Positive temperature coefficient of resistivity (PTCR) characteristics of (1-x)$BaTiO_3-x(Bi_{0.5}K_{0.5})TiO_3$ ceramics doped with $Nb_2O_5$ were investigated in order to develop the Pb-free PTC thermistor available at high temperatures of > $120^{\circ}C$. The PTCR characteristics appearing in the ($B_{i0.5}K_{i0.5})TiO_3$ (< 5 mol%) incorporated $BaTiO_3$ ceramics, which might be mainly due to $Bi^{+3}$ ions substituting for $Ba^{+2}$ sites. The 0.99$BaTiO_3-0.01(Bi_{0.5}K_{0.5})TiO_3$ ceramics showed good PTCR characteristics of a low resistivity at room temperature (${\rho}_r$) of $31{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$ a high ${\rho}_{max}/{\rho}_{min}$ ratio of $5.38{\times}10^3$, and a high resistivity temperature factor (${\alpha}$) of $17.8%/^{\circ}C$. The addition of $Nb_2O_5$ to 0.99$BaTiO_3-0.01(Bi_{0.5}K_{0.5})TiO_3$ ceramics further improved the PTCR characteristics. Especially, 0.025 mol% $Nb_2O_5$ doped 0.99$BaTiO_3-0.01(Bi_{0.5}K_{0.5})TiO_3$ ceramics exhibited a significantly increased ${\rho}_{max}/{\rho}_{min}$ ratio of $8.7{\times}10^3$ and a high ${\alpha}$ of $18.6%/^{\circ}C$, along with a high $T_c$ of $148^{\circ}C$ despite a slightly increased ${\rho}_r$ of $31{\Omega}{\cdot}cm$.

Three-dimensionally polycaprolactone(PCL) nanofiber reinforced alginate hydrogel scaffold were fabricated for the regeneration of functional cartilage construct with G-glucono-δ-lactone(GDL) cross linker that was applied to alginate hydrogel crosslinking with calcium carbonate (CaCO<SUB>3</SUB>) to maintain its structural integrity. In order to analyze new types of PCL nanofiber/alginate gel composite scaffold, four kinds of PCL nanofiber/alginate hydrogel composite scaffold were fabricated depends on the amount of nanofiber using dual-nozzle electrospinning process. Young’s moduli of each composite scaffolds were increased better than alginate only structure, also its value nearly approached normal articular cartilage. In conclusion, these results indicate feasibility of the new type of functional scaffold for cartilage regeneration from PCL nanofiber/alginate hydrogel composite scaffold.

Recently, there has been demand for polymeric porous membranes in various fields, such as environmental engineering, pharmaceutics, tissue engineering, drug delivery, biology, and fuel cells. In this study, it is proposed that a polymer particle-based porous membrane can be fabricated using electrospraying and sintering processes. Electrospraying can fabricate polymeric particles with diameters ranging from several micrometers to tens of nanometers without the cumbersome particle aggregation problem. Additionally, the particles can be sintered through thermo-compression under the glass transition temperature. In this study, a polymethyl methacrylate particle-based porous membrane with an average pore size of less than 500 nm is fabricated using the proposed method.

Tool condition monitoring plays one of the most important roles in the improvement of both machining quality and productivity. In this regard, various process signals and monitoring methods have been developed. However, most of the existing studies used cutting force or acoustic emission signals, which posed risks of interference with the machining system in dynamics, fixturing, and machining configuration. In this study, a feed motor current signal is used as a process signal representing process and tool states in tool breakage monitoring based on an adaptive autoregressive model and unsupervised neural network. From the experimental results using various cases of tool breakage, it is shown that the developed system can successfully detect tool breakage before two revolutions of the spindle after tool breakage.

Recently, various biochip environments have been presented. In this study, a novel transparent film with porous membrane windows, which is an essential component in a co-cultured biochip environment, is fabricated using spin-coating, 3D printing, and electrospinning processes. In detail, a transparent polystyrene film was fabricated by means of the spin-coating process followed by window cutting, after which apolycaprolactone-chloroform solution was deposited along the window edge to introduce an adhesion layer between the PS film and the PCL nanofibers. Nanofibers were electrospun into the window region using a direct-write electrospinning method. Consequently, it was demonstrated that the fabricated window film could be used in a co-culture biochip environment.

This paper discusses the origins, instutionalization process and background of the Gaecheon-jeol(開天節) Gaecheon-jeol is one of the national holidays of Korea. The date is October 3. It was commemorated from 1909 the late Chosun period, and was legislated as a national holiday in 1949 by Korean Government.’ Certainly the Gaecheon-jeol is a kind of ’Invenyed Tradition’. But it was not fabricated in a day. It was based on the resources which long Korean history had bequeathed. And it was not invented by state power or capital on the purpose of ruling purpose. But it was proposed by patriotic nationalists who devoted themselves to the welfare of their compatriots. It also was not invented for a power, and there are no conspiracy for domination to people. The Gaecheon-jeol started with the purpose to liberate and integrate the Korean people. And the hopes of Korean people to make a community beyond individual interests were comboned with the Gaecheon-jeol celebration. We can say Gaecheon-jeol was a product of nationalism. But Gaecheon-jeol’s nationalism was different to that of post-modernists. It also had no connection with dictatorship, aggression, chauvinism and totalitarianism.

이 논문은 한국사 속에서 ‘단군의 자손’의식이나 단군의 자손 단결론을 기조로 하여 존재해오던 일련의 현상들을 ‘단군민족주의’라는 개념 범주하에 묶고, 그것이 형성ㆍ전 개돼온 과정ㆍ추이와 그것이 민족운동사 내지 근대화운동사-정치사 속에서 가지는 의의를 분석한 글이다. 단군은 『삼국유사』 이래 700년 이상을 한민족의 국조 또는 족조로 인식돼왔으며, 한민족이 외침에 의해 위기에 직면하거나 진취적 기상이 높을 때마다 부각되어 민족통합과 민족의식 결집의 구심점으로 강조되어 왔는데, 특히 일제기를 통해서 한민족이 일제의 무단적 탄압에 맞서 목숨을 바쳐 광복투쟁을 계속해올 수 있었던 에너지의 상당부분은 단군을 매개로 해서 ‘단군민족주의’운동에 의해 조성된 것이었다. 한말-일제 초기의 ‘단군민족주의’는, 민족의식과 함께 민권의식을 수반하고 있었으며, 그것이 가졌던 정치적 성격은 탈중세ㆍ근대지향 적이었다 할 수 있다. 그리고 삼일운동후의 ‘단군민족주의’는 민족연합전선운동을 촉진하는 대의명분을 제공하였고, 나아가 삼균주의(三均主義)나 신민족주의(新民族主義) 같은 정치이론으로 체계화되어 통일운동을 선도하였다. ‘단군민족주의’는 대한민국 정부수립후 국가적 의례속에 제도화하였지만, 냉전이 민족내부로 확산되고 사회전반에서 서구화ㆍ근대화ㆍ다원화가 진전되면서 퇴조하는 듯한 양상을 보이고 있다. 그러나 그것은 한민족이 민족통일이나 국민통합ㆍ윤리건설과 같은 현재적 과제를 도모함에 있어 활용할 수 있는 역사로부터 물려받은 중요한 자산의 하나이다.

In this study a sensor for parallelism measurement for a bonding process was developed. To measure the inclination angle between two planes, four flexures based on leaf spring was introduced to the sensor design and the bending strains of four flexures were used in the estimation of inclination angles which were roll and pitch. Consequently, it was demonstrated that the estimation accuracy of the inclination angles could be improved to be three-times higher than that of prescale pressure film in existing method.
