      • ANTECEDENTS AND CONSEQUENCES OF PERCEIVED RISK THROUGH A WEBSITE RETAILER : A CROSS-CULTURAL APPROACH

Lili Zheng 글로벌지식마케팅경영학회 2014 Global Marketing Conference Vol.2014 No.4

Perceived risk associated with online shopping has a critical effect on consumer decision making. Cultural values provide a good theoretical basis for understanding perceived risk. Given the rapid globalization of online shopping, an understanding of the mechanism of perceived online shopping risk and consumer repurchase intention in different cultures is crucial. The research question furnishing the main impetus for this study is: What are the different effects of various determinants of perceived risk in the context of online clothing shopping. We will study this question through the lens of Chinese and French cultural differences. A total of 195 and 221 questionnaires used for the analysis were collected from Chinese and French respondents respectively. Structural equation models with the maximum likelihood estimation method were employed to test all the hypothesized relationships. The research produced the following findings. Privacy concerns, security protection, and website retailer reputation have different effects (too large) on consumer perception of non-personal risk and personal risk as a result of cultural differences. Additionally, for both the Chinese and French samples, non-personal perceived risk significantly effects intention to repurchase. We found personal perceived risk has a significant effect only on Chinese consumer intention to repurchase.

      • EXTENDING THE EXPECTATION-CONFIRMATION MODEL OF IS CONTINUANCE: THE ROLE OF EMOTIONS IN USERS’ CONTINUANCE INTENTION TOWARDS MOBILE GAMING APPLICATIONS

Lili Zheng 글로벌지식마케팅경영학회 2018 Global Marketing Conference Vol.2018 No.07

The long-term development of a mobile gaming application (app) depends on its continued use by its users. The aim of this study is to investigate the determinants of a mobile gaming app’s continuance intention among users. The expectation-confirmation model of IS continuance was used as the basic framework, to which bi-dimensional consumption emotions were added to help better explain satisfaction judgment and continuance intention in the context of mobile gaming app use. To test the expanded IS continuance model, we conducted an online survey among mobile gaming app users; 271 valid responses were collected. The data were analyzed using structural equation models (SEM). The effects of positive emotions (PE) and negative emotions (NE) were examined, respectively, in model 1 and model 2. Competing models (models 3, 4 and 5) were also examined in order to compare the proposed models. Both positive and negative emotions have a significant effect on the satisfaction of mobile gaming app users and their continued usage intention, a finding that represents an important contribution to the extension of technology continuance theory. Comparison with the IS continuance model shows that the new model can explain significantly more variance in continuance intention. This study presents two extensions to the expectation-confirmation model of IS continuance. First, this paper presents and tests a theoretical model, derived from the IS continuance model, in which emotions play an important role in measuring customer satisfaction and subsequent long-term behavioral intention. The proposed model can be used to predict the satisfaction and continuance intention of situations in which a consumer’s emotional expectations and reactions are a core part of the consumption experience. Second, we ground the expectation-confirmation model of IS continuance in the context of mobile gaming apps, which involves both utilitarian (cognitive) and hedonic (affective) components. This study offers insight into the role of emotions in forming continuance intentions toward mobile gaming app use in China, a topic that has not previously been investigated. The findings have important implications for practice in the mobile gaming app sector. Special attention should be given to users’ consumption emotions, since emotions have been found to be strongly related to satisfaction and subsequent continued usage intention. For instance, mobile games firms should make efforts to develop strategies to enhance game players’ positive emotions (such as feeling joyful, interested, cheerful, excited, active, attentive) during the games because game players’ emotional fulfillment leads to satisfaction and minimizes negative emotions (such as feeling distressed, ashamed, afraid, nervous, upset or lonely); such negative emotions have been shown to have a direct and strong effect on satisfaction as well as an indirect effect continuance intention via satisfaction.

      • HOW NON-PROFIT ART WEBSITES IMPROVE THEIR VISIBILITY?

