설화그림카드를 활용한 자기성장 집단 문학치료 프로그램 사례연구 : <해와 달>그림카드를 중심으로

이 연구에서는 자기성장을 원하는 참여자들이 설화 <해와 달이 된 오누이>와 <해와 달이 된 오누이>설화 그림카드를 활용한 ‘다시쓰기’ 활동을 하고, 이를 집단 문학치료프로그램에서 나누는 과정을 통해 ‘부모로부터의 심리적 독립’을 탐색해볼 수 있도록 하였다. 설화 선정은 참여자들이 <해와 달이 된 오누이>에 대해 ‘부모로부터의 심리적 독립’의 이야기로 읽고 반응한다는 기존 연구를 근거로 이루어졌다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 연구 참여자 대부분은 자신이 부모에게 바라는 욕구에 대해 알아차릴 수 있었다. 둘째, 참여자들은 부모와의 관계를 탐색하거나 재조정해보는 통찰을 얻을 수 있었다. 셋째, 설화뿐 아니라, 제시된 설화 그림카드는 참여자들이 정서적 갈등을 투사하고 촉진하도록 도울 수 있었다. 넷째, ‘다시쓰기’ 전과 후, 설화 그림카드 작업들은 참여자들이 이야기의 방향과 줄거리, 주인공을 선정하는 데에도 효과적인 역할을 하였다. 문학치료에서 이야기를 재구성하는 과정이 자신의 내면을 탐색하는 데 있어 효과적이라는 것은 조은상의 이전 논문에서 검증된 결과이나, 설화 그림카드를 개발하여 활용하는 것은 아직 연구 중에 있다. 추후 지속적인 연구를 통해 설화 그림카드의 유용성과 효과성에 대한 검증이 이루어져야 하겠지만, 이 연구를 통해 설화 그림카드를 설화와 함께 사용하는 것이 참여자들이 내면에 있는 갈등을 투사하는 데에 효과적이고, 보다 명확히 자신의 내면을 표현할 수 있도록 도움을 주었음이 밝혀졌다는 점이 이 연구의 의의라 하겠다. In this study, participants wanting to mature, engaged in ‘re-writing’ activities using a folktale “The Brother and Sister Who Became the Sun and the Moon” and folktale picture cards <The Brother and Sister Who Became the Sun and the Moon>, and explored their psychological independence from their parents through sharing their stories in a group setting. This specific folktale was selected based on existing research where participants read and responded to “The Brother and Sister Who Became the Sun and the Moon” as a story of psychological independence from parents. The results of the study are as follows. Firstly, most of the participants in the study were able to recognize what they need from their parents. Secondly, participants were able to gain insights necessary for exploring or readjusting the relationship with their parents. Thirdly, the suggested folktale picture cards along with the folktale were useful for the participants to project and examine their emotional conflicts. Lastly, before and after re-writing activities, the folktale picture card work played an effective role in participants choosing the direction, plot, and protagonists of their stories. Even though the effectiveness of reconstructing stories in literary therapy to explore one’s inner self has been researched in previous studies, such as Cho Eun Sang’s papers, the topic of developing and utilizing folktale picture cards is still being explored. This study examined the ways in which using folktale picture cards in a literary therapy group helped participants project their inner conflicts and express themselves more clearly and effectively. This study also suggests that future studies will verify the usefulness and effectiveness of folktale picture cards.
Effect of Highly Pressurized Hydrogen Gas Charging on the Hydrogen Embrittlement of API X70 Steel

During the use of API X70 steel as a pipeline structural material for the transportation of natural gas,hydrogen embrittlement can occur due to the hydrogen contained in natural gas. The aim of this study is toinvestigate the effects of the hydrogen content under high-pressure hydrogen gas conditions on the hydrogenembrittlement of air-cooled API X70 steel. The air-cooled API X70 steel was manufactured by hot rollingand was then air-cooled to room temperature. Tensile test specimens were held for 0 h, 1000 h, and 2000 hwithin a pressure vessel filled with 100% hydrogen gas at a gas pressure of 10 MPa, with the tensile teststhen performed at room temperature. The microstructure of the API X70 steel consists of coarse polygonalferrite, coarse pearlite, and fine acicular ferrite. The yield and tensile strength increased and elongationdecreased considerably after a holding time of 2000 h compared to those of 0 h and 1000 h within the pressurevessel. The morphology of the fracture surface changed from ductile to brittle upon hydrogen gas charging. Secondary cracks were observed in both of the hydrogen-gas-charged specimens. No external cracks wereformed on the surface of the tensile-tested specimen with a 0 h holding time; however, many external crackswere observed on the specimen surface subjected to hydrogen gas charging.

