This simulator is developed for the analysis of a MOSFET based on Thermally Coupled Energy Transport Model(TCETM). The simulator has the ability to calculate not only stationary characteristics but also non - stationary characteristics of a MOSFET. It solves basic semiconductor devices equations including Possion equation, current continuity equations for electrons and holes, energy balance equation for electrons and heat flow equation, using finite difference method. The conventional semiconductor device simulation technique, based on the Drift-Diffusion Model (DDM), neglects the thermal and other energy-related properties of a miniaturized device. I, therefore, developed a simulator based on the Thermally Coupled Energy Transport Model (TCETM) which treats not only steady-state but also transient phenomena of such a small-size MOSFET. In particular, the present paper investigates the breakdown characteristics in transient conditions. As a result, we found that the breakdown voltage has been largely underestimated by the DDM in transient conditions.<br/> <br/>

In present much CMOS devices used in VLSI circuit and Logic circuit. With increasing a number of device in VLSI, the confidence becomes more serious. This paper describe the mechanism of breakdown on CMOS, especially n-MOS, based on Hydro Dynamic model with device self-heating. Additionally, illustrate the CMOS latch-up characteristics on simplified device structure on this paper.<br/>
노이즈 제거 알고리즘을 적용한 전도성 섬유 기반 손목형 ECG 시스템의 구현

In recent years, the convergence of IT technology and all industries is taking place rapidly. In the textile industry, smart clothes or smart fiber combined with IT technology are emerging as a future high value-added industry. In this paper, we implemented the conductive fiber-based wrist ECG (Electrocardiogram) system with noise rejection algorithm. Namely, electrodes using conductive fibers were manufactured in a band of wrist parts to measure ECG signals and to eliminate noise with a digital filter. The noise rejection algorithm was also used to minimize the malfunction rate during the activity. The experiment results show that the performances of the proposed wrist ECG system are good. In particular, we were able to avoid heart rate measurement errors that could be generated by user’s movements after wearing a fiber-type ECG system because of noise rejection algorithm.

In recent years, IT technology has been growing explosively with smart phones, and it has become a necessary component for all industries. Also, “smart clothing” and “smart fiber”, which are combined with IT technology and the textile industry, is attracting attention as a high value-added industry. Among them, wearable u-health device enables users to measure health variable without any sense of difference, have free hands and live without inconvenience. However, electrocardiogram (ECG) signals, which are bio-signals, are measured by using a band-type chest band or patch type Ag-AgCI electrode using conductive fibers to measure the wrist and ankle signals. Then the sense of heterogeneity was not completely resolved. In this paper, we fabricated electrodes using conductive fibers in the form of wrist bands to identify noise and P-QRS-T wave form in ECG signal measurement, the filter type and P-QRS-T wave signal to remove noise and the filter coefficient that can be realized by the digital filter. In addition, we measured the heart rate using RR-interval and compared it with Matron equipment to minimize the heterogeneity of smart clothing. From the experiment results, we verified the performances of the proposed conductive fiber-based wrist ECG system.

Background : Lung cancer is one of the most common malignancy in the world. Types of lung cancer are Non small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer. Subtypes of Non small cell lung cancer are adenocarcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and large cell carcinoma. Knowing the type of lung cancer is important in determining both treatment and prognosis. Recently, due to newly developed anti-cancer drugs, squamous cell carcinoma has relatively poor prognosis than non-squamous cell carcinoma. Case : We report a squamous cell lung cancer case treated with allergen removed Rhus verniciflua Stokes (aRVS) extract. The patients initially diagnosed stage squamous cell lung carcinoma, but she refused recommended operation. She initiated aRVS extract monotherapy in October. 2006. The follow up Computed tomography in March. 2007, she diagnosed stable disease of tumor response on aRVS treatment. However, this case was lost to follow up for 6 months while she was treated with tomotherapy. In October 2007, she came back to our cancer center after diagnosed stage IV metastasized lung to lung, and aRVS monotherapy was restarted. She had survived 2 years after metastasis of squamous cell lung carcinoma. Conclusion : Allergen removed Rhus verniciflua Stokes(aRVS) sucessfully prolonged overall survival of a squamous cell lung cancer patient.
쑥뜸치료(Moxibustion)로 호전된 비소세포성 폐암 환자의 암성 통증 1례

Background & Objective: Regardless of types of cancer, cancer pain means the pain occurred by tumor itself, caused by complication or side effects during treatment and which is neither directly related to tumor nor treatment. This case was performed to relieve the cancer pain and study the effect of moxibustion to the cancer pain. Method: For 27 days, the patient was treated by moxibustion($MANINA^{(R)}$), acupuncture, herbal medicine and narcotic analgesics. We planned to maintain moxibustion on 8 points of Bladder meridian line(BL13, BL17, BL42, BL43) for 20 minutes. The improvement of the symptom was evaluated by BPI/VAS, and the amount of narcotic analgesics applied. Results: The BPI/VAS was declined and amount of applying narcotic analgesics was decreased. Conclusion: It is suggested that moxibustion on BL13, BL17, BL42, BL43 is useful to relief of cancer pain in left flank area.
절제불가능한 위암의 위장관 출혈에 대한 보중익기탕 가미방 투여 1례

Approximately 10 percent of advanced stomach cancer patients have internal bleeding in their stomach. It is crucial to treat internal bleeding since it severely deteriorates patient's condition, and disturbs process of chemotherapy. There are hemostatic agents and dressing, radiotherapy, endoscopic ligation and coagulation, surgical methods to treat bleeding. However, these methods cannot be executed in some cases in which patient is in terminal stage or not in desirable condition to take these treatments. We are going to introduce a case of advanced gastric cancer patient having stomach bleeding who made a choice to take oriental medical treatments. The patient was on third stage of stomach cancer, had 3200cc of blood transfusion for five times. After diagnosed as not being able to have resection, he started to oriental medical treatments to stop bleeding. From March 28, 2009 to April 16, 2009, we administer 120cc Bojungikgi-tang gamibang to the patient in 90minutes after each meal. During 19days of having Bojungikgi-tang gamibang, we observed that the patient needed significantly lower amount blood transfusion, to 640cc. The patient improves in performance, and was able to eat more. Despite of short period of observation, this case indicates that Bojungikgi-tang gamibang treatment to the patient could work as hemostat, further improved quality of patient's life.
