        유산균들의 콜레스테를 저하성, 내산성, 내담즙성, 항생제 내성 비교

        기능성 요구르트의 제조에 사용되는 유산균은 인체에 유익한 생리활성과 우수한 생존능력을 보유하고 있는 것이 바람직하다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 유산균주의 산과 담즙 및 항생제에 대한 내성을 조사하였으며 in vitro에서 콜레스테롤 저하능을 조사하였다. In vitro에서 콜레스테롤 저하능이 우수한 13균주를 선발하여 이들의 동결건조 분말을 고 콜레스테롤 식이의 실험쥐에 투여하였다. 그 결과 8균주는 비 투여구보다 유의적으로 18.3~27.3%의 콜레스테롤 저하능을 나타냈다(P≤0.05). 이들 중에서 Bifidobacterium infantis AM-220, Lactobacillus AM-245, Streptococcus MA-1의 3균주를 이용하여 요구르트를 제조한 후 동결건조 분말을 이용하여 급여실험을 수행한 결과, 총 콜레스테롤과 LDL 함량이 유의적으로 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. For a probiotic yoghurt it is desirable to utilize lactic acid bacteria with a high survival rate and beneficial function to human beings. We have examined a variety of lactic acid bacteria to assess the acid and bile tolerance and antibiotic resistance. In addition, an in vitro culture experiment was performed to evaluate their ability to reduce cholesterol levels in the growth medium. Thirteen strains were selected from in vitro cholesterol assays and fed to Sprague-Dawley rats with a high-cholesterol diet. Among the 13 strains tested, 8 strains were shown to reduce serum cholesterol levels significantly after 24 days of administration in vivo. Rats were fed lyophilized yoghurt powder fermented with a combination of 3 selected strains: Bifidobacterium infantis AM-220, Lactobacillus AM-245, and Streptococcus MA-1. The levels of total cholesterol and low density lipoprotein were significantly lower (p≤0.05) in rats fed the yoghurt powder compared with control group. These studies suggest that yoghurt fermented with appropriately selected lactic acid bacteria may have a anticholesterolemic effect.

      • RF-MSP에 의한 LiCoO₂박막전극의 형성에 관한 연구

        LiCoO₂는 높은 전기충전밀도를 가진 전지로서 기대되고 있는 리튬 2차전지의 양극물질이다. 최근에는 주로 고출력 2차전지에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 만일 리튬 2차전지가 IC 기판에 박막으로 제작된다면 이것은 IC 칩, 마이크로기기, 박막형 전자 디스플레이 소자 등의 전원으로 사용할 수 있다. LiCoO₂박막은 CVD, Laser 증착, E-beam, 스파트링 등의 방법으로 제작할 수 있으나, 전지에 고성능의 양극으로 사용하기 위해서는 격자상수와 조성비를 맞추기 어렵다. 본 연구에서는 반응성 마그네트론 스파트링을 이용하여 기판의 온도와 산소분압을 변수로 하여 LiCoO₂박막을 제작하였다. 기판온도 700℃, 산소분압 5%에서 전지로서 가장 적합한 격자상수와 결정구조를 나타내었다. LiCoO₂is a electrode material of Li ion cell which is expected as the cell with a very high electric charge density. The recent study is mainly to focused on a high power secondary cell. If very thin Li ion cell can be made in the scale of IC substrate, it can be a electric source in IC ship, micro machine or very thin electrical display etc. LiCoO₂thin film can be made by CVD, laser ablation, E-Beam, ion beam process, sputtering etc. But, it is difficult to make the material with a high quality for a cell as the electrode of a cell with the same ratio in components and a lattice parameter bulk etc. In this study, LiCoO₂is made by R.F magnetron sputtering with the variance of substrate temperature and oxygen partial pressure etc. At the substrate temperature of 700℃ and the oxygen rate of 5%, we can acquire the good thin film LiCoO₂compared with a bulk material.

