호흡 연동 방사선 치료 시 사용되는 음성 유도 및 음성-영상 유도의 두 가지 호흡생체자기제어 방식이 호흡 재현성 및 선량에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다. 본 연구에서는 Medical College of Virginia (MCV)에서 획득한 19명의 폐암 환자에 대한 호흡 데이터를 이용하였다. 호흡 데이터는 총 5주간 1주 간격으로 자유 호흡, 음성 유도, 음성-영상 유도의 세 가지 형태로 획득하였으며 선량 평가는 MATLAB을 이용하였다. 그 결과, 자유 호흡의 경우에는 반복되는 치료에서 호흡재현성이 감소하여 CTV 선량이 약 30.0% 감소하는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 음성-영상 유도 방식을 이용할 경우 5주 후 CTV 선량이 20.0% 개선됨을 알 수 있었다. 이는 환자가 영상을 통하여 자가호흡조절 능력이 향상되기 때문으로 판단된다. 또한 음성 유도만 사용할 경우에도 호흡재현성을 유지하는 데는 효과적임을 확인하였다. We evaluated the effect of two kinds of breathing biofeedback technique such as audio-instruction and audio-visual biofeedback on breathing reproducibility and the CTV coverage during repeated treatment regimes in respiration-gated radiotherapy. In this study, the breathing data of nineteen lung cancer patients acquired from Medical College of Virginia (MCV) during five weeks were used. The dose evaluation algorithm was programmed in MATLAB. In the result, the CTV coverage was decreased as 30.0% due to the breathing irreproducibility for free-breathing. For audio-visual biofeedback, the CTV coverage was improved as 20.0% because patients can learn how control their breathing stably. And the audio-instruction was effective to preserve the breathing reproducibility.
고삼(苦蔘)이 RIN-m5F세포의 인슐린 분비와 $\alpha$-glucosidase 활성 억제에 미치는 영향

Background : Radix Sophora Flavescentis (SF) is used for the treatment of diabetes mellitus in Traditional Korean Medicine. However, little is known about the effects of Radix Sophora Flavescentis extract (SFE) on the hypoglycemic mechanism. Objective : We performed a series of experiments to verify the effects of SFE on the proliferation of RIN-m5F, the secretion and synthetic processes of insulin with glucose stimulation and inhibition of $\alpha$-glucosidase. Methods : Various amounts of SFE were added to the RIN-m5F cell culture to identify the effects on the cell proliferation, total amounts of insulin secretion, and related gene expression at the molecular level. Also to identify the inhibitory effect on the $\alpha$-glucosidase activities, ${\rho}NPG$ assay was done with various SFE concentrations followed by comparison with control. Results : SFE did not show considerable effects on RIN-m5F cells proliferation, insulin secretion or insulin mRNA expression, whichever phenomena did not depend on the glucose concentration. However, SFE significantly inhibited $\alpha$-glucosidase activity in a dose dependent manner compared to control. Conclusions : This study showed that SFE has potent $\alpha$-glucosidase inhibitory activity. Thus, SF may by used for the improvement of overall glycemic control. Further mechanism studies on the lipid toxicity and oxidation stress of SF seem to be necessary.

The aim of this study was to report eight patients with dizziness, diagnosed as Qi-dizziness. The cause of Qi-dizziness is seven emotions(七情), and seven emotions induce liver qi depression(肝氣鬱結), spleen deficiency(肝脾不和) and dual deficiency of the heart-spleen(心脾兩虛). Guibisoyo-san($Gu\={i}p\'{\i}xi\={a}oy\'{a}o-s\`{a}n$) modified formula, which can treat the above diagnosis, was given to patients three times a day. To evaluate the therapeutic effect, visual analog scale(VAS) and inconvenience degree (ICD) were examined. After treatment, the VAS score decreased 7.37 points on average and ICD score decreased 1.62 points on average in patients with both peripheral vestibular dizziness and nonvestibular dizziness. This study shows that herbal therapy by traditional Korean medicine has considerable effects on dizziness, regardless of the etiological cause.

Hastelloy-X material is widely used in aircraft engines, furnaces, and chemical process components due to its excellent oxidation resistance and high-temperature strength. In the case of making plate-shaped parts, its quality can be improved by forming limit diagram (FLD), which can predict crack and failure of a product. However, experimental-based FLD can be costly and time-consuming. In this paper, we tried to predict the formability of Hastelloy-X through FE simulations using the GTN (Gurson-Tvergaard- Needleman) model. First, appropriate values for GTN model parameters were derived from RSM using tensile test. FLD based on GTN model was then obtained by applying derived parameters to FLD simulations. These obtained parameters can be used to predict the formability of sheet metal undergoing severe deformation processes in aircraft and gas turbine engine manufacturing.
GTN 모델과 RSM을 이용한 Hastelloy-X의 성형성 예측 연구

성형 공정과정시 제품의 품질 향상을 위해 재료의 성형성을 사전에 예측하는 것은 중요하다. 균열 및 파손등 판재의 성형성을 평가하는 데 FLD (Forming Limit Diagram)가 널리 사용된다. 본 연구에서는 초내열합금 중 하나인 Hastelloy-X 의 성형성을 평가하고자 한다. GTN (Gurson-tvergaard-neddleman) 모델은 재료를 일종의 다공성 재료로 가정하며, 재료의 공극체적률을 기반으로 하여 재료의 연성파괴 과정을 모사하는데 적합하다고 알려져있다. GTN 모델의 매개변수는 FLD 시험과 유한요소해석의 결과를 비교하여 결정된다. 이때 시뮬레이션 횟수를 줄여 보다 효율적으로 GTN 모델의 매개변수를 얻기 위하여 실험계획법의 일종인 RSM (Response Surface Methodology, 반응표면법)을 이용하였다. RSM 를 통하여 GTN 모델의 매개변수가 UTS, UTS 의 Strain, 파괴강도, 파괴강도에서의 Strain의 4 개의 경우에 미치는 영향을 통계적으로 분석하였다. 통계적 분석의 결과를 바탕으로 각 경우에 해당하는 응답모델을 얻었으며, 이를 이용해서 GTN 모델의 최적 매개변수를 도출하였다. 이때 GTN 모델의 최적 매개변수는 인장시험의 결과를 바탕으로 얻었다. 도출된 매개변수를 시뮬레이션에 적용하여 그 결과를 FLD 시험 결과와 비교하였다. 얻어진 매개변수는 항공기 및 가스터빈 엔진 제조 등, 제품 성형 과정에서 변형이 심한 공정의 성형성을 예측하는 데 사용할 수 있다.
