      • VOCs의 光觸媒處理에 관한 硏究

        This study has been carried out to observe photodegradation efficieny of TCE with the variation of IN irradiation strength, liquid thickness and immobilized TiO₂. The results are summarized as fallows; 1. Without photocatalyst, the TCE removal efficiency was observed to be about 15% with UV irradiation. 2. Above 93% of TCE were mineralized by immobilized TiO₂on glass panel(5g, 500℃) and UV irradiation. The photodegradation efficiency increased with increasing UV lamp numbers and reaction rate increased with increasing TCE initial concentration. 3. The photodegradation efficiency decreased with increasing the liquid thickness and above 96% of TCE were removed with using 3 UV lamps and liquid thickness less than 6cm.

      • ICP-AES를 이용한 마그네시아 중의 미량성분 분석

        The sample pretreatment technique using an atmospheric pressure acid digestion for the analysis of magnesia that is a representative material for fine refractory was studied. When magnesia was dissolved by four kinds of acids . i. e.. hydrochloric acid, nitric acid, perchloric acid + hydrochloric acid, phosphioric acid + nitric acid, the intensity change of Cr. B. Fe. Ca. Al were observed by ICP-AES. And, the recovery was measured by spiking the standard solution of 100ppm, the results indicate that the loss of most of elements is 8∼32% for hydrochloric acid and 7∼26% for nitric acid. The recovery is relatively lower value compared to that of perchloric acid+hydrochloric acid(1+2) and phosphoric acid+nitric acid(1+2), of which the recovery is more than 95% for most of elements. Magnesia single crystal and powder were quantitatively analyzed by a standard addition method after optimizing in sample pretreatment using HClO4 + HCl.

      • 病院 地下空間內의 空氣中 微生物分布에 관한 硏究

        This study was carried out to investigate the distribution and concentration of microorganism by the method of the air contamination using RCS air sampler in underground linac room of two general hospital located in Pusan. The places of air sampling were 4 different spot in two each hopital. Therefore, total 8 places were sampled from June 30, 1996 to May30, 1997. The results obtained were as follows 1. In a agar strip GK-A media for total count of microbial particles, it was estimated to be 76 CFU/ft^(3) in ICR room, and the consulting room was 53 CFU/ft^(3), lobby was XI CFU/ft^(3), linac room was 35 CFU/ft^(3), in the M hospital, respectively. The distribution of organism in the air of M hospital were shown gram positive cocci 72%, gram negative bacilli 15%, gram positive bacilli 6.1%, fungi 6.1%, respectively . On the other hand, in P hospital, it was obtained to be ICR room 74 CFU/ft^(3), lobby- 45 CFU/ft^(3), consulting room 34 CFU/ft^(3), linac room 31 CFU/ft^(3), respectively. The distribution and concentration of microorganism in the air were detected gram positive cocci 75%, fungi 10.3%, gram negative bacilli 8.7%, gram positive bacilli 6.0%. respectively. The results were recognized to be a low frequency in the linac room. 2. In agar strip S media for total counts of M hospital, ICR room was shown the highest organism with 32 CFU/ft^(3), but the lowest organism was detected linac room with 20 CFU/ft^(3). Also, the case of P hospital was estimated high 43 CFU/ft^(3) at ICR room, low organism was shown at linac 17 CFU/ft^(3) Test of coagulase were recognized to be a negative Staphylococci 68.3% in M hospital, 60.7% in P hospital. Coagulase positive cocci was estimated to be 31.7% in M hospital, 39.3% in P hospital. 3. In agar strip C media for coliform bacteria, colony counts at ICR room 10 CFU/ft^(3), consulting room 7 CFU/ft^(3), linac room 6 CFU/ft^(3), lobby 4 CFU/ft^(3) in M hospital, respectively. On the other hand, in P hospital were shown ICR room and main lobby 7 CFU/ft^(3), consulting room 5 CFU/ft^(3), linac room 4 CFU/ft^(3), respectively.