Lili Zheng 글로벌지식마케팅경영학회 2016 Global Marketing Conference Vol.2016 No.7

Lots of companies and private persons struggle to attract attention to their products, services or artistic activity on the internet. The concept of ROI has been modified. It’ll not be profit understood by gain in cash, but rather popularity increase like growing fan base, more people devoted to a specific case, stronger impact on the Internet community. Academic literature focuses mainly on applying various online marketing techniques to help companies establish their online presence and increase visibility. There are studies that provide entrepreneurs and business owners with ideas on how to attract more visitors to their websites and improve their search engine ranking. However, there is still a gap in academic literature when it comes to promoting non- profit art websites. In-depth interviews with 7 participants were performed to analyze their impressions on the web comic. 119 Internet users participated in the survey designed to get insights on their perceptions of web comics in order to identify areas for improvement. On the basis of the research carried out on the topic of a website visibility, this paper provides an insight into the possible causes of the problems of web comic with visibility. They lay within three areas related to each other: The quality of content, the website and promotional activities.

Optical temperature sensing properties of Yb3+/Tm3+ co-doped NaLuF4 crystals

        Lili Tong,Xiangping Li,Ruinian Hua,Lihong Cheng,Jiashi Sun,Jinsu Zhang,Sai Xu,Hui Zheng,Yanqiu Zhang,Baojiu Chen 한국물리학회 2017 Current Applied Physics Vol.17 No.7

Yb3þ/Tm3þ and Yb3þ/Er3þ co-doped NaLuF4 crystals were synthesized by a facile hydrothermal method. The optical temperature sensing properties of Tm3þ based upon its two thermally coupled energy levels 3F2, 3 and 3H4 were systematically investigated by means of fluorescence intensity ratio (FIR) technique. The 980 nm laser-induced thermal effect on Tm3þ doped NaLuF4 crystals was studied by using Er3þ doped sample as thermal probe. The temperature sensitivity of Tm3þ in NaLuF4: Yb3þ/Tm3þ crystals shows a nonlinear dependence on temperature, and the maximum value is about 0.00045 K『1 at 600 K. The accuracy and reliability of the optical thermometry based on Tm3þ in NaLuF4: Yb3þ/Tm3þ crystals has been checked by using Yb3þ/Er3þ co-doped sample as temperature sensing unit. The results demonstrate that NaLuF4: Yb3þ/Tm3þ crystals have good sensing stability and may have potential application for the optical thermometry.

      • Voluntary running depreciates the requirement of Ca2+-stimulated cAMP signaling in synaptic potentiation and memory formation

        Zheng, Fei,Zhang, Ming,Ding, Qi,Sethna, Ferzin,Yan, Lily,Moon, Changjong,Yang, Miyoung,Wang, Hongbing Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press 2016 Learning & Memory Vol.23 No.8

<P>Mental health and cognitive functions are influenced by both genetic and environmental factors. Although having active lifestyle with physical exercise improves learning and memory, how it interacts with the specific key molecular regulators of synaptic plasticity is largely unknown. Here, we examined the effects of voluntary running on long-term potentiation (LTP) and memory formation in mice lacking type 1 adenylyl cyclase (AC1), a neurospecific synaptic enzyme that contributes to Ca2+-stimulated cAMP production. Following 1 mo of voluntary running-wheel exercise, the impaired LTP and object recognition memory in AC1 knockout (KO) mice were significantly attenuated. Running up-regulated exon II mRNA level of BDNF (brain-derived neurotrophic factor), though it failed to increase exon I and IV mRNAs in the hippocampus of AC1 KO mice. Intrahippocampal infusion of recombinant BDNF was sufficient to rescue LTP and object recognition memory defects in AC1 KO mice. Therefore, voluntary running and exogenous BDNF application overcome the defective Ca2+-stimulated cAMP signaling. Our results also demonstrate that alteration in Ca2+-stimulated cAMP can affect the molecular outcome of physical exercise.</P>

Occurrence of ethyl carbamate in three types of Chinese wines and its possible reasons

        Fu, Zheng,Yang, Lili,Ma, Liyan,Liu, Xingzhi,Li, Jingming 한국식품과학회 2016 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.25 No.4

