Consolidated Standards of Reporting Trials의 소개: 무작위 대조군 연구의 보고 지침

Recently, there are lots methodologies to improve the quality of research in medical and public health fields. One of them is to checking a process of research with a reporting guideline before reporting paper. Especially, reporting guideline for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) is the consolidated standards of reporting trials (CONSORT). Therefore, this review describes the latest version of the CONSORT statement, CONSORT2010, including intent, background, and contents of this. The CONSORT statement comprises a checklist of essential items that should be included in reports of RCTs and a diagram for documenting the flow of participants through a trial. This report guideline aims at providing guidance to authors about how to improve the reporting of their trials. As consulting the CONSORT, authors could be strictly reported about research methods and results. From this review, we expect to elevate the quality of such research about dental hygiene and to establish the foundation for evidence-based dental hygiene.

함 요동에 따른 ISAR 영상품질 분석 및 산란점 위치 식별 연구

표적의 요동이 발생하는 상황에서 2차원 inverse synthetic aperture radar(ISAR) 영상 형성시 관측시간동안 표적평면과 영상투영면의 부정합이 지속적으로 발생하게 된다. 두 평면사이의 부정합은 cross-range의 비선형성뿐만 아니라, downrange의 왜곡을 야기한다. 본 논문에서는 2차원 ISAR 영상 엔트로피를 이용하여 ISAR 영상품질을 분석하고, 표적요동정보를 이용하여 표적 입사방위각과 고각을 계산하여 영상투영면의 시간적 변화특성을 분석하였다. 또한, 표적의 radar cross section(RCS) 저감방안을 마련하기 위해 입사방위각과 고각을 이용하여 표적의 RCS 특성을 분석하고, RCS 분석결과에 따라 표적내 산란점 위치를 식별하였다. 그리고, time windowing 최적화 기법을 이용하여 관측시간동안 표적의 영상투영면이 최소한으로 변화하는 구간을 찾아 ISAR 영상분석을 수행하였다. Misalignments between the target plane and image projection plane occur continuously during the observation period when a two-dimensional (2D) inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) image is formed while the target fluctuates. The mismatch between the two planes causes not only cross-range nonlinearity but also down-range distortion in the ISAR image. This study analyzed the quality of ISAR images via 2D entropy, and the target aspect and elevation angles were calculated using target motion information. To reduce the radar cross section (RCS) of the target, the RCS characteristics of the target were analyzed based on the aspect and elevation angle, and the scattering point position in the target was identified according to the RCS analysis results. In addition, upon application of the time-windowing optimization technique, ISAR image analysis was performed to determine the section in which misalignment between the target plane and image projection plane is minimum during the observation period.

최근 건강에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 웰빙음식과 더불어 건강하게 사는 삶을 추구하는 사회적 이념과 비만이 질병이라는 관점에서 일상 생활이 바쁜 현대인에게 적합한 비만예방 프로그램이 많지 않다. 따라서 본 논문은 BMI 를 이용한 다이어트 웹앱을 설계하고 시간적 공간적으로 제안없이 현대인의 일상에서 간편하게 비만을 예방하는 프로그램을 개발하고자 한다.

