Objective: The Graston technique and self-myofascial release technique using foam roller are used to fascia release. The purposeof this study was to compare the immediate effects of the Graston technique and self-myofascial release technique using foamroller to improve calf muscle function and walking speed. Design: A cross-sectional studyMethods: Total fifty-two healthy adults participated in this study. Subjects randomly were conducted the Graston technique andself-myofascial release technique using foam roller to the right and left calf muscles for 5 minutes each. Calf muscle function was assessed by ankle dorsi flexion range of motion, and walking speed was assessed by 10m walking test on preferred walking andfast walking. Results: Both the Graston technique and self-myofascial release technique using foam roller significantly improved the ankledorsiflexion angle, viscoelastic properties of the calf muscle, and preferred walking speed (p<0.05), but there was no significantdifference in vertical jump and fast walking speed. Also, there was no significant differences between the two techniques in allvariables (p>0.05). Conclusions: This study showed that both the Graston technique and self-myofascial release technique using foam roller can affect muscle function and walking speed by relaxing the fascia of the calf muscles. Because the immediate effects are similarbetween the two interventions, the self-myofascial release technique using foam roller is recommended for economic savings.
Strategies for the Development of Watermelon Industry Using Unstructured Big Data Analysis

Purpose: Our purpose in this study was to examine the strategies for the development of watermelon industry using unstructured big data analysis. That is, this study was to look the change of issues and consumer's perception about watermelon using big data and social network analysis and to investigate ways to strengthen the competitiveness of watermelon industry based on that. Methodology: For this purpose, the data was collected from Naver (blog, news) and Daum (blog, news) by TEXTOM 4.5 and the analysis period was set from 2015 to 2016 and from 2017-2018 and from 2019-2020 in order to understand change of issues and consumer's perception about watermelon or watermelon industry. For the data analysis, TEXTOM 4.5 was used to conduct key word frequency analysis, word cloud analysis and extraction of metrics data. UCINET 6.0 and NetDraw function of UCINET 6.0 were utilized to find the connection structure of words and to visualize the network relations, and to make a cluster of words. Results: The keywords related to the watermelon extracted such as 'the stalk end of a watermelon', 'E-mart', 'Haman', 'Gochang', and 'Lotte Mart' (news: 015-2016), 'apple watermelon', 'Haman', 'E-mart', 'Gochang', and' Mudeungsan watermelon' (news: 2017-2018), 'E-mart', 'apple watermelon', 'household', 'chobok', and 'donation' (news: 2019-2020), 'watermelon salad', 'taste', 'the heat', 'baby', and 'effect' (blog: 2015-2016), 'taste', 'watermelon juice', 'method', 'watermelon salad', and 'baby' (blog: 2017-2018), 'taste', 'effect', 'watermelon juice', 'method', and 'apple watermelon' (blog: 2019-2020) and the results from frequency and TF-IDF analysis presented. And in CONCOR analysis, appeared as four types, respectively. Conclusions: Based on the results, the authors discussed the strategies and policies for boosting the watermelon industry and limitations of this study and future research directions. The results of this study will help prioritize strategies and policies for boosting the consumption of the watermelon and contribute to improving the competitiveness of watermelon industry in Korea. Also, it is expected that this study will be used as a very important basis for agricultural big data studies to be conducted in the future and this study will offer watermelon producers and policy-makers practical points helpful in crafting tailor-made marketing strategies.

Background: Although childhood maltreatment is a known risk factor for adulthood mental health, the impact of different types of childhood maltreatment on mental disorders is not yet clear. This study explored the association of each type of childhood maltreatment with adulthood mental disorders and suicidality in South Korea. Methods: A total of 5,102 individuals from the general populations over the age of 18 responded to the Korean version of the Composite International Diagnostic Interview and questions about childhood maltreatment (emotional neglect, psychological abuse, physical abuse, and sexual abuse). To evaluate the odds ratio for mental disorders and suicidality associated with each type of childhood maltreatment, we used logistic regression analysis. Results: About 17.0% of the respondents reported having experienced a type of maltreatment in childhood. According to the type, 9.4% reported physical abuse, 9.3% reported emotional neglect, 7.9% reported psychological abuse, and 3.8% reported sexual abuse. Exposure to each type of childhood maltreatment was associated with most types of mental disorders after adjusting for sociodemographic factors. Each type of childhood maltreatment victim was associated with suicidality (suicidal ideations, suicide plans, and suicide attempts). Dose-response patterns for suicide attempts were observed in all types of victims. Moreover, the respondents who experienced frequent childhood emotional neglect were 14 times more likely to have attempted suicide. Conclusion: Childhood maltreatment was associated with mental health in adulthood. The findings show the need for early detection and intervention of victims of childhood maltreatment to minimize its negative impact on adult mental health.

Bacterial cellulose (BC) is gaining attention as a carbon-neutral alternative to plant cellulose, and as a means to prevent deforestation and achieve a carbon-neutral society. However, the high cost of fermentation media for BC production is a barrier to its industrialization. In this study, chestnut shell (CS) hydrolysates were used as a carbon source for the BC-producing bacteria strain, Gluconacetobacter xylinus ATCC 53524. To evaluate the suitability of the CS hydrolysates, major inhibitors in the hydrolysates were analyzed, and BC production was profiled during fermentation. CS hydrolysates (40 g glucose/l) contained 1.9 g/l acetic acid when applied directly to the main medium. As a result, the BC concentration at 96 h using the control group and CS hydrolysates was 12.5 g/l and 16.7 g/l, respectively (1.3-fold improved). In addition, the surface morphology of BC derived from CS hydrolysates revealed more densely packed nanofibrils than the control group. In the microbial BC production using CS, the hydrolysate had no inhibitory effect during fermentation, suggesting it is a suitable feedstock for a sustainable and eco-friendly biorefinery. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study to valorize CS by utilizing it in BC production.

The subthreshold characteristics of double-gate (DG) MOSFETs with various thicknesses of a Si film (TSi) are analyzed. It is found that, in comparison to the symmetrical DG-MOSFET, the subthreshold characteristics of the lightly-doped asymmetric device have a larger dependence on TSi, which is due to the linear distribution of the potential in the Si-lm region. Further, we derive an analytical equation which can explain these phenomena and verify the accuracy of the analytical equation by comparing them with the device simulation results. Due to these TSisensitive subthreshold characteristics, tight control of TSi is required for lightly-doped asymmetric DG-MOSFETs to keep a large Ion/Ioff ratio.
Characterization and genetic analysis of a plastochron 1-6 mutant in rice.

Plastochron and phyllotaxy are important traits to determine plant architecture. A plastochron 1-6 mutant was derived from japonica rice cultivar Koshihikari treated with ethylmethane sulfonate (EMS). The plastochron 1-6 mutant showed reduced plant height, shorter internode length, smaller and more leaves than Koshihikari, its wild type. In addition, the mutant has abnormal panicle, abnormal seed and upper node tillers. The F1 plants between mutant and Koshihikari were normal. In F2 population, segregation ratio between the wild type and mutant was fitted to 3:1. This genetic analysis indicated that plastochron 1-6 is controlled by a single recessive gene. Bulked segregant analysis revealed that the gene was located on chromosome 10. Through sequencing analysis, we found that plastochron 1-6 mutant had a single nucleotide transition occurred in the first exon of LOC_Os10g26340 (encoding P450 CYP78A11).
