Human thymus 조직으로부터 cDNA library를 만들었다. 무작위로 선별한 cDNA clone중에서 468개 염기로 된 cDNA clone (PTH209)을 검색한 결과 124개의 아미노산을 code하는 EAP(Epstein-Barr asseciated protein) 유전자임을 확인하였다. Thymus의 EAP와 Epstein-Barr 바이러스 positive 및 negative cell line의 RNP에서 분리한 EAP^(13)를 비교한 결과, coding region은 동일하였으나 3'UT region은 달랐다. 더구나 EBERs(Epstein-Barr encoded RNAs) 와 La 자가항원이 결합된 RNP의 EAP와 마찬가지로, thymus의 EAP는 sea urchin의 developmental stage-specific 단백질로 알려진 217^(2) 과 매우 유사한 아미노산 서열을 보였다. 이런 결과로 미루어 thymus의 EAP는 thymic development에 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 사료된다. To study the adaptation of immune systems in the animals kept in cold temperature, the recovery rate of peritoneal exudated mouse macrophage was measured in mouse bred at room temperature(RT) or at cold(S±2 C). NBT-reduction activities and phagocytic activities were measured too, to the macrophages recovered. The results are as follows; More than 40% of cells were recovered in the cold treated groups compaired to the RT bred groups. The NBT-reduction activities were totally blocked at 10mM EGTA, and were below 10% of the control in H7 100pM and TMB-8 0.1mM. The NBT-reduction activity of cold treated groups were higher than RT group at lower concentration than H7100pM and TMB-8 0.1mM . The H7 resulted no changes in phagocytic activities both cold and RT groups at 0.1-100pM. The TMB-8 resulted in significant decrease in phagocytic activities at 0.1 mM and 1mM. The conclusions are 1) the cold treated animals showed an increase in the NBT-reduction activities and in the macrophage recovery rates, 2) H7 was unable to block phagocytosis of yeasts up to 10011M concentration, 3) lectin-like yeast cell surface molecules have different signaling mechanism form IgG molecules.

In 1994, the government designated 8 excellent engineering colleges as the national strategy engineering college. In this paper, we have surveyed the compilation of a budget and business progress for the national strategy engineering college project containing its of the Chungnam National University, and introduce the problems and the direction of development, And finally we suggest that how to lead the it`s project. By the improvement of education environment and education curriculum, Secure of experienced good instructor, Enducement of good student, and collaboration among university, research institute, and industry. The characteristic business of the engineering college is aimed to lead the education, research, and development of technique, and finally to contribute to the district economic activation upon stimulating the industries. The way to succeed the characteristic business of the engineering college, in the interior side, is to ensure the substantiality in the fields of faculty, facility, and student, and in the exterior side, is to establish collaboration among the university, research institute, industry, and government. In addition, is needed to construct the globalization and organization of man-power.

A dynamic model of direct-acting type OHC valve train system is used to determine the load conditions in the system. Modified equations for calculating the friction forces between cam and HLA, and at a camshaft bearing is defined considering the lubrication conditions. Then, to understand the frictional characteristics in the system, a parameter study was performed. As the results of the analysis, valve spring stiffness and preload have great effects on the friction in the system, but the effects of other parameters are negligible. So, how to design the valve train system with respect to the reduction of friction is to minimize the valve spring stiffness and preload in the limit of satisfying the dynamic constraints.<br/>

Objectives : This study is to examine the influence of exercise program to body shape and body composition of women. Exercise program is composed muscular resistance exercise and aerobic exercise with 70min/time, 5day/week for 4weeks and designed for the reinforcement of muscular strength and the decease the decrease of obesity. Methods : The subjects of this study are 26 females who are from twenty until thirty-nine years old and are divided into two groups according to Obese Rate. normal weight group is 18 females under a BMI of 23 and overweight group is 8 females over a BMI of 23. we measured body compositon and body shape with body composition analyzer(inbody 3.0) measured body compositions are body weight, Lean body mass, base metabolic rate, body fat, %body fat, waist hip ratio, body mass index. measured 6body shape are upper arm circumference, chest circumference, waist circumference, hip circumference, thigh circumference. the measurements had been taken before exercise of each group, after 4 weeks, after 8 weeks, after 12 weeks. Body compositon and body shape of the measured data were analyzed by two-way repeated ANOVA followed by Dunnett`s post.hoc test using SPSS. Differences were considered significant at p<0.05. Results and Conclusions : The weight was reduced at a significant level in overweight group after 4 weeks. Body fat percent was reduced at a significant level in normal group after 4 weeks and overweight group after 8 weeks. Waist-hip ratio was reduced at a significant level in normal and overweight group after 4 weeks. Lean body mass and body metabolic rate were reduced but did not satisfy statistical significance. Circumference of all body parts showed an decrease after 12 weeks exercise program. Upper Arm, Chest, Waist, Hip Circumference were reduced at a significant level in overweight group after 4 weeks, but In normal group only Waist Circumference was reduced at a significant level after 4 weeks. Aerobic and Circuit weight training for 12 weeks reduced body weight and body fat percent, waist circumstance statistically significant without loss of lean body mass and body metabolic rate. Also these change was more effective in overweight group than in normal group.
상이한 전열면적을 가진 디젤엔진 EGR Cooler의 실험적 연구

Today, electronically controlled injection system are used in diesel engines, in which oxidation catalysis contribute to the reduction of hydrocarbons and particle emission. Exhaust gas recirculation is the only practical solution available for reducing PM(particle matter) and NOx in diesel engines aside form measures in the engine such as staggered injection. By significantly lowering the temperature of the recirculated exhaust gases, EGR cooling contributes to the effects of exhaust gas recirculation and leads to further reduction of nitrogen oxides. EGR systems have long been acknowledged as effective tools for reducing nitrogen oxides in diesel engines. In this paper, engine dynamometer experiments have been carried on the characteristics which improve heat exchange efficiency of EGR cooler with the mea change. The heat exchange efficiency has been experimentally performed with four, five and six-type of EGR coolers, and compared the performance characteristics of the three EGR coolers.

Background: Interferon-gamma release assays (IGRAs) are used widely for diagnosinglatent tuberculosis (TB) infection. However, the diagnostic value of IGRAs for active TB is unclear, because false-negative test results in active TB remain a problem. This study evaluated the predictors of false-negative results of the QuantiFERON-TB Gold In- Tube (QFT-GIT) in adults with active TB. Methods: A multicenter retrospective cohort study examined 1,264 culture-confi rmed TB patients older than 18 years given the QFT-GIT at six hospitals from May, 2007, to February, 2014. A false negative was defi ned as an indeterminate or negative result of the QFT-GIT. Clinical and laboratory data were collected. Results: Of the patients, 87.6% (1,107/1,264) had pulmonary TB and 12.4% had (157/1,264) extrapulmonary TB. The false-negative rate was 14% (182/1,264). Elderly staus (age =65, odds ratio [OR] 1.68, 95% confi dence interval [CI] 1.01-2.60), diabetes mellitus (OR 1.73, 95% CI 1.05-2.84), malignancy (OR 2.55, 95% CI 1.34-4.87), lymphocytopenia (total lymphocytes < 1000 cells/mm3, OR 1.81, 95% CI 1.13-2.91), serum albumin (OR 0.64, 95% CI 0.45-0.89), and bilateral disease (OR 1.69, 95% CI 1.05-2.71) were signifi cantly related to a false-negative QFT-GIT. Conclusions: Old age, the presence of diabetes mellitus, malignancy, lymphocytopenia, lower serum albumin, and bilateral disease appear to be risk factors for a false-negative QFT-GIT.
