An artificial neural network (ANN) model was developed to predict the tensile properties as a function of alloying elementand microstructural factor of ferrite-pearlite steels. The input parameters of the model were composed of alloying elements(Mn, Si, Al, Nb, Ti, and V) and microstructural factors (pearlite fraction, ferrite grain size, interlamellar spacing, and cementitethickness), while the output parameters of the model were yield strength and tensile strength. Although the ferrite-pearlitesteels have complex relationships among the alloying elements, microstructural factors, and tensile properties, the ANNmodel predictions were found to be more accurate with experimental results than the existing equation model. In the presentstudy the individual effect of input parameters on the tensile properties was quantitatively estimated with the help of theaverage index of the relative importance for alloying elements as well as microstructural factors. The ANN model attemptedfrom the metallurgical points of view is expected to be useful for designing new steels having required mechanical properties.

부신피질 자극호르몬 단독결핍은 국내에서 7례만이 보고된 희귀 질환이며 병인 및 경과 등 아직 불분명한 측면이 많다. 이는 질환지체의 희귀성도 있지만 치료후 자연경과에 대한 장기적인 추적검사가 이루어진 경우가 드물기 때문이기도 하다. 저자들은 비특이적인 전신증상을 주소로 내원한 폐경기후의 56세 여자 환자에서 자가면역질환의 증거없이 고프로릭틴혈증을 보인 부신피질 자극호르몬 단독결핍 1례를 경험하고 1년간의 부신피질호르몬 대치요법후 추적검사를 실시하였기에 문헌 고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다. Isolated ACTH deficiency is a rare disorder which shows secondary adrenal insufficiency with normal states of other pituitary hormones. A 56-year-old postmenopausal woman complaining general weakness and intermittent mental confusion presented negligible serum cortisol and ACTH level with hyperprolactinemia and mild hyponatremia. Rapid ACTH stimulation test did not show significant increase of serum cortisol level. Combined pituitary stimulation test showed negligible response of cortisol and ACTH, and slightly decreased response of prolactin and gonadotropin. But the responses of TSH and GH were normal. There was no evidence of organic pituitary of hypothalamic lesion in brain MRI and antithyroid autoantibody was not detected in serum. After receiving 12 months of glucocorticoid replacement therapy, she skipped the medicine for 3 weeks and we performed follow-up endocrinologic tests. Serum ACTH and cortisol level was also negligible and prolonged ACTH simulation test showed normal response of serum cortisol. CRF stimulation test showed no response of serum ACTH. Basal prolactin level was decreased to near normal and combined pituitary stimulation test showed normal response of prolactin with slightly blunted response of TSH and GH. We concluded that the case was nonautoimmune origined isolated ACTH deficiency which was accompanied by hyperprolactinemia and resultant deficiency of gonadotropin, so we report this case with review of literatures.
WCDMA 역방향 링크에 대한 적응 빔포밍 기법에 관한 연구

본 논문은 WCDMA 시스템의 역방향 링크에서의 적응 빔포밍 적용에 관하여 기술하였다. 제안된 빔포밍 구조는 제어채널의 파일럿 심볼을 이용한 빔포밍 계수 계산과 데이터 채널에 적용하는 분리구조를 가지고 있다. 적응 빔포밍의 대표적 방식인 LMS 알고리즘과 steering 알고리즘을 적용하여 성능 분석과 시뮬레이션을 수행하였으며, 다양한 환경 변수에 따른 시뮬레이션 결과는 빔포밍 알고리즘의 구현과 설계에 있어 중요한 지침을 주리라 기대된다. The paper presents a beamforming structure for the reverse link of WCDMA system. The proposed beamforming structure consists of the two separate operations, i.e., the computation of beamforming weights utilizing the pilot symbols and the application of the weights. The LMS-based beamforming algorithm and the steering beamforming algorithm, which are the two representative means of adaptive beamforming are designed and included in the performance analysis and simulation. The simulation results of the beamforming performance in relation to the various environmental parameters are important since they can provide useful guide in designing and implementing the beamforming algorithm for WCDMA system.

Purpose : To measure the absorbed doses of cone beam computed tomography (CBCT), which is recently being more frequently used, and to compare them with those of panoramic radiography. Materials and Methods : To measure the absorbed doses of CBCT (PSR-9000N, Asahi Roentgen Ind. Co., Japan), we placed TLD chips on the skin regions above the parotid and thyroid glands, and on the dorsum of tongue in a dental head phantom. We used two image acquisition modes of the Dental and Panoramic modes of CBCT, which differed in the field of view. Also, panoramic radiographs (Auto IIIN, Asahi Roentgen Ind. Co., Japan) were taken to compare with the absorbed doses of CBCT. Result : In the Dental mode of CBCT, the absorbed doses of the parotid gland, dorsum of tongue, and thyroid gland were 3.53, 3.13, and 0.36 mGy, respectively. In the Panoramic mode of CBCT, they were 9.57, 9.15, and 0.85 mGy, respectively. The panoramic mode showed higher absorbed doses than those of the Dental mode. In the panoramic radiography, the absorbed doses of the parotid gland, dorsum of tongue, and thyroid gland were 1.21, 1.19, and 0.16 mGy, respectively. And they were about 1/3 of the Dental mode and 1/9 of the Panoramic mode of CBCT. Conclusion : Absorbed doses of CBCT are higher than those of panoramic radiography, and dependent upon the field of view.

The purpose of this study is to identify the various characteristics of concrete structures. The nondestructive technique such as the surface hardness method and the ultrasonic method, the extent of carbonation by the phenolphthalein indicator, and the chemical analysis are considered. On the basis of the experimental result, it is concluded that the durability and the serviceability of concrete structures are affected by the initial mixing condition and the environmental effect.

재무위험에 대한 개별적인 헷징기법은 이론에서나 상품개발에서 매우 진전되어 있다. 그러나 기업이 어떤 경우에 헷징을 하여야 하며, 무엇을 위해서 헷징을 하여야 하는지 기업경영의 원리적인 측면에서는 연구가 미진한 실정이다. 이 원리적인 부분이 규명되어야만 비로소 경영자가 따를 규범적인 위험관리 기법이 모색될 수 있게 된다. 본 연구는 기업에서 재무위험 관리는 그 대상은 자금에 두고, 목적을 가치증가가 아닌 최악의 상황이 발생할 가능성을 제거하는 것에 두어야 하는 이유를 제시한다. 그리고 헷징방법으로 여유자금의 기능, 자금항목 사이의 상관성 조정, 현금이익의 변동성 지수 파악이 필요하다는 것을 논리적으로 제시하고자 한다.
