      • UPF Tracking Method Based on Color and SIFT Features Adaptive Fusion

        Based on the problems that target appears rotation and noise interference in complex environment, an improved multi-feature adaptive fusion tracking method is proposed. The algorithm adopts unscented Kalman particle filter (UPF) to update the measurement information in the sample particles, better overcome the problem of the particle weight degradation. In addition, in order to overcome the defects of additive and multiplicative fusion algorithm in the feature selection, the multiple adaptive fusion characteristics method that target color distribution and scale invariance feature (SIFT) are used as complementary information. Experimental results show that the proposed method is superior to the traditional methods which are based on fixed weight or standard particle filter.

        Monolayer Molybdenum Disulfide Transistors with Single-Atom-Thick Gates

        <P>Two-dimensional transition-metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) are unique candidates for the development of next-generation electronic devices. However, the large contact resistance between metal and the monolayer TMDs have significantly limited the devices’ performance. Also, the integration of ultrathin high-<I>k</I> dielectric layers with TMDs remains difficult due to the lack of dangling bonds on the surface of TMDs. We present monolayer molybdenum disulfide field-effect transistors with bottom local gates consisting of monolayer graphene. The atomic-level thickness and surface roughness of graphene facilitate the growth of high-quality ultrathin HfO<SUB>2</SUB> and suppress gate leakage. Strong displacement fields above 8 V/nm can be applied using a single graphene gate to electrostatically dope the MoS<SUB>2</SUB>, which reduces the contact resistances between Ni and monolayer MoS<SUB>2</SUB> to 2.3 kΩ·μm at low gate voltages. The devices exhibit excellent switching characteristics including a near-ideal subthreshold slope of 64 millivolts per decade, low threshold voltage (∼0.5 V), high channel conductance (>100 μS/μm), and low hysteresis. Scaled devices with 50 and 14 nm channels as well as ultrathin (5 nm) gate dielectrics show effective immunity to short-channel effects. The device fabricated on flexible polymeric substrate also exhibits high performance and has a fully transparent channel region that is desirable in optical-related studies and practical applications.</P> [FIG OMISSION]</BR>

        Performances of Concrete Columns with Modular UHPC Permanent Formworks Under Axial Load

        This research proposed the modular prefabricated permanent formwork system made of ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC). Two kinds of modular formwork shapes were designed: the flat formwork and the ribbed. The experimental investigation on the axial compression performance of the composite columns that consist of the normal strength concrete (NSC) core and the modular UHPC permanent formwork was demonstrated. Compared with the flat formwork, the ribbed formwork exhibited better bonding with the NSC core. As observed from the test results, the composite column with the ribbed formwork presented a similar axial behavior as the NSC column with a slight improvement in ultimate loads. Therefore, the modular UHPC ribbed permanent formwork could be regarded as the additional cover to the conventional NSC column. In addition, the finite element analysis (FEA) model was also developed to simulate the composite columns numerically. The predicted capacities agreed with the experimental results, which validated the numerical models. The crack pattern estimated by the FEA model revealed that the interaction between the permanent formwork and the inner concrete introduced many tiny cracks to the concrete core. However, as protected by the UHPC permanent formwork, the overall durability of the composite columns can still be enhanced.

        In vitro antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant activities of the ethanol extract of Mentha piperita L.

        The objective of this study is to investigate the antiviral, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant effects of the ethanol extract of Mentha piperita L. leaves (MPE). M. piperita L. leaves were extracted by reflux with ethanol. Total phenolic acid and total flavonoid content were determined. The antiviral activity of MPE against the respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) and the anti-inflammatory activity were evaluated in vitro. The levels of key preinflammatory mediators and cytokines including nitric oxide (NO), tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-a), interleukin (IL)-6, and prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) were determined. The antioxidant activities were also evaluated using a colorimetry method. MPE contained high levels of phenolic acid and flavonoid, showed antiviral activity against RSV with a high selectivity index, and significantly decreased the production of NO, TNF-a, IL-6, and PGE2 in lipopolysaccharide-stimulated RAW 264.7 cells. Meanwhile, MPE showed potential free-radical scavenging activities. These results indicate that Mentha piperita L. might be a good source of medicinal plants.

        三一教作为一个由士人团体发展而来的民间教派,不同于其他以佛、道为主要教义基础的罗教、真空教等,具有鲜明的“儒教本位”特点。其教主林兆恩的理论中,最令人注目的部分就是以儒教统摄儒、释、道三教,并且将三教按次序划分,统摄到一种“立本-入门-极则”的秩序当中去。林兆恩曾经借其对于历史的评述来对“三教合一”进行阐发,他在论述中所体现的历史观折射出了他独特的“三教归儒”理论,并且一定程度上突破了儒教传统的崇古特点,为其教派发展奠定了坚定的理论基础。 As a folk sect developed by a group of scholars, the “Three-in-One” differs from other sects such as the Luozu Religion and the Vacuum Religion, whose main doctrines are based on Buddhism and Taoism, with a distinctive “Confucianism-based” character. The most striking part of the theory of its founder, Lin Zhaoen, is that he uses Confucianism to unify Confucianism, Buddhism, and Taoism, and divides the three religions into an order of establishment, initiation, and extreme rule. What is striking is that Lin Zhaoen has used his historical commentary to expound on the “three religions in one”. The historical perspective embodied in his commentary reflects his unique theory of “three religions in Confucianism”, and to a certain extent, he has broken through the traditional Confucianism of reverence for the past, laying a firm theoretical foundation for the development of his sect.