Background: Narrowband UV-B (NBUVB) phototherapy is the primary treatment for vitiligo, however, hyperpigmentation at the treated areas is one of the limitations of phototherapy. Topical tretinoin cream has been well established to be effective for skin pigmentary disorders including melasma Objectives: To investigate the preventive effect of tretinoin 0.05% cream on hyperpigmentation during phototherapy in patients with vitiligo. Methods: A randomized controlled trial based on split-face was performed. Adult patients aged 19 years or older with stable non-segmental vitiligo that was symmetrically distributed over the face were enrolled. The left/right sides of the face were randomized to either tretinoin or placebo cream groups. All lesions were treated using NBUVB phototherapy twice weekly for a total of 12-week period. The degrees of repigmentation and hyperpigmentation were assessed every 4 weeks. Results: A total of 25 patients (12 females, a median of 56.3 years old) were enrolled. The repigmentation rates of both sites was similar to each other. But, 3 showed hyperpigmentation in the tretinoin cream group, while 14 showed hyperpigmentation in the placebo group. Conclusion: Tretinoin 0.05% cream showed significant preventive effects to hyperpigmentation during phototherapy in patients with vitiligo.
Micropunch grafting for hypopigmented burn scar

Punch grafting has been used to treat refractory vitiligo; but the principal limitations were the lengthy treatment time and resulting cobblestone appearance. Recently, motorized 0.8-mm micropunch grafting was introduced; this overcomes the disadvantages of the conventional approach. Micropunch grafting could be conveniently and successfully used to treat not only vitiligo, but also various intractable depigmentation skin disorders including hypopigmented burn scars. A 57-year-old male presented with a hypopigmented scar on his left shoulder. The scar developed after he had personally removed a tattoo using vinegar 10 years prior. Thereafter, he had undergone excimer laser treatment for 12 months at a clinic, but the depigmentation did not improve. We performed micropunch grafting using a stainless-steel punch 0.8 mm in diameter loaded into the handpiece of a micromotor (SST-C1; Ilooda Co., Suwon, Korea). First, after local anesthesia, the full-thickness skin was removed to create chambers for planting grafts using the instrument at the recipient site. Then, micropunch grafts were harvested from the post-auricular region (the donor site). Next, the grafts were placed into the recipient chambers. Hydrocolloid and Steri-Strip dressings were applied to the donor and recipient sites, respectively. One week later, twice weekly, 308-nm excimer laser treatment was initiated, and complete repigmentation was attained by 3 months.
Polymorphisms in Apoptosis-Related Genes and <i>TP53</i> Mutations in Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer

<P>Apoptosis plays an essential role in the elimination of mutated or transformed cells from the body. Therefore, polymorphisms of apoptosis-related genes may lead to an alteration in apoptotic capacity, thereby affecting the occurrence of <I>TP53</I> mutations in lung cancer. We investigated the relationship between potentially functional polymorphisms of apoptosis-related genes and <I>TP53</I> mutations in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Twenty-seven single nucleotide polymorphisms in 20 apoptosis-related genes were genotyped by a sequenome mass spectrometry-based genotyping assay in 173 NSCLCs and the associations with <I>TP53</I> mutations in the entire coding exons (exons 2-11), including splicing sites of the gene, were analyzed. None of the 27 polymorphisms was significantly associated with the occurrence of <I>TP53</I> mutations. This suggests that apoptosis-related genes may not play an important role in the occurrence of <I>TP53</I> mutations in lung cancer.</P>
A Korean case of neurofibromatosis type 1 with an exonic splicing enhancer site mutation

Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) is an autosomal dominant disease characterized by neurological, cutaneous, and ophthalmological manifestations. A 33-year-old woman with typical symptoms of NF1 visited Ajou University Hospital. Screening of the whole-messenger RNA region of NF1 at the complementary DNA level by polymerase chain reaction-direct sequencing confirmed the presence of an NF1 mutation at the genomic level. The mutation analysis revealed an in-frame skipping of exon 46 (c.6757_6858del) caused by a point mutation (c. 6792C>A) in exon 46. In this report, we have described the first Korean case of a proband with NF1 that carries an allele with an exon 46 deletion caused by an exonic splicing enhancer site mutation, leading to the skipping of the whole of exon 46 (c.6757_6858del).