A total of 75 wines including 30 white wines, 31 red wines, and 14 sparkling wines were obtained from several regions in China (Sinkiang, Tonghua, Huailai, Yantai, Changli, Shanxi, Gansu, and Ningxia). Ethyl carbamate (EC) was detected by gas chromatography mass spectrometry. The EC concentration ranged from less than 1.16 to $38.56{\mu}g/L$, and the concentrations in 17 wines exceeded the U.S. limit for table wines ($15{\mu}g/L$). The concentrations of EC increased in the order of white, red, and sparkling wines with the corresponding mean concentrations of 6.12, 9.22, and $14.03{\mu}g/L$. The relationship between EC concentration and wine type suggested that EC concentrations in wines might be affected by vinification patterns, most likely due to the difference between EC precursors in different vinification processes. This work provides a novel clue for EC contamination in different wines.

Chlorogenic Acid Decreased Intestinal Permeability and Ameliorated Intestinal Injury in Rats via Amelioration of Mitochondrial Respiratory Chain Dysfunction

        Yan Zhou,Zheng Ruan,Lili Zhou,Yuhui Yang,Shumei Mi,Ze-Yuan Deng,Yulong Yin 한국식품과학회 2016 Food Science and Biotechnology Vol.25 No.1

Chlorogenic acid (CGA), an abundant polyphenol compound in plants, exhibits anti-oxidant effects. The protective effect of CGA in the rat intestine with endotoxin infusion was evaluated. CGA administration ameliorated endotoxin-induced intestinal injury, and decreased the ratio of lactulose/ mannitol, the ileum pathological grade, the myeloperoxidase activity in the ileum, and the malondialdehyde content in the ileum and in ileum mitochondria. The small intestine weight, activities of alkaline phosphatase and superoxide dismutase in the ileum, and β-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide reduce form (NADH) dehydrogenase and succinate dehydrogenase activities in ileum mitochondria were increased. Intestinal permeability was positively correlated with intestinal mitochondrial injury indicated as the level of malondialdehyde in ileum mitochondria, and negatively correlated with NADH dehydrogenase activity. Dietary administration of CGA protected against increased intestinal permeability caused by endotoxin infusion. The protective effect of CGA was probably associated with a decrease in mitochondrial lipid peroxidation levels and an increase in NADH dehydrogenase activity.

Nature-mimicking fabrication of antifouling photocatalytic membrane based on Ti/BiOI and polydopamine for synergistically enhanced photocatalytic degradation of tetracycline

        Yanhua Cui,Lili Yang,Yan Yan,Zengkai Wang,Jian Zheng,Binrong Li,Yonghai Feng,Chunxiang Li,Minjia Meng 한국화학공학회 2021 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.38 No.2

The photocatalytic efficiency of conventional blending photocatalytic membranes suffers a significant reduction due to effective photocatalyst embedded in membrane matrix. Therefore, in this study, inspired by the bioadhesive technology of polydopamine (pDA), a novel Ti doped bismuth oxyiodide (BiOI)-polydopamine (pDA)-coated cellulose acetate (CA) (Ti/BiOI-pDA/CA) photocatalytic nanocomposite membranes were successfully developed for effective removal of tetracycline (TC). The Ti/BiOI-pDA/CA nanocomposite membranes displayed very high photocatalytic activity toward TC (about 98% after 120 min) under visible light irradiation and superior photodegradation kinetics (k=0.03214 min1). The removal rate of Ti/BiOI/-pDA/CA nanocomposite membranes under dynamic cyclic degradation system could be further improved, giving TC removal efficiency of 91% in 60min. Remarkably, the permeate flux, flux recovery ratio (FRR), reversible fouling (Rr), irreversible fouling (Rir) and the total fouling ratio (Rt) revealed the Ti/BiOI-pDA/CA nanocomposite membranes had excellent antifouling performance. In addition, the Ti/ BiOI-pDA/CA nanocomposite membranes exhibited excellent stability and reusability. Therefore, this work gives insight into the effective removal of TC wastewater and has a great potential for new generation of high-performance photocatalytic membranes for practical wastewater treatment in the future.