      • 엔로플록사신 액제의 닭유래 병원세균에 대한 시험관내 항균효과 시험

        In this study the antimicrobial spectrum and sensitivity of a liquid formulation of enrofloxacin against the major six pathogenic bacteria isolated from the diseased poultry in Korea were evaluated in comparison with ciprfloxacin (CFX), gentamicin (GM) and penicillin (PC). A liquid form of enrofloxacin, a test material and ciprofloxacin showed at least 83% antibacterial activity against all of six test pathogenic microorganisms at the fixed concentration of 10 ㎍/㎖. Gentamicin and penicillin revealed much lower antibacterial activity at the same condition. We evaluated the liquid form of enrofloxacin as having widespread antibacterial spectrum against poultry infections. The liquid form of enrofloxacin showed potent antibacterial activity, with the MIC range being 0.12∼2 ㎍/㎖ against Gram positives, 0.06∼2 ㎍/㎖ against Gram negatives and 0.5∼2 ㎍/㎖ against Mycoplasma spp. These values were equivalent to or somewhat higher than those of ciprofloxacin, but much lower than those of gentamicn and penicillin. This new liquid form of enrofloxacin would find its way in application of mixing with drinking water for the prevention and treatment of diverse infections in chickens.

      • 엔로플록사신 액제의 닭 호흡기 및 소화기 감염증에 대한 예방 및 치료효과

        We evaluated the efficacy of the liquid form of enrofloxacin against poultry respiratory and digestive infections, the major problems in the poultry industry, from diverse diagnosis viewpoints. Results obtained through this study were as follows: 1. The liquid form of enrofloxacin showed good acceptability to poultry owing to no abhorrence to the drug by chickens, which indicated its suitability for mixing in drinking water. 2. The application of the enrofloxacin formulation improved the productivity of the chicken farm to a great extent by lowering the death toll of chicken raised in the farm. 3. The use of the drug shortened the days to the market, and increased the body weight at the time of marketing. 4. Preventive and therapeutic effects of the liquid enrofloxacin were observed higher than ampicillin, a major antibiotic used in poultry farming. From above results, the liquid form of enrofloxacin would find its use for the prevention and treatment of digestive and respiratory infections, let alone the growth promotion and feed efficiency, especially in the chicken farming practice.

      • Sarcopenic Obesity: Prevalence and Association With Metabolic Syndrome in the Korean Longitudinal Study on Health and Aging (KLoSHA)

        <P><B>OBJECTIVE</B></P><P>We investigated the prevalence of sarcopenic obesity (SO) and its relationship with metabolic syndrome in a community-based elderly cohort in Korea.</P><P><B>RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS</B></P><P>In this study, 287 men and 278 women aged 65 or older were recruited. Sarcopenia was defined as the appendicular skeletal muscle mass (ASM) divided by height squared (Ht<SUP>2</SUP>) (kg/m<SUP>2</SUP>) or by weight (Wt) (%) of <1 SD below the sex-specific mean for young adults. Obesity was defined as a visceral fat area ≥100 cm<SUP>2</SUP>.</P><P><B>RESULTS</B></P><P>The prevalence of SO was 16.7% in men and 5.7% in women with sarcopenia defined by ASM/Ht<SUP>2</SUP>; however, it was 35.1% in men and 48.1% in women by ASM/Wt. Using ASM/Wt, the homeostasis model assessment of insulin resistance of subjects with SO was higher and they were at higher risk for metabolic syndrome (odds ratio [OR] 8.28 [95% CI 4.45–15.40]) than the obese (5.51 [2.81–10.80]) or sarcopenic group (2.64 [1.08–6.44]).</P><P><B>CONCLUSIONS</B></P><P>SO defined by ASM/Wt was more closely associated with metabolic syndrome than either sarcopenia or obesity alone.</P>

