        Design of Fuzzy Neural Network Guidance Law Based on Takagi-Sugeno for UAV

        Guidance of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in three-dimensional space was studied in this paper. We designed a three-dimensional fuzzy neural network guidance law with the fuzzy rules of Takagi-Sugeno that based on proportional guidance principle and put the characteristics of the fuzzy neural network control into use. We decomposed the 3-D tracking trajectory into two two-dimensional planes and guided respectively, and took the influence of target mobility for guidance trajectory into consider. The design of guidance law was using the principle of proportional guidance, based on the Takagi-Sugeno type fuzzy inference, we took horizontal line of approaching velocity of missile-to-target, vertical line of sight angle velocity and sight angle velocity as inputs of fuzzy neural network, and yaw and pitch acceleration commands of UAV are the outputs, then we simulated the seeker tracking process against the target doing uniform motion in a straight line, curve movement and uniform circular motion respectively for UAV. Verified by simulation in this paper, the effect of the design of guidance law is ideal, and the proposed law is superior to the others and has good effect in response to the maneuvering target, and guidance trajectory is smoother.

        Prognostic significance of lymphovascular space invasion in patients with endometrioid endometrial cancer: a retrospective study from a single center

        Objective: This study aims to analyze factors associated with lymphovascular space invasion (LVSI) and evaluate the prognostic significance of LVSI in Chinese endometrioid endometrial cancer (EEC) patients. Methods: Five-hundred eighty-four EEC patients undergoing surgery in our center from 2006 to 2016 were selected for analysis. Univariate analysis and multivariate logistic regression were used to examine relevant factors of LVSI. To evaluate the prognostic role of LVSI, survival analyses were conducted. In survival analyses, both multivariate Cox regression and propensity score matching were used to control the confounders. Results: The incidence of LVSI was 12.16% (71/584). Diabetes history (p=0.021), lymph node metastasis (p=0.005), deep myometrial invasion (p<0.001) and negative PR expression (p=0.007) were independently associated with LVSI. Both Kaplan-Meier method and univariate Cox regressions showed LVSI negative and positive cases had similar tumor-specific survival (TSS) and disease-free survival (DFS). After adjusting for the influence of adjuvant therapy and other clinicopathological factors with multivariate Cox regressions, LVSI still could not bring additional survival risk to the patients (p=0.280 and p=0.650 for TSS and DFS, respectively). This result was verified by Kaplan-Meier survival analyses after propensity score matching (p=0.234 and p=0.765 for TSS and DFS, respectively). Conclusion: LVSI does not significantly compromise the survival outcome of Chinese EEC patients.

      • Series-connected PV MVDC Converter for Large Scale PV System

        This paper presents a novel series-connected PV MVDC converter for large scale PV plant. By analyzing the characteristic of the series-connection PV system, the topology of MVDC converter based on modular structure of input parallel and output series (IPOS) is presented. A novel reconfigurable topology is proposed for the module of the converter. By regulating of switches duty cycle, the module can be reconfigured to realize step-up or step-down mode. With the control strategy and reconfigurable module topology, the series-connected PV MVDC converter achieves wide input voltage range to adapt PV array characteristic and wide output voltage range to adapt to series-connection system requirement with a high efficiency. 5kV/80kW dc-dc module is developed. Series-connected PV converter with modules in IPOS connection is built in simulation environment. The simulation result and experiment result are presented in the paper.

        High-Temperature Deformation Characteristics and Constitutive Model of an Ultrahigh Strength Steel

        The high-temperature deformation characteristics of an ultrahigh strength steel is studied by hot compression tests under thedeformation temperatures of 920–1160 °C and strain rates of 0.01–10 s−1. By employing the metalloscope and transmissionelectron microscope, the influences of deformation parameters (deformation temperature and strain rate) upon microstructureevolution are analyzed in detail. Results show that the hot deformation activation energy of the studied steel is estimated as332.3 kJ/mol. The microstructure presents the typical dynamic recrystallization (DRX) features, and the DRX behaviorsare mainly dominated by the discontinuous DRX mechanism under different deformation parameters. Under the low strainrate or the high deformation temperature, the continuous DRX behavior caused by the rotation of subgrains takes place. Forforecasting the deformation stress of the studied steel, a physically-based constitutive model is constructed by combiningdislocation density theory and DRX kinetics. The reproduced deformation stresses well close to the measured data indicatesthat the developed physically-based constitutive model enjoys a preferred prediction ability to forecast the high-temperaturedeformation behaviors for the studied steel.