인공신경망을 이용한 MMORPG 설계의 핵심성공요인 식별

NC소프트, NHN, 넥슨 등 국내 업체들을 필두로 최근 대규모 다중 사용자 온라인 롤플레잉 게임(Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game, 이하 MMORPG) 시장이 크게 확대되고 있다. 하지만, MMORPG의 경우 막대한 초기투자비용이 소요되는데 반해, 성공으로 이어지는 게임의 수는 그 수가 매우 적어, 초기 기획 단계부터 사용자들의 구미에 맞는 게임을 설계하는 것이 국내 MMORPG 산업에 있어 주요한 도전과제로 대두되고 있다. 이러한 배경 하에 본 연구는 MMORPG에 대한 사용자 만족에 영향을 미치는 주요 설계 요소들을 기존 문헌을 통해 도출하고, 이들 요소들 중 MMORPG 게임의 만족도 및 지불의향에 가장 크게 영향을 미치는 핵심 요인들은 무엇인지 식별해 보고자 하였다. 주로 분석적 계층 프로세스(AHP) 기법을 이용해 MMORPG 설계요소에 대한 분석을 시도한 기존 연구들과 달리, 본 연구에서는 대표적인 인공지능 기법 중 하나인 인공신경망 기법을 이용해, MMORPG 설계의 핵심성공요인을 식별해 보고자 하였다. 분석결과, 사용자의 만족도에는 부가가치 시스템 관련 요인들보다는 게임 컨텐츠 자체의 품질과 관련한 요인들이 더 크게 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 반면 사용자의 지불의향에는 부가가치 시스템 관련 요인들이 게임 컨텐츠의 품질 관련 요인들보다 더 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 본 연구의 결과는 MMORPG 사용자의 만족을 결정하는 설계요소와 지불의향을 결정하는 설계요소 사이에는 서로 차이가 있기 때문에, 게임의 성격과 시장진출 전략에 따라 업체에서 집중해야 할 설계요소가 반드시 달라져야 함을 시사한다. 아울러, 만족도와 지불의향 모두에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 설계 요소는 ‘사용자 인터페이스(user interface)’라는 사실도 함께 확인할 수 있었는데, 이는 사용자가 편리하고 직관적으로 조작할 수 있는 환경이 기본적으로 제공되지 않는 한 MMORPG의 사용자 만족과 수익창출 모두 달성되기 어렵다는 점을 우리에게 시사한다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 본 연구의 시사점들은 향후 MMORPG 개발업체나 유통업체의 전략 수립에 유용하게 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games(MMORPGs) headed by some Korean game companies such as NC Soft, NHN, and Nexon have exploded in recent years. However, it becomes one of the major challenges for the MMORPG developers to design their games to appeal to gamers since only a few MMORPGs succeed whereas they require a huge amount of initial investment. Under this background, our study derives the major elements for designing MMORPG from the literature, and identifies the ones critical to the users’ satisfaction and their willingness to pay among the derived elements. Though most previous studies on the design elements of MMORPG have used analytic hierarchy process(AHP), our study adopts artificial neural network(ANN) as the tool for identifying key success factors in designing MMORPG. The results of our study show that the elements of the game contents quality have a bigger effect on the user’s satisfaction, whereas the ones of the value-added systems have a bigger effect on the user’s willingness to pay. They also show that user interface affects both the user’s satisfaction and willingness to pay most. These results imply that the strategies for the development of MMORPG should be aligned with its goal and market penetration strategy. They also imply that the satisfaction and revenue generation from MMORPG cannot be achieved without convenient and easy control environment. It is expected that the new findings of our study would be useful forthe developers or publishers of MMORPGs to build their own business strategies.

With a dramatic increase in the older population, there is a growing interest in strategies for managing oral disorders in the elderly. This study aims to introduce oral frailty and propose dental and oral health services for older people. This study reviewed the literature on oral frailty and frailty in older people by searching academic databases, government documents, and related websites. There is a growing awareness that the recovery and maintenance of oral function help delay the onset of frailty and conditions requiring nursing care, thereby extending a healthy life expectancy. The Japanese Society of Gerodontology (JSG) proposed the concept of oral hypofunction. JSG defined oral hypofunction as a presentation of 7 signs or symptoms: oral uncleanness, oral dryness, a decline in occlusal force, decline in the motor function of the tongue and lips, decrease in tongue pressure, decline in chewing function, and reduction in the swallowing function. JSG suggested diagnosing oral hypofunction if the criteria for three or more signs or symptoms are met. More evidence should be gathered from clinical studies and trials in the Korean community care setting to develop better diagnostic criteria and management strategies for the Korean elderly. Better health in older people can be achieved by strengthening the dental and oral health provider’s accountability of healthcare systems. The evolving concept of oral frailty paves the way for effective dental care for the elderly in Korea.