        낙동강 수계에서의 농약류 발생 및 위해성 평가

        In this study, eight pesticides belonging to the groups of carbamates, phenoxy-acids, heterocyclics were analyzed to identify their concentrations and distribution patterns at various sampling locations (20 sites) in the Nakdong River basin during various sampling periods (May, July, September, and November 2012). Among the eight pesticides, carbofuran showed the highest mean concentration (0.0335 μg/L), followed by methomyl (0.0138 μg/L) and quinoline (0.0070 μg/L), while aldicarb and molinate were observed below the method detection limit (MDL). Quinoline was the most frequently detected pesticide with a detection frequency of 85- 100% in all the sampling periods. The concentration levels and the detection frequencies of the pesticides seemed to be related with the pesticides’ shipment/production. Among the four sampling periods, September showed the highest mean and median concentrations, although the differences were not statistically significant. The concentration levels were higher in the midstream area than the up and downstream areas of the Nakdong River, because a number of potential contamination pathways such as wastewater treatment plants, industrial facilities and agricultural fields were located in this zone. All these non-cancer-causing pesticides, except quinolone, showed no risk value (risk assessment value < 1). This study could be used as basic data for risk assessment and analysis procedures for quality assurance and quality control of pesticides in Korea.

        누가, 어떻게 소셜 커뮤니티를 운영하는가?

        본 연구는 외국인 이주민이 한국사회에 적응하기 위한 수단이자, 한국사회와 소통을 위한 유용한 커뮤니케이션 채널로서 소셜 커뮤니티에 주목하여, 이들이 한국사회에서 정착과 소통 측면에서 외국인 이주민 소셜 커뮤니티를 어떻게 운영하고 있으며, 운영상의 어려움이나 문제점은 없는지 구체적으로 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 외국인 이주민의 커뮤니티 운영자를 대상으로 FGI를 실시하였으며, 국적별 혹은 이주형태별로 대표성을 지닌 외국인 이주민의 소셜 커뮤니티를 대상으로 하여 내용분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 외국인 이주민이 우리 사회 구성원으로서 활발히 소통하고 정착하기 위해서는, 전시행정이 아닌 외국인 이주민들의 현실적인 상황(한국어 수준, 근무시간, PC 소유 여부 등)을 고려한 단계별 컴퓨터(기본적인 프로그램 활용 방법, 인터넷 이용 방법, 소셜미디어 활용 방법 등) 교육 프로그램이 필요하며, 특히 운영자들에 대한 전문적인 기술교육 및 커뮤니티 운영지원 정책이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 한국사회에서 외국인 이주민에 대한 문제 발생 시 온라인상에서 관련 부처의 신속한 대응 및 지속적인 관리도 중요한 것으로 보인다. 한국형 포털 사이트의 경우 복잡한 가입절차 방식도 시급히 해결되어야 할 문제라고 본다. 외국인 이주민들의 소셜 미디어 활용에 앞서 근본적으로 접근 자체를 불가능하게 만드는 일차적 요인이기도 하기 때문이다. 현재 다문화 지원 관련 부처에서 제공하고 있는 커뮤니티 서비스 방식도 동영상 등 대용량 자료를 올리기에는 적합하지 않아 실제 필요한 형식(동영상을 비롯한 각종 영상자료 등)의 서비스를 사용할 만큼의 용량 제공 문제 등의 개선이 필요한 것으로 나타났다. The objective of this study is to propose the effective and practical policy and plans for Korean government through research(FGI for social community operator & case study on social community) about foreign residents’ social media community. According to the results, it is very important that step-by-step computer education program(utilization for internet & social media) by foreign residents’ various condition(level of Korean, job, computer skill etc.) for foreign residents put down roots in society as member of Korean. In specially, education of specialized skills and policy about operational support for social community operator is needed. And rapid maneuver and maintaining management of Korean government, to solve several problem about foreign residents’, is very important, too. Additionally, procedure for joining in Korean portal sites must be simplified. It is first reason to make impossible foreign residents’ social media access. In last, institutional and technical supports like service capacity, mode, and method are required to manage and operate foreign residents’ social media community.