        A novel reliability analysis method based on Gaussian process classification for structures with discontinuous response

        Reliability analysis techniques combining with various surrogate models have attracted increasing attention because of their accuracy and great efficiency. However, they primarily focus on the structures with continuous response, while very rare researches on the reliability analysis for structures with discontinuous response are carried out. Furthermore, existing adaptive reliability analysis methods based on importance sampling (IS) still have some intractable defects when dealing with small failure probability, and there is no related research on reliability analysis for structures involving discontinuous response and small failure probability. Therefore, this paper proposes a novel reliability analysis method called AGPC-IS for such structures, which combines adaptive Gaussian process classification (GPC) and adaptive-kernel-density-estimation-based IS. In AGPC-IS, an efficient adaptive strategy for design of experiments (DoE), taking into consideration the classification uncertainty, the sampling uniformity and the regional classification accuracy improvement, is developed with the purpose of improving the accuracy of Gaussian process classifier. The adaptive kernel density estimation is introduced for constructing the quasi-optimal density function of IS. In addition, a novel and more precise stopping criterion is also developed from the perspective of the stability of failure probability estimation. The efficiency, superiority and practicability of AGPC-IS are verified by three examples.

        Performances of Concrete Columns with Modular UHPC Permanent Formworks Under Axial Load

        This research proposed the modular prefabricated permanent formwork system made of ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC). Two kinds of modular formwork shapes were designed: the flat formwork and the ribbed. The experimental investigation on the axial compression performance of the composite columns that consist of the normal strength concrete (NSC) core and the modular UHPC permanent formwork was demonstrated. Compared with the flat formwork, the ribbed formwork exhibited better bonding with the NSC core. As observed from the test results, the composite column with the ribbed formwork presented a similar axial behavior as the NSC column with a slight improvement in ultimate loads. Therefore, the modular UHPC ribbed permanent formwork could be regarded as the additional cover to the conventional NSC column. In addition, the finite element analysis (FEA) model was also developed to simulate the composite columns numerically. The predicted capacities agreed with the experimental results, which validated the numerical models. The crack pattern estimated by the FEA model revealed that the interaction between the permanent formwork and the inner concrete introduced many tiny cracks to the concrete core. However, as protected by the UHPC permanent formwork, the overall durability of the composite columns can still be enhanced.

        Utilization of Completely Recycled Fine Aggregate for Preparation of Lightweight Concrete Partition Panels

        To reduce the cost of lightweight concrete (LWC) partition panels and to address recycling concrete waste, this work utilized completely recycled fine aggregate (CRFA) to replace the natural fine aggregate and ceramsite in the preparation of LWC and LWC partition panels. To this end, an autoclave-free curing process and an air-entraining agent were used to prepare the CRFA-LWC. The workability, compressive strength, drying shrinkage, and pore structure of the CRFA-LWC and the performance of the CRFA-LWC partition panels were then investigated. The results show that the optimal ratio of the CRFA to the cement is 2.2 for the lightweight concrete, and the optimal panel cross section is a rounded rectangular one. All the pores in the CRFA-LWC have a diameter of smaller than 0.17 mm, and the diameter of 89% of them is less than 0.05 mm. In order to satisfy the drying shrinkage requirements stipulated by Chinese code JC/T 169-2016, the CRFA-LWC should be cured for at least 10 days. The economic analysis concludes that the material cost of CRFA-LWC is 40% lower than that of the autoclaved ceramsite concrete. In addition, utilizing CRFA in lightweight concrete can ease the shortage of natural aggregate.
