This study was performed to increase the accuracy of genomic estimated breeding value (GEBV) predictions for domestic pigs using single-breed and admixed reference populations (single-breed of Berkshire pigs [BS] with cross breed of Korean native pigs and Landrace pigs [CB]). The principal component analysis (PCA), linkage disequilibrium (LD), and genome-wide association study (GWAS) were performed to analyze the population structure prior to genomic prediction. Reference and test population data sets were randomly sampled 10 times each and precision accuracy was analyzed according to the size of the reference population (100, 200, 300, or 400 animals). For the BS population, prediction accuracy was higher for all economically important traits with larger reference population size. Prediction accuracy was ranged from -0.05 to 0.003, for all traits except carcass weight (CWT), when CB was used as the reference population and BS as the test. The accuracy of CB for backfat thickness (BF) and shear force (SF) using admixed population as reference increased with reference population size, while the results for CWT and muscle pH at 24 hours after slaughter (pH) were equivocal with respect to the relationship between accuracy and reference population size, although overall accuracy was similar to that using the BS as the reference.
Development of an infant formula certified reference material for the analysis of organic nutrients

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Infant formula certified reference material (CRM, KRISS CRM 108-02-003) were developed for the analysis of organic nutrients. The CRM is a milk-based infant formula powder, packaged at 14 g per unit. Ten thousand units were prepared and stored at −70 °C. For the certification of each nutrient, ten units were analyzed for simultaneous value-assignment and homogeneity test. Analytical methods used were isotope dilution mass spectrometry (IDMS) based on liquid chromatography mass spectrometer (LC/MS) or gas chromatography mass spectrometer (GC/MS) as higher-order reference methods.13 vitamins, 3 fatty acids, and total cholesterol were certified. The between-unit relative standard deviation of measurement results for each nutrient ranged 0.2% to 2.5%, showing very good homogeneity. The expanded relative uncertainties of the certified values ranged from 1% to 8%, indicating that they have higher-order metrological quality. The values of proximates (proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, water, and ash) were assigned through inter-laboratory comparisons.</P> <P><B>Highlights</B></P> <P> <UL> <LI> An infant formula CRMs for the analysis of organic nutrients was developed. </LI> <LI> Organic nutrients were certified by IDMS approaches as higher-order reference methods. </LI> <LI> Homogeneities and stability of the CRM were evaluated by IDMS approaches. </LI> <LI> Metrological qualities of the certified values were proved by their small uncertainties. </LI> <LI> Five proximates were value-assigned by interlaboratory comparison. </LI> </UL> </P>

ICT 기반의 제품 또는 서비스에 있어서 UX 는 기술혁신의 중요한 요소로 자리잡고 있으며, 그에 따라 UX 에 대한 관심도 고조되고 있다. 또한 무형자산이 기업가치에 미치는 영향이 커지고, 그에 따라 기술가치평가는 기술거래, 현물출자, M&A 등의 기업활동에 중요한 역할을 하고 있다. 그러나 현재의 기술가치평가는 기술을 기반으로 한 제품 또는 서비스의 성패를 좌우하는 UX 를 반영하지 못하고 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 수익접근법을 기반으로 한 기술가치평가의 프로세스 및 UX 관련 선행연구를 분석하고, UX 를 반영한 기술기여도 산출에 대한 평가방법을 제시한다. 기술가치평가의 UX 반영을 통해서 UX 투자의 정당성을 부여하고, 기술기획 또는 기술거래시 UX 의 가치가 반영될 수 있을 것으로 예상된다. UX is one of the most important success factors for ICT based products or services nowadays. The influence of intangible assets on the enterprise value is growing. Therefore technology valuation is playing an important role for technology transfer, investment in kind, M&A etc. However current technology valuation does not reflect UX. Therefore in this study, we analyze technology valuation process based on income approach and review related studies on UX evaluation. By applying UX value on previous technology valuation system, we expect the investment in the UX to be qualitatively justified and its value to be reflected on technology planning or transfer.

본 연구에서는 격벽형 펄스분리장치의 성능을 검증하기 위하여 실물형 Flight-type의 이중펄스 로켓모타 추진기관을 설계, 제작하여 지상연소시험을 수행하였다. 지상연소시험 시 계측한 추진기관의 압력, 추력, 진동 결과를 바탕으로 펄스분리장치의 파열특성인 파열시간과 파열압력 분석을 실시하였고 연소시험 후 3차원 측정기를 이용한 삭마량 측정을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 펄스분리장치가 파열조건 및 열적 안전성을 만족하는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. In this study, the full scale flight type Dual-Pulse Rocket Motor(DPRM) with the bulkhead type Pulse Separation Device(PSD) was designed, manufactured, and fire-tested. The bursting time and pressure of PSD were analyzed by the pressure, thrust and vibration results of static fire tests and ablation of PSD was measured with 3-D coordinate measuring machine. As a result, PSD requirements, bursting conditions and thermal safety, were satisfied.

다중펄스 로켓모타에 적용하려는 격벽형 펄스분리장치에 대한 설계를 진행하였다. 펄스분리장치의 부품인 파열판의 Slit 형상과 용접조건 및 Seal Disc 적용여부 등 설계인자를 변경하며 설계하였다. 설계 및 제작된 펄스분리장치에 대한 공압 파열시험을 실시하여 Slit 개수 및 용접강도 증가, Seal Disc 적용에 따라 파열압력이 증가함을 확인하였다. A bulkhead-type pulse separation device has been developed for the multi-pulse rocket motor. The design parameters of the pulse separation device were the shape of the rupture disc slit, welding conditions, and the implementation of the seal disc. The pneumatic tests of the fabricated pulse separation devices showed that the rupture pressure increased as the quantity of the rupture disc slit and welding strength increased and the seal disc was implemented.

In Korea, Korea Proven Bulls (KPN) program has been well-developed. Breeding and evaluation of cows are also an essential factor to increase earnings and genetic gain. This study aimed to evaluate the accuracy of cow breeding value by using three methods (pedigree index [PI], pedigree-based best linear unbiased prediction [PBLUP], and genomic-BLUP [GBLUP]). The reference population (n = 16,971) was used to estimate breeding values for 481 females as a test population. The accuracy of GBLUP was 0.63, 0.66, 0.62 and 0.63 for carcass weight (CWT), eye muscle area (EMA), back-fat thickness (BFT), and marbling score (MS), respectively. As for the PBLUP method, accuracy of prediction was 0.43 for CWT, 0.45 for EMA, 0.43 for MS, and 0.44 for BFT. Accuracy of PI method was the lowest (0.28 to 0.29 for carcass traits). The increase by approximate 20% in accuracy of GBLUP method than other methods could be because genomic information may explain Mendelian sampling error that pedigree information cannot detect. Bias can cause reducing accuracy of estimated breeding value (EBV) for selected animals. Regression coefficient between true breeding value (TBV) and GBLUP EBV, PBLUP EBV, and PI EBV were 0.78, 0.625, and 0.35, respectively for CWT. This showed that genomic EBV (GEBV) is less biased than PBLUP and PI EBV in this study. In addition, number of effective chromosome segments (Me) statistic that indicates the independent loci is one of the important factors affecting the accuracy of BLUP. The correlation between Me and the accuracy of GBLUP is related to the genetic relationship between reference and test population. The correlations between Me and accuracy were −0.74 in CWT, −0.75 in EMA, −0.73 in MS, and −0.75 in BF, which were strongly negative. These results proved that the estimation of genetic ability using genomic data is the most effective, and the smaller the Me, the higher the accuracy of EBV.
