        Fullerene-Based Photoactive A-D-A Triads for Single-Component Organic Solar Cells: Incorporation of Non-Fused Planar Conjugated Core

        Two acceptor-donor-acceptor (A-D-A) single-component (SC) photovoltaic triad molecules, P3T4Rh-C6-PC61BM and P3T4Rh-C10-PC61BM, were synthesized. A conformation-locked planar conjugated core, 1,4-bis(thiophenylphenylthiophene)- 2,5-difluorophenylene (P3T4), with intrachain noncovalent coulombic interactions was coupled with two fullerene derivatives, [6,6]-phenyl-C61 butyric acid propargyl ester, via copper (I)-catalyzed azide-alkyne 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition. The D-A separation was varied by modulating the spacer alkyl chain length (C6 and C10). Both SC triads exhibited maximum absorption by the P3T4 core at λabs = 507-510 nm, as well as absorption by PC61BM at ~300 nm. Because of the broken conjugation between the P3T4 core and PC61BM termini, the highest occupied molecular orbital (-5.58 to -5.59 eV) was determined by the P3T4 moiety, and the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (-3.89 to -3.92 eV) was determined by PC61BM in the SC structures. In diluted solution, both SC triads showed significant photoluminescence quenching, indicating efficient intramolecular charge transfer between the P3T4 and PC61BM moieties. However, the semicrystalline packing of the P3T4 core was severely disrupted by the incorporation of a bulky PC61BM moiety at each terminus, which degraded the carrier transport and diode characteristics of SC organic solar cells (SCOSCs) based on P3T4Rh-C6-PC61BM and P3T4Rh-C10-PC61BM, as indicated by poor power conversion efficiency (~0.4%). No clear spacer length effect was observed. To improve the performance of SCOSCs, a design strategy is needed that enhances the intermolecular packing and ordering of the D and A moieties, which are important prerequisites for the development of optimal SC photoactive molecules.

        The purpose of this paper was evaluate the specificity of maximal oxygen uptake and anaerobic threshold which is indicator of cardio- respiratory function during incremental load exercise using treadmill, also. Twenty of elite middle and long distance runners participated as subjects of this research. By measurement the specificity of cardio-fulmonary function and blood component in middle and long distance runners, the conclusion and results which is obtained is as follows: 1.Maximal oxygen uptake of absolute and relative value during maximal exercise load in middle and long distance runners was display 4.23±0.421/min & 71.2/㎖/kg/min, respectively, also, maximal ventilation and maximal heart rate was expressed 146± 18.861/min & 192.25 ± 7.61beats/min, respectively. 2.Oxygen uptake and relative percentage of maximal oxygen uptake in the anaerobic threshold levels of middle and long distance runners was shown 3.55± 0.491/min(46.54㎖/kg/min) 72.81±8.86%, respectively and ventilation, heart rate and relative percentage of maximal heart rate was expressed 95.09 ± 16.951/min, 176.54 ± 9.79beats/min and 91.62 ±3.90%, respectively. 3.Concentration of plasma lactate(t-value:-3.65, p<0.003), glucose (t-value:-4.52, p<0.02) In blood component of middle and long distance runners was display the significantly difference between pre and post value after maximal incremental exercise load.

        Regioisomeric Polythiophene Derivatives: Synthesis and Structure-Property Relationships for Organic Electronic Devices