        Two birds with one stone: The route from waste printed circuit board electronic trash to multifunctional biomimetic slippery liquid-infused coating

        Finding appropriate usage of waste printed circuit board (WPCB), a kind of electronic trash, is an importanttask from background of environment protection and waste management. Due to the intrinsic highhindrance barrier capability, recycled epoxy resin in rich source from WPCB gives opportunity for corrosionprotection of metals based on Two birds with one stone ideology. One stone in this ideology is to applywaste as resource, and two birds respectively indicate using PCB waste as valuable material and inhibitingmetal corrosion. In this paper, by combining biomimetics strategy, we adopt a three-step methodincluding anodic oxidation, hydrophobic treatment and infusion of composite containing epoxy resinfrom WPCB and dimethyl silicone oil to finally form WPCB based slippery liquid-infused porous surface(W-LIS). Morphology, composition, wettability and electrochemical properties are characterized bysophisticated techniques. Adding recycled hydrophobic/oleophilic epoxy resin from WPCB into oil phasecan effectively increase the barrier effect and raise anticorrosion ability. Moreover, W-LIS delivers antifreezingadhesion and biofouling inhibition property, which is obviously superior to LIS and lotus inspiredsuperhydrophobic (SHS) coating. The various excellent performances of W-LIS indicate epoxy resin fromwaste printed circuit board can act a versatile role in field of metal corrosion prevention.

        The roles of interleukin-17A in risk stratification and prognosis of patients with sepsis-associated acute kidney injury

        Background: The aim of this study was to evaluate the roles of interleukin (IL)-17A in risk stratification and prognosis of patients with sepsis-associated acute kidney injury (SAKI). Methods: We enrolled 146 sepsis patients (84 non-SAKI and 62 SAKI patients) admitted to the emergency department from November 2020 to November 2021. Patients with SAKI were differentiated based on the severity of acute kidney injury. All clinical parameters were evaluated upon admission before administering antibiotic treatment. Inflammatory cytokines were assessed using flow cytometry and the Pylon 3D automated immunoassay system (ET Healthcare). In addition, a receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was utilized to determine the prognostic values of IL-17A in SAKI. Results: The levels of creatinine, IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-17A, tumor necrosis factor alpha, C-reactive protein, and procalcitonin (PCT) were significantly higher in the SAKI group than in the non-SAKI group (p < 0.05). The level of IL-17A revealed significant differences among stages 1, 2, and 3 in SAKI patients (p < 0.05). The mean levels of PCT, IL-4, and IL-17A were significantly higher in the non-survival group than in the survival group in SAKI patients (p < 0.05). In addition, the area under the ROC curve of IL-17A was 0.811. Moreover, the IL-17A cutoff for differentiating survivors from non-survivors was 4.7 pg/mL, of which the sensitivity and specificity were 77.4% and 71.0%, respectively. Conclusion: Elevated levels of IL-17A could predict that SAKI patients are significantly prone to worsening kidney injury with higher mortality. The usefulness of IL-17A in treating SAKI requires further research.

      • Research on Security Transmission of Perceptual Hash Values Based on ECC and Digital Watermarking

        In this paper, a secure method of transmitting perceptual hash is proposed based on error correcting codes (ECC) and digital watermarking, aiming at the fact that perceptual hash string used in audio authentication is easy to alter after been attacked in transmission and the need of extra channel. In this method we embed the binary perceptual hash values into the compressed audio as a digital watermark so that authentication data is dispersed. An ECC is used to pre-process perceptual hash sequence to ensure that speech signal with watermarking can be extracted watermarking information (the perceptual hash values) after been attacked. The experimental result illustrate that this method embeds information without influencing on the content. It is robust to noise and can prevent from common attack. At the same time, this method ensures the hearing transparency of audio perceptual content, the high efficiency of watermark extraction and the efficiency and security of algorithm.

        Research on the selective multi-stage two point incremental forming based on the forming angle

        For sheet metal parts with the vertical-wall partially and irregularly distributed on the sides (VWPIS) that contains both the difficult-form-surface (i.e., vertical-wall) with large forming angle and easy-to-form surface (i.e., gently tilted surface) with small forming angle, a selective multi-stage two point incremental forming (SMTPIF) on the basis of the forming angle was proposed. This SMTPIF method performs multi-stage forming only for the difficult-formsurface and gives different forming strategies and forming parameters to the different surface regions according to the forming angle. The algorithms for surface zoning, generation of the small forming angle surface for vertical-wall, generation of one-stage forming model by combining the easy-form-surface and small forming angle surface were presented. Meanwhile, the algorithm for the generation of the toolpath that is suitable to the SMTPIF was also given. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithm and the SMTPIF was verified by using the case studies, the finite element analysis, and the forming experiments. The results indicate that the SMTPIF can fabricate the VWPIS with short forming time and no sinking phenomenon.