      • AC PDP 네 투명 유전층의 절연내력과 투과율에 관한 연구

        AC PDP(plasma display panel)는 40인치 이상의 대화면 디스플레이 장치로서, AC PDP내 투명 유전층은 방전플라즈마중의 양이온 충격에 의해서 금속전극이 스파터되는 것을 보호하고, 유전층 표면에 벽전하를 형성하여 대화면 구동에 필요한 메모리기능을 부가하므로 방전 cell구조에서 필수적인 부분이다. 이러한 유전층은 우수한 절연내력을 가져야할 뿐 아니라 가시광을 투과시키기 위한 높은 투과율이 요구된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 여러 조건들 하에서 유전층의 절연내력과 투과율에 관하여 논하였다. 그 결과 15μm 두께를 가지고 570℃에서 소성을 행한 유전층의 경우 최소 29V/μm의 절연 내력을 가졌고, 80%정도의 투과율을 나타내었다. 그러므로 AC PDP에서 적정유전층의 두께는 최고인 가전압에 대해서 약 80V 정도의 마진을 가지는 15μm정도가 적당하다고 생각된다. AC PDP(plasma display panel) is large display panel over 40 inch. The transparent dielectric layers in AC PDP are essential to the discharge cell structure, because they protect metal electrodes from sputtering by positive ion bombarding in discharge plasma and form a sheath of wall charges which are essential to memory function necessary to drive large panel. This layer should have high dielectric strength, and also be transparent because visiable light must pass through this layer. Therefore in this paper, we discussed the dielectric strength and transmittance coefficient of the dielectric layer under various conditions. As a result, on the 15μm thickness, the minimum dielectric strength was 29V/μm and the transmittance coefficient was about 80% after 570℃ firing process. It is considered that the resonable dielectric thickness in AC PDP is 15μm because it has about 80V margin on the maximum applied voltage.

      • 불평형 마그네트론 스파트링에 의한 ac-PDP용 ITO 박막의 전기적ㆍ광학적 특성에 관한 연구

        플라즈마 디스플레이 패널(Plasma Display Panels, PDP)에서 투명전극으로 사용되고 있는 ITO 박막을 불평형 마그네트론 스파트링법으로 제작하여 그 공정 변수에 따른 ITO 박막의 전기적 · 광학적 특성 변화를 고찰하였다. 기판에 인가한 bias 전압에 따른 ITO 박막의 면저항 및 광투과율은 bias 전압 -20V에서 -30V인 경우가 가장 우수하게 나타났으며 ITO 박막의 특성을 결정하는 결정성장방향은 (400)방향이 지배적인 것으로 나타났다 ITO thin fi1ms, as transparent electrodes in ac-PDP, should have low resistivity and high transparency. In this study, ITO thin films have been deposited on glass substrates using rf unbalanced magnetron sputtering(UBMS) with an oxide target(90wt.%In2O3-l0wt.%SnO2) as a parameter of substrate bias voltage. ITO films prepared by unbalanced magnetron sputtering were characterized by electrical resistivity, optical transmission, X-ray diffraction Films with low sheet resistances(Rs=16Ω at film thicknesses of 2000Å) and high visible transmission(~90%) have been achieved by -20[V]~ -30[V] of substrate bias voltages. Also, films with (400) plane have low sheet resistances.

      • 벼의 잎 ·목 稻熱病에 대한 抵抗性의 比較

        1. Differences in reactions of leaf and neck of rice plants to rice blast among four rice cultivars were observed in a paddy field. Cultivars Jinheung and Milyang 23 showed susceptible and resistant reactions, respectively, on both leaf and neck. Cultivar Norin 6 was susceptible to leaf blast and became intermediately resistant to neck blast whereas cultivar Ginga showed resistant and intermediately resistant reactions on leaf and neck, respectively. 2. Three different heading dates at 5 to 8 day intervals were induced by transplanting seedlings of four cultivars from seedling beds to a paddy field three times at 9 to 10 day intervals. When blast severity was compared within cultivars, leaf blast severity increased as heading dates became late. However, neck blast severity was greater in plots with early heading dates than those with late heading dates. 3. Spore germination of two isolates of Pyricularia oryzae in tissue extracts from leaf and neck of four rice cultivars indicated significant interactions between cultivars and isolates. However, spore germinations in leaf and neck extracts were not significantly different. Mean degree of hyphal growth of four P. oryzae isolates on the sheath adaxial epidermis indicated significant interactions between cultivars and isolates. 4. Some anatomical characteristics of leaf and neck of four cultivars did not have apparent relationship with the reactions of four cultivars to rice blast in the paddy field. Also, the amounts of the total nitrogen, sugar, P₂O??, and SiO in flag leaf and neck were not significantly different among four cultivars and did not seem to affect changes in reactions of cultivars Norin 6 and Ginga to leaf and neck blasts observed in the paddy field.

