ethanol/water, while MOPCH2OC3 shows 0.5 and 1.7 ns fluorescence lifetimes. The long-lived component of fluorescence can be attributed to the relaxed species (i.e., the species for which the solvent reorientation (or relaxation) has occurred), while the short-lived components can be associated with the unrelaxed, or only partially relaxed, species.

        Fluorination of UO2 and CeO2 Under the Atmosphere of HF and H2

        In this study, hydrofluorination of UO₂ and CeO₂ was carried out at 550℃ under the atmosphere of H₂ and HE Uranium dioxide was used as the main constituent of spent oxide fuel and CeO₂ used as a surrogate of transuranic oxides. Two hydrofluorination methods were presented: one is a direct hydrofluorination method in a molten fluoride salt and the other is that by gas solid reaction. In the former case, a fluoride mixture of 67% LiF-33% BeF₂ was used as carrier molten salt. It was thermodynamically confirmed that UO₂ was converted to UF₄ and CeO₂ to CeF₃. As results of the experiments, in the case of UO₂, fluorination took place in both systems. In the case of CeO₂, however, hydrofluorination in the molten fluoride salt occurred only slightly because of the extremely low solubility of HF and H₂ in the molten fluoride salt. Based on this result, when fluorinating minor actinide oxides in a spent oxide fuel, hydrofluorination by gas solid reaction was predicted to be far superior to that in molten fluoride salt.

      • The CharacterIzation of ornithine decarboxylase (CaOCD1) and ascorbate peroxidase (CaAPX1) genes in TMV-resistant hot pepper

        CaAPX1와 CaODC1의 발현 양상과 발현양을 조사하고 병저항성에 관련하여 각가의 유전자가 작용하는 기능을 알아보기 위해 담배에 형질전환체를 만들고 있는 중으로 현재 CaODC1이 형질전환체로 생산되었다. Capsicum annuum L. is infected by a number of viruses including tobacco mosaic virus (TMV). To study the defense-related genes induced against TMV in hot pepper, the leaves of pepper plant which is susceptible to P1.2 but resistant to P0 pathotype of TMV were inoculated with TMV-P0, and genes specifically up- or down-regulated during hypersensitive response were isolated by differential screening. Of those, two cDNA clones, CaODC1 and CaAPX1, were selected for further study. The CaODC1 cDNA clone putatively encoding a polypeptide of ornithine decaroboxylase and the CaAPX1 of ascorbate peroxidase were isolated. The full-length cDNAs, which is 1433 bp for CaODC1 and 972 bp for CaAPX1, contain the open reading frame of 436 and 250-amino aced residues, respectively. The response of these genes upon other pathogen infection was also examined by the bacterial pathogen (Xanthomonas compestris pv. vesicatoria race 3) inoculation. Both genes were induced in a hot pepper (C. annuum cv. ECW 20R) resistnat to this bacterial pathogen but not in a susceptible hot pepper (C. annuum cv. ECW). Especially, the transcript level of CaODC1 gene was increased rapidly in the early time after the inoculation. The result suggests possible role(s) for CaAPX1 and CaODC1 genes in plant defense against pathogens including a virus.

      • Clinical Analysis of Cytomegalovorus Antigenemia After Allogeneic Bone Marrow Transplantation and a Suggestion of a Guideline to Initiation of Therapy

        Objective: We retrospectively reviewed 56 cases of allogeneic bone marrow transplantation (BMT) recipients who were screened for the cytomegalovirus(CMV) infection by the antigenemia assay. The aims of this study were to analyze the incidence and the incidence and the clinical patterns of the CMV infection in BMT recipients and to suggest a guideline for therapy. Method: Retrospective analysis of 56 consecutive BMT recipients based on medical records from Mrach-1994 to August-1995. The antigenemia assay was done by using CMV-VUE kit(INCSTAR, USA). Manipulation of data was done by epilnfo 6.02(CDC, USA, 1994) Results: 1. The underlying diseases were acute lymphocytic leukemia(6), acute myelogenous leukemia(27), Chronic lymphocytic leukemia(13), and severe aplastic anemia(10). The male to female ratio was 27 to 29. 2. Thirty out of 56 patients(53.5%) were antigenemia positive and 10 patients were symptomatic. The mortality rate in antigenemia positive patients was 23.3%(7/30), while those without antigenemia was 7.7%(2/26). The range of detection-date was between the 30th-86th day and majority of cases were datected on the 30th day after BMT. 3. In patients with acute graft versus host disease, the risk of antigen positivity was high than in those without thus complication(Odd ratio 5.76, 95% confidence interval 1.53-22.73). 4. Among 14 patients who received gancicovir, 4 patients died(28.6%). In 16 patients who did not receive ganciclovir despite of antigenemia, 3 patients died(18.8%), but most of these patients showed low titer of antigenemia or asymptoatic. 5. Maximum number of antigen-positive cells and duration of antigenemia were the main influential factor for survival according to the covariate analysis. 6. When the number of antigen-positive cells was more than4/50,000 leukocytes, the mortality was highest. Hence, We recommend that antigen-positive cells ≥4/50.000 leukocytes could be the starting point of ganciclovir therapy. Conclusion: In our opinion, CMV antigenemia seems to affect the outcome of BMT recipients and more than 4/50,000 antigen-positive cells can be a acceptable guideline to initiate treatment in Korea.
