Purpose: This study evaluated the value of contrast-enhanced ultrasonography (CEUS) in the ultrasound-guided microwave ablation (MWA) treatment of symptomatic focal uterine adenomyosis. Methods: This retrospective study was conducted between March 2020 and January 2023, enrolling 52 patients with symptomatic focal uterine adenomyosis who had undergone MWA. All patients were examined with CEUS before and after MWA. The non-perfused volume (NPV) was compared between CEUS and dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCEMRI) following ablation. Therapeutic efficacy and safety were evaluated at 3-, 6-, and 12-month follow-ups. Additionally, this study explored the correlations between pre-treatment CEUS features and a volume reduction ratio indicating sufficient ablation, defined as 50% or more at the 3-month follow-up.Results: No significant differences in NPV were noted between CEUS and DCE-MRI immediately after MWA and during follow-up (all P>0.05). At the 3-month follow-up, the median VRRs for the uterus and adenomyosis were 33.2% and 63.9%, respectively. Sufficient ablation was achieved in 69.2% (36/52) of adenomyosis cases, while partial ablation was observed in the remaining 30.8% (16/52). The identification of non-enhancing areas on pre-treatment CEUS was associated with sufficient ablation (P=0.016). At the 12-month follow-up, significant decreases were observed in both the uterine and adenomyosis volumes (all P<0.001). Dysmenorrhea and menorrhagia were significantly alleviated at 12 months, and no major complications were encountered. Conclusion: CEUS can be used to evaluate the ablation zone of focal adenomyosis that has been treated with MWA, similarly to DCE-MRI. The identification of non-enhancing areas on pretreatment CEUS indicates satisfactory treatment outcomes. This paper investigates a control of track based on Archimedes spiral. The objective is to control UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) circled to the target under the preset track and in a certain time interval. For the circumstance of the known location of start point and target point of UAV, we put forward a control method of angular velocity, with fixed velocity and trajectory of UAV. And in this control method, based on the nature of the Archimedes spiral, the time of UAV from the start point to the target point can be accurately calculated.

Although radiation therapy is a cornerstone of modern management of malignancies, various side effects are inevitably linked to abdominal and pelvic cancer after radiotherapy. Radiation-mediated gastrointestinal (GI) toxicity impairs the life quality of cancer survivors and even shortens their lifespan. Hydrogen has been shown to protect against tissue injuries caused by oxidative stress and excessive inflammation, but its effect on radiation-induced intestinal injury was previously unknown. In the present study, we found that oral gavage with hydrogen-water increased the survival rate and body weight of mice exposed to total abdominal irradiation (TAI); oral gavage with hydrogen-water was also associated with an improvement in GI tract function and the epithelial integrity of the small intestine. Mechanistically, microarray analysis revealed that hydrogen-water administration upregulated miR-1968-5p levels, thus resulting in parallel downregulation of MyD88 expression in the small intestine after TAI exposure. Additionally, high-throughput sequencing showed that hydrogen-water oral gavage resulted in retention of the TAI-shifted intestinal bacterial composition in mice. Collectively, our findings suggested that hydrogen-water might be used as a potential therapeutic to alleviate intestinal injury induced by radiotherapy for abdominal and pelvic cancer in preclinical settings.

Au nanoparticles anchored on core–shell α-Fe2O3@SnO2 nanospindles were successfully constructed through hydrothermal synthesis process and used for fabricating a novel nonenzymatic dopamine (DA) sensor. The structure and morphology of the Au/α-Fe2O3@SnO2 trilaminar nanohybrid film were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). The electrochemical properties of the sensor were investigated by cyclic voltammetry and amperometry. The experimental results suggest that the composites have excellent catalytic property toward DA with a wide linear range from 0.5 μM to 0.47 mM, a low detection limit of 0.17 μM (S/N = 3) and high sensitivity of 397.1 μA mM -1 cm -2. In addition, the sensor exhibits long-term stability, good reproducibility and anti-interference.

A distributed high-speed data acquisition and monitoring system for the RF negative ion source at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) is developed, which consists of data acquisition, data forwarding and data processing. Firstly, the data acquisition modules sample physical signals at high speed and upload the sampling data with corresponding absolute-time labels over UDP, which builds the time correlation among different signals. And a special data packet format is proposed for the data upload, which is convenient for packing or parsing a fixed-length packet, especially when the span of the time labels in a packet crosses an absolute second. The data forwarding modules then receive the UDP messages and distribute their data packets to the real-time display module and the data storage modules by PUB/SUB-pattern message queue of ZeroMQ. As for the data storage, a scheme combining the file server and MySQL database is adopted to increase the storage rate and facilitate the data query. The test results show that the loss rate of the data packets is within the range of 0e5% and the storage rate is higher than 20 Mbps, both acceptable for the HUST RF negative ion source
Hot Electron Field Emission <i>via</i> Individually Transistor-Ballasted Carbon Nanotube Arrays

<P>We present electronically controlled field emission characteristics of arrays of individually ballasted carbon nanotubes synthesized by plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition on silicon-on-insulator substrates. By adjusting the source–drain potential we have demonstrated the ability to controllable limit the emission current density by more than 1 order of magnitude. Dynamic control over both the turn-on electric field and field enhancement factor have been noted. A hot electron model is presented. The ballasted nanotubes are populated with hot electrons due to the highly crystalline Si channel and the high local electric field at the nanotube base. This positively shifts the Fermi level and results in a broad energy distribution about this mean, compared to the narrow spread, lower energy thermalized electron population in standard metallic emitters. The proposed vertically aligned carbon nanotube field-emitting electron source offers a viable platform for X-ray emitters and displays applications that require accurate and highly stable control over the emission characteristics.</P><P><B>Graphic Abstract</B> <IMG SRC='http://pubs.acs.org/appl/literatum/publisher/achs/journals/content/ancac3/2012/ancac3.2012.6.issue-4/nn300111t/production/images/medium/nn-2012-00111t_0006.gif'></P>
A Distributed Coverage Algorithm for Multi-UAV with Average Voronoi Partition
Sai Chen,Chaoyong Li,Shuo Zhuo 제어로봇시스템학회 2017 제어로봇시스템학회 국제학술대회 논문집 Vol.2017 No.10
In this paper, we propose a distributed coverage algorithm for a group of UAVs to cover a convex region with average Voronoi partition which aims to ensure the areas of all Voronoi partitions are identical. The proposed algorithm iteratively updates the Voronoi partition through local information exchange with neighbors, and then moves along the computed direction. Different from existing results, the proposed algorithm could make the area difference infinitely small in theory to achieve indeed average area coverage. Simulation results are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

As renewable and sustainable energy, solar energy and wind energy have advantages in reducing the pollution sources. The paper presents a hybrid system which includes the solar cell and the wind generator. HOMER provides a platform to design and simulate the power system and then to choose the optimization results. This paper simulates with the HOMER and performs a pre-feasibility study of stand-alone hybrid energy systems for applications in a lab.