      • 고속 플라즈마 진단용 능동회로의 설계 및 응용

        본 논문에서는 자화 플라즈마의 파라메타를 측정할 수 있는 고속 푸르브 구동시스템을 구현하였다. 이 시스템은 1[msec] 이내에 -40 - +40[V]에 이르는 톱니파 전압을 푸르브에 인가시킬 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 2회 연속 미분을 행하여 전자에너지 분포함수를 구할 수 있었다. 이와 같이 고속 푸르브 구동시스템 및 2회 연속 미분회로를 이용하여 고속으로 거의 전형적인 푸르브 특성곡선을 얻을 수 있었고 2회 연속 미분회로로써 얻어진 전자에너지 분포하수에서 플라즈마의 중심부 보다 플라즈마의 가장자리에 고에너지를 가진 전자들이 많이 분포함을 알 수 있었다. In this paper ,we have realized the high speed probe driving circuit system which can measure the plasma parameters of magnetoplasma. By this system, the probe voltage can be seeped in a 1[msec] order. In addition, we can obtain the electron energy distribution function in magnetoplasma by using two differentiators. In this study, we obtain a complete probe characteristics, and find that the electron energy measured at the edge of plasma is larger than of electron measured at the center of plasma

      • Biological Activity of Recombinant Human Erythropoietin (EPO) In Vivo and In Vitro

        The hematopoietic growth factor erythropoietin (EPO) is required for the maintenance, proliferation, and differentiation of the stem cells that produce erythrocytes. To analyse the biological activity of the recombinant human EPO (rec-hEPO), we have cloned the EPO cDNA and genomic DNA and produced rec-hEPO in the CHO cell lines. The growth and differentiation of EPO-dependent human leukemic cell line (F36E) were used to measure cytokine dependency and in vitro bioactivity of rec-hEPO. MIT assay values were increased by survival of F36E cells at 24h or 72h. The hematocrit and RBC values were increased by subcutaneous injection of 20 IU (in mice) and 100IU(in rats) rec-hEPO. Hematocrit values remarkably increased at 13.2% (in mice) and 12.2% (in rats). The pharmacokinetic behavior with injection of 6 IU of rec-hEPO remained detectable after 24 h in all mice tested. The highest peat appeared at 2h after injection. The long half-life of rec-hEPO is likely to confer clinical advantages by allowing less frequent dosing in patients treated for anemia. These data demonstratethat ree-hEPO produced in this study has a potent activity in vivo and in vitro. The results also suggest that biological activity of ree-hEPO could be remarkably enhanced by genetic engineering that affects the potential activity, including mutants with added oligosaccharide chain and designed to produce EPO-EPO fusion protein.

        Diagnostic Performance of %[-2]proPSA and Prostate Health Index for Prostate Cancer: Prospective, Multi-institutional Study

        <P><B>Background</B></P><P>We evaluated the clinical performance of [-2]proPSA (p2PSA) and its derivatives in predicting the presence and aggressiveness of prostate cancer (PCa) in Korean men.</P><P><B>Methods</B></P><P>A total of 246 men with total prostate-specific antigen (tPSA) ≥ 3.5 ng/mL who underwent their first prostate biopsy were included in this prospective, multicenter, observational study. Diagnostic accuracy of tPSA, free-to-total PSA ratio (%fPSA), p2PSA, %p2PSA, and the Beckman Coulter prostate health index (PHI) was assessed by receiver operating characteristic curve analyses and logistic regression analyses.</P><P><B>Results</B></P><P>Overall, PCa was detected in 125 (50.8%) subjects. In men with tPSA 3.5–10 ng/mL, the detection rate of PCa was 39.4% (61/155). In this group, PHI and %p2PSA were the most accurate predictors of PCa and significantly outperformed tPSA and %fPSA; area under the curve for tPSA, %fPSA, %p2PSA, and PHI was 0.56, 0.69, 0.74, and 0.76, respectively. PHI was also the strongest predictor of PCa with Gleason score ≥ 7.</P><P><B>Conclusion</B></P><P>This study demonstrates the superior clinical performance of %p2PSA and PHI in predicting the presence and aggressiveness of PCa in Korean men. The %p2PSA and PHI appear to improve detection of PCa and provide prognostic information.</P>
