The USV performs various missions including mine detection and marine reconnaissance and survey unmanned. As the autonomic software for USV takes charge of detection, decision, and command instead of human, the verification and validation (V&V) of the software is highly required at the early design stage. Due to the difficulty of such V&V before the real USV is made, the virtual prototype of USV and ocean space are adopted in this study. For mine detection mission, which is one of the most important mission of USV, four modules are developed and implemented here; scenario management and display module, USV motion analysis module, submarine topography synthesis module, and mine detection module. The mine detection module represents the control algorithm in autonomic software, and the rest of the modules are virtual prototype which represents the ocean space and hardware in USV such as GPS (Global Positioning System) and SSS (Side Scan Sonar). With the virtual prototype modules, the control algorithm in mine detection module is verified. Meanwhile, for the data communication between the modules, the ROS (Robot Operating System) is used. The ROS provides message communication function between the modules, so that each module can transmit and receive data during the simulation. To check the applicability of the proposed method, the mine detection scenario is performed using the virtual prototype of USV and ocean space. The result shows that the proposed method can be effectively used to test and develop the mine detection algorithm of autonomic software in USV.

본 논문은 주문형 뉴스 서비스의 일종인 주문형 스포츠 정보 제공 시스템의 구현 결과를 기술하였다. 스포츠 정보 제공 시스템은 초고속 정보통신망을 기반으로 하면서 가입자들에게 이미지, 음성, 데이타 및 동화상으로 구성된 스포츠 뉴스를 효율적으로 제공하는 고도통신 서비스이다. 구현된 시스템의 가장 큰 특징은 동적 멀티캐스트 스케줄링 알고리즘을 이용하여 통신망 및 뉴스 제공 서버의 효율을 향상시켰다는 점이다. 또한 이 시스템은 중앙 집중적 방식이 아닌 분산 환경에서 구현됨으로써 확장성이 뛰어나다. 이 시스템은 모든 검색 작업 및 뉴스 시청 과정이 플러그인 기술에 기반한 웹 브라우저에서 구현되었으므로 컴퓨터에 대한 전문 지식이 없는 일반 기업자들도 쉽게 사용할 수 있다. This paper describes the internal mechanisms and implementational details of a system which provides recent sports news on the fly. The Sports-On-Demand system, which disseminates information in various media including moving images, will be one of most promising B-ISDN services. The most important feature of this system is that it employs a dynamic multicasting method which was proven to be able to enhance the efficiency of servers and networks. In addition, we implement the system as a distributed system such that it has good scalability. We implement the system using a plug-in technology so that even novice computer users can use it easily.
Forecasting Winning Rates in Major League Baseball Based on Fuzzy Logic

퍼지 시계열은 시계열의 자료 수가 충분하지 않거나 자료의 구조가 특정 되지 않을 때에 효율적인 방법이다. 본 연구는 1901년부터 2019년까지 미국 메이저 리그에 소속된 16개 팀의 승률에 대한 종속성과 상관성을 이용하여 승률에 대한 예측을 위하여 퍼지 논리와 퍼지 분할 그리고 F-변환을 이용한다. 그리고 본 연구에서 제시된 퍼지 시계열의 결과를 전통적인 Arima 모형과 증가하는 자료에 대한 미분방정식을 이용하는 Grey 방법, 그리고 장단기기억(Long Short Term Memory, LSTM) 방법의 결과와 비교한다. 본 연구에서 제시된 퍼지 시계열 분석에 대한 효율성을 조사하기 위해 평균절대백분율오차와 편차와 오차의 비 그리고 상관관계를 사용한다. A fuzzy time series is used efficiently when there are not enough data in a time series that is continuously recorded over time, or when data pattern cannot be expressed as a specific function. This study uses a fuzzy time series to predict the winning rates in Major League Baseball (MLB), using fuzzy partition and F-transform for the winning percentage of 16 teams in the MLB from 1901 to 2019. The results of the fuzzy time series presented in this study are compared with the results of the Box-Jenkins method and a Grey model using a differential equation for the increasing data, as well as the Long Short Term Memory (LSTM) model. To investigate the efficiency of the fuzzy time series analysis presented in this study, we use the mean absolute percentage error (MAPE), correlation, and ratio of deviation error.

