This was a clinical trial study to aid the recovery of elderly female alcoholic liver disease patients by providing a balanced nutritional supplement comprising soymilk. All patients gave their consent before enrolling. The average demographics of the subjects were age 81.57 years, height 150.43 cm, weight 52.67 kg, and body mass index 24.15 kg/m<sup>2</sup>. An increase in the daily consumption of fruits and fruit juice was observed after the patients had started taking the balanced meal as compared to before. Intakes of vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, and cholesterol decreased after consuming soymilk, whereas vitamin B<sub>12</sub>, niacin, folic acid, and dietary fiber significantly increased (P<0.05). Blood cholesterol and BUN levels showed a decreasing tendency. Our results indicate that consuming soymilk in a balanced diet for female patients afflicted with alcoholic liver disease helps improve their nutritional status by increasing the nutrients lacking in the body.

For the possible application of pearl pigment, multi-layered $TiO_2/Al,\;Cr/TiO_2$ thin film were deposited on $SiO_2$ substrate by using sputtering method, $TiO_2$ and Al or Cr was selected as a possible high and low refraction material at the film interface respectively. Optical properties including color effect were systematically studied in terms of different film thickness and film layers by using spectrometer. In order to expect the experimental results, the simulation program, the Essential Macleod Program(EMP) was adopted and compared with the experimental data. The film consisting of $TiO_2/Al,\;Cr/TiO_2$ layers shows a wavelength range of $430{\sim}760nm$, typically color ranges between bluish purple and red. It was confirmed that this experimental result was quite well consistent with the experimental one.

This paper presents a virtual machine design simulation program. Kinematics of various mechanisms can be modeled with 3 dimensional geometry and actuators. CAD data for any machine component can be easily imported in STL format. Machine components are assembled with kinematic joints simply by drag and drop function in virtual graphic simulator. Interference and collision of any component with other components can be identified during the motion simulation. Graphic user interface program is developed using Microsoft Direct X code. A precision micro stage system is demonstrated with the proposed virtual machine design simulator.
DLC 코팅된 60E1(UIC60) 강의 건조 마찰에서의 미끄럼 마찰 거동

본 논문은 철도 레일용으로 사용되는 60E1 강 표면에 RF-PECVD 방법으로 Si-doped DLC 코팅과 non-doped DLC 코팅을 제작하여 ball-on-disk형 마찰시험기로 실험을 수행하고 DLC 코팅층의 경도와 마찰 특성을 평가하였다. 시험 결과, Si-doped DLC 코팅층의 경도가 non-doped DLC 코팅층보다 높게 나타났으며 마찰 계수는 낮게 나타났다. SEM 사진의 미시적 마찰면의 관찰 결과, non-doped DLC면에는 표면균열과 응착에 의한 마찰면이 관찰되었고, Si-doped DLC의 마찰면은 응착 유동에 의한 응착과 이착이 주된 마찰 메카니즘이었다. In this study, the nano-hardness and frictional behavior of non-doped DLC (diamond-like carbon) and Sidoped DLC coated 60E1 steel deposited by RF-PECVD method were investigated. The results showed that Si-doped DLC exhibited higher nano-hardness and lower friction coefficient than the non-doped DLC from ball-on-disk type tribometer. By using SEM (scanning electron microscope), SEM images showed friction mechanism of the base material was adhesion and that of DLC showed adhesion and brittle fracture. owever, Si-doped DLC showed adhesion friction and transfer layer of DLC to counterpart.

Diaphragmatic eventration is an abnormal elevation of an intact diaphragm into the thoracic cavity as a result of paralysis, aplasia or atrophy of muscular fibers, which accounts for 5~10% of all diaphragmatic disorders. Congenital eventration result from a incomplete muscularization of the pleuroperitoneal membranes at 8~10 weeks` menstrual age, the cause of this failure is not known. Although some patients are asymptomatic and find out incidentally, significant compression of the affected chest contents can result in severe respiratory distress. The differentiation between congenital diaphragmatic eventration and congenital diaphragmatic hernia by sonography may be difficult, but important because of a significant differences in postnatal management and prognosis. We experienced a case of right congenital diaphragmatic eventration with severe respiratory distress during immediate postnatal period, who was initially diagnosed as congenital diaphragmatic hernia and performed plication at 18 hours after birth. So we report this case with review of literatures.
