The objective of this study was to investigate the validity of the digital ergonomic simulation (DES) method as a prospective alternative to the ergonomic analyses conducted by experts. The DES method utilizes commercial digital manufacturing software, and can compute the RULA scores continuously throughout the simulated work cycle. It was shown in a case study that the accuracy and objectivity of the DES method are superior to those obtained by experts. Also, it was demonstrated that the DES method has a distinct capability to simulate and validate a proposed work plan. Major limitations of the current DES method lie in the extensive time and efforts required for accurate digital simulation, which may be overcome through an automatic module for RULA data acquisition and a motion capture system.
유연 다물체 동역학 해석을 통한 휠로더의 피로 해석 방법 개발

In order to increase the completeness of the wheel loader, it is desirable to measure the durability of each part of the design process to predict the weak portion in advance. In this paper, the wheel loader simulation for the Front Frame is performed for the specific operations (V-cycle) by using the Durability toolkit of RecurDyn. In this application program, the fatigue analysis is separated three steps. The first step is to search the weak portion of the wheel loader. Next step is Rainflow counting process. The last step is to perform the fatigue analysis using the load history which is already calculated. The result of fatigue analysis is also verified by the experimental data.
FMI를 이용한 RecurDyn과 SimulationX의 휠로더 통합 해석

The construction machinery is a field where CAE is used actively. The purpose of CAE in this field can be divided into two major things. The one is structure including fatigue analysis, and another is performance analysis. Conventionally, structure analysis is achieved by static FEM, and fatigue analysis software. On the other hands, for the performance analysis 1D simulation software is used widely. In the side of structure analysis, driving, and actuating forces are simplified as boundary conditions, on the other hands, in the side of performance analysis, these forces are modeled in detail, but the structure model is simplified in general. If they use advantages of each side together, it would be good for engineers to get much realistic simulation result. For this purpose functional mockup interface (FMI) is appeared. This paper represent FMI example between hydraulic system in SimulationX, and multi body system in RecurDyn for the construction machinery.

There are many 3D CAD models used in industry because of getting productivity to design, plan and manufacture products. There are made a lot of 3D CAD models per year and they had shared between different stakeholders or different departments in same company. Because the 3D CAD models been shared aren't able to have confidence in engineers on different departments, to make 3D CAD models assured spends a lot of time and it needs to assure the quality of 3D CAD models. This study has the idea of the methodology about quality assurance of 3D CAD models and presents the framework to use the assurance system efficiently.