        Three types of tail-to-tail (PDCBTTT), head-to-tail (PDCBTHT), and head-to-head (PDCBTHH) regioisomeric polythiophene copolymers were synthesized by modification of the substitution positions of their alkoxycarbonyl sidechains. Chain conformation, and optical, electrochemical, morphological, and chargetransport characteristics of the polymers were significantly influenced by their regiochemistry. PDCBTHH showed an amorphous morphology due to strong steric hindrance between its head-to-head alkoxycarbonyl side-chains, resulting in the poorest performance in organic solar cells and transistors among three types. PDCBTHT had a regiorandom structure with both head-to-tail and tail-to-head linkages in a polymer chain. As determined by field-effect mobility measurements, a highly regioregular and planar PDCBTTT exhibited the highest hole mobility (μ = 0.065 cm2 V-1s-1), which was two orders of magnitude higher than that of the regiorandom PDCBTHT. The highest photovoltaic performance was also measured for PDCBTTT:a fullerene acceptor (PC71BM), by maintaining the packed structures of pristine PDCBTTT polymers in the blend with PC71BM. Altering the topology of alkoxycarbonyl side-chains of the copolymers resulted in significant differences in crystalline morphologies and electrical properties and thus should be carefully considered in the molecular design of organic semiconductors.

        한의 복합 치료를 통해 개선된 뇌졸중 후 시야 장애 환자 2례 증례보고

        Objective: This study investigated two cases of Korean medical treatment for visual field impairment after stroke: Case 1, a 56-year-old male with a posterior cerebral artery infarction and right homonymous hemianopsia, and Case 2, a 46-year-old male with an intracerebral hemorrhage in the left parietal lobe and right homonymous hemianopsia. Methods: Case 1 was treated with acupuncture, electroacupuncture, and herbal medicine (Mangeum-tang) for two months, and Case 2 was treated with acupuncture, electroacupuncture, and herbal medicine (Oryeong-san) for 40 days. Results: Following treatment, for Case 1, the Humphrey visual field test showed improvement. The visual field indexes (VFIs) for the left and right eyes improved from 44% to 55% and 49% to 64% respectively, and the mean deviations (MDs) for the left and right eyes improved from -21.11 dB to -19.91 dB and -17.45 dB to -13.89 dB, respectively. The mean visual sensitivities (MVSs) of the left and right eyes also improved from 8.67 dB to 11.33 dB and 1.67 dB to 9.67 dB, respectively, with no side effects. For Case 2, the VFI for the left eye improved from 36% to 64% and that for the right eye remained unchanged. The MDs for the left and right eyes also improved from -22.02 dB to -14.47dB and -22.11 dB to -21.34 dB, respectively, with no side effects. Conclusions: This study suggests that Korean medical treatment may improve visual impairment after stroke, but further research is needed.

        TWO MOLECULAR CLOUDS WITH ANOMALOUS VELOCITIES IN THE GALACTIC ANTICENTER

        We map two molecular clouds located in the exact anticenter region emitting in the (J = 1-0)transition of 12CO and 13CO using the 3-mm SIS mixer receiver on the 14-m radio telescope at TaedukRadio Astronomy Observatory. The target clouds with anomalous velocities of VLSR ~20 km s-1 aredistinguished from other clouds in this direction. In addition, they are located in the interarm regionbetween the Orion Arm and the Perseus Arm. Sizes of the clouds are estimated to be about 8.6 and10.8 pc, respectively. The total mass is estimated to be about 4 x 103 M⊙ using CO luminosity of theclouds. Several cores are detected, but no sign of star formation is found according to the IRAS pointsources. Their larger linewidths, anomalous velocities, and their location at the interarm region makethese clouds more distinguished, though their physical properties are similar to the dark clouds in thesolar neighborhood in terms of mass and size.

        At this time, District Unit Plan which cinsidered rigid zoning and various institution standard as the higher rank plan is not competent enough for the solution of uniform plan that is not reflected in the regional characteristics, want of the infrastructure, defamation of the urban landscape, also. The purpose of this study is started on recognition of uniform problem which occur in District Unit Plan. Than, it organizing District Unit Plan and density plan to reflect the regional characteristics, where a policy proposal of District Unit Plan will grope. The substance of this study is as follows. Chapter 2.Functionalism for a density standard. Chapter 3.Density type situation and problem in District Unit Plan. Chapter 4.Consolidation plan of the density standard in District Unit Plan. This study examines the problem expected when the legal floor area ratio of existing zoning apply to District Unit Plan as it is, and make a density system that reflect the elements of regional characteristics, capacity of infrastructure, and urban landscape.
