Electrophysiological effects of ammonia was studied in the isolated superfused sinus node and atrial muscle cells of the rabbit heart. No significant changes were observed in the overshoot potential (05), maximum diastolic potential (MDP), and action potential amplitude (APA) of the sinus node cells following superfusion with 3.0 mM ammonia, fifty times upper limit of the normal human plasma level. However the action potential duration (APD) of sinus node cells were significantly prolonged after superfusion with 0.6 mM ammonia for 20 min or with 1.2 and 3.0 mM ammonia for 5 minutes. Ammonia in all the concentrations tested decreased the rate of spontaneous firing (RSF) from the sinus node cells. After superfusion of sinus node cells with 0.3 mM ammonia for 20 min, the RSF significantly decreased from 20 min to 25 min after onset of superfusion while a significant decrement in the RSF was observed from 7 min to 30 min following superfusion with 3.0 mM ammonia for S min. On the other hand, the effects of ammonia on the action potential of the rabbit atrial muscle cell were much similar to those on pacemaker cells except that the atrial cell was generally less sensitive to ammonia. The results suggest that ammonia may cause changes in the action potential of the rabbit cardiac cells by the direct action, and that the cardiac effects of ammonia are generally opposite to those of glycine.
수중 수소 감지를 위한 MISFET 형 센서제작과 그 특성

In this work, Pd/Pt gate MISFET sensor using Pd membrane was fabricated to detect the hydrogen in DI water. A differential pair-type was used to minimize the intrinsic voltage drift of the MISFET. To avoid hydrogen induced drift of the sensor, the silicon dioxide/silicon nitride double layer was used as the gate insulator of the FET`s. In order to eliminate the blister formation on the surface of the hydrogen sensing gate metal, Pd/Pt double metal layer was deposited on the gate insulator. For this type of application sensors need to be isolated from the DI water, and a Pd membrane was used to separate the sensor from the DI water. The output voltage change due to the variation of hydrogen concentration is linear from 100ppm to 500 ppm.
비기하학적 현대건축의 초월론적 추상 - 들뢰즈의 사유를 중심으로 -

Non-geometric shapes in contemporary architecture was explained from the transcendental schema of Deleuze with his abstraction theory. In this explanation, the intensity, the movement and change and the sublime were suggested as the expressional elements of the transcendental abstraction related with the artistic sensation of architecture. First, the intensity as a power of sensation which acts to the body before the recognition of brain is mainly expressed with the movement of curved lines of architectural space. Second, the movement of change is expressed as the de-centralized and de-formalized nomadic curve as the line in architectural ‘smooth space’ which has unrestrained orientations. Third, the sublime is expressed in the hugeness, enormousness or sometimes uncanny in void space, which could be contradictively mixed with senses of displeasure and pleasure. The sublime feelings in architecture can be emerging by rationally overcoming the unpleasant senses of contradictive spaces in architecture or urban fabric. This study has explained those expressional elements with the architectural works of Steven Holl, Frank Gehry and Zaha Hadid.
유기적 특성을 활용한 워터프론트 디자인 요소에 관한 연구

본 연구는 수변공간의 친환경적 개발 가능성을 모색하는데 목표를 두고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 근대의 기계론적 가치관에 대하여, 최근 과학 분야에서 새로운 발전 또는 친환경적 패러다임으로 등장한 유기적 세계관의 특징에 주목하여 워터프론트의 개발 방향성을 총체성ㆍ복합성ㆍ역동성ㆍ상보성 등 4가지로 설정하였다. 한편 구체적인 워터프론트 디자인 요소를 도시ㆍ건축의 장소적, 의장적, 시각적 특성을 통하여 검토하였다. 그리고 이를 토대로 친환경적 수변공간의 유기적 개발 방향성과 구체적 디자인 요소간의 상관관계 및 사례 제시를 통하여 유기적 특성을 활용한 워터프론트 디자인 요소를 제시하였다. This study is aiming at examining the possibilities to develop eco-friendly waterfront, and discusses characteristics of the organic worldview which has been emerged as new development or eco-friendly paradigm in recent science against the mechanical worldview of modem times. The orientation of waterfront development is characterized as unity, diversity, dynamics and mutuality. In addition, I examined the factors for waterfront design according to the locational, decorativeand visual properties of urbanㆍarchitecture to find out concrete factors of its design. This study suggests the factors for waterfront design making use of organic properties, by examining the orientation for organic development of eco-friendly waterside environment and showing correlation between the factors of specific design, and their examples.

Walter Benjamin suggested ‘porosity’ as an important factor for making urban life and space when he studied and read european cities especially Napoli. Though the porosity he suggested was a little primitive and “barbarous”, it becomes an important concept to make urban life inhabitable and urban space fertile. We studied a theoretical background for the application of porosity to urban architecture and experimentally probed a readability of the city Busan with it. First, we studied on reading methodology of ‘image’, ‘trace’ and ‘body’ as a basic theory to read the ‘metropolis’. With this background we could establish 4 characteristics of urban porosity, ambiguities of “inside and outside”, “old and new”, “public and private”, and “improvision and theatericality”. With this concept of Benjamin’s porosity we could read and analyse that of Busan Metropolis.