Churg-Strauss syndrome (CSS) is a rare systemic vasculitis. It is characterized by peripheral eosinophilia, asthma, neuropathy, skin manifestation, and less frequently gastrointestinal tract symptoms. Here we report a case of CSS which is initially manifested as acute acalculous cholecystitis. A 67-year-old asthmatic woman visited Emergency Room because of acute abdominal pain. Computed tomography showed acalculous cholecystitis and laparoscopic cholecystectomy was done. Pathology of gallbladder showed marked eosinophilic infiltration with necrotizing vasculitis and granuloma. On the basis of asthma, sinusitis, lung infiltration, combined peripheral eosinophilia and neuropathy, the patient was diagnosed as CSS. To our knowledge, this is the first case of pathologically proven eosinophilic cholecystitis in Korea.

본 논문은 주문형 비디오 서비스와 주문형 뉴스 서비스의 혼합적인 형태인 주문형 스포츠 정보 제공 시스템의 구현 결과를 기술하였다. 스포츠 정보 제공 시스템은 스포츠에 관심이 많은 사용자들에게 이미지, 음성, 데이터 및 동화상으로 구성된 스포츠 뉴스를 효율적으로 제공할 수 있는 시스템으로서 앞으로 구축된 초고속 정보통신망에서 제공할 수 있는 하나의 서비스가 될 수 있다. 이 시스템의 가장 큰 특징은 동적 멀티캐스트 전송 알고리즘을 이용하여 통신망의 효율을 높일 수 있다는 점이다. 이 시스템은 컴퓨터에 대한 전문지식이 없는 일반 사용자들도 쉽게 사용할 수 있도록 모든 검색 작업 및 뉴스 시청 과정이 플러그인 기술을 이용하여 웹브라우저에서 이루어질 수 있게 구현하였다. 또한 스포츠 뉴스를 중앙 집중적 방식이 아닌 분산 환경에서 제공함으로써 확장성이 뛰어나다는 장점이 있다.
Using English Songs in the adult EFL classroom

Students still lack the enthusiasm, motivation and interest to learn English in the conventional way even though they are exposed to various media and technology resources. This is the main reason why English language teachers should always keep an eye on the more engaging and involving teaching sources. Text books in English classes turn out to be not very engaging for students. It is no surprise that many learners view English language learning as a boring and insuperable wall. In fact, English learning can be implemented in a more relaxed and enjoyable way. One of the progressive ways to bring variety into the classroom is integrating English songs in the adult EFL classes. Using songs gives a great influence in the educational settings. Then, how can songs improve English learning in the EFL classroom? This study investigates the correlation between listening to songs and effective learning in the EFL classroom. A review of the theoretical and research evidence on English songs and education is presented in this paper. The study analyzes the effects of using songs in the EFL classroom on all four language skills: listening, speaking, writing and reading. The study draw a conclusion that songs attract students’ attention by presenting English in a more natural way than any of the existing textbooks. Most importantly, songs offer listening aids, helping students to improve their listening skill and extend their vocabulary ability. The aim of this paper is to promote better understanding of the effectiveness of English songs as a great teaching tool in the EFL classroom and to suggest language teachers to use songs in their language teaching.
The essential factors for teaching & learning English

The aim of the research was to arrive at a detailed understanding of English language education for young learners in Korea. The study shows that Korea Ministry of Education introduced English language on the elementary level in order to bring up a global person from the early age. This paper examines the factors which influence English language teaching and learning in Korea: Early start (age factor, better pronunciation, time factor); the Ministry of Education involvement and support (well-developed curriculum, well-trained teachers, sufficient materials); and parental support. The study concludes that the most effective factor can be the age, as the theory of CPH strongly argues. Also, the content-based instruction is one of the effective factors that the Korea Ministry of Education is trying to apply in public school curriculum. Moreover, the teachers’ and parents’ supports are the crucial matter for young learners in order to motivate them to learn English. In order to improve English language education for young learners in Korea, all these factors should be taken into account.
