연구목적: 알츠하이머병 환자에서의 골다공증 유병률에 대해서 알아보고자 한다. 연구방법: 알츠하이머병으로 진단받은 환자 중 2010년도에 골밀도 검사를 시행하였던 128예에서 연령별 골다공증의 유병률을 조사하여 대조군과 비교 분석하였다. 결 과: 대조군에서의 골다공증 유병률은 29.73%이었고 알츠하이머병 환자에서의 골다공증 유병률은 96.87%이었다. 알츠하이머병 환자에서의 골감소증 유병률은 3.12%, 골절의 유병률은 32.03 %로 나타났다. 결 론: 알츠하이머병 환자에서 골다공증의 유병률이 대조군에서의 유병률 보다 높다. Objectives: To evaluate the prevalence of osteoporosis in the Alzheimer's disease patients. Methods: One hundred and twenty eight patients with Alzheimer's disease were included in this study. The patients are diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease using Korean-Mini Mental Status Examination (K-MMSE) and checked bone mineral density using single-energy (SE) quantitative computed tomography (QCT) in 2010. To define abnormality in terms of QCT of the spine, a bone mineral density (BMD) spine below 80 mg/cm3 is indicative of osteoporosis and BMD between 80 and 120 mg/㎤ is indicative osteopenia. Results: The prevalence of osteoporosis in the control group is 29.73%. The prevalence of osteoporosis in the Alzheimer's disease patients is 96.87%. The prevalence of osteopenia in the Alzheimer's disease patients is 3.12%. The prevalence of severe osteoporosis fracture in the Alzheimer's disease patients is 32.03%. Conclusion: The prevalence of osteoporosis in Alzheimer's disease patients is higher than in the control group. [Korean Journal of Bone Metabolism, 18(2): 125-130, 2011

19세기에 신경 차단을 통한 수술을 시행한 이후로 상지 수술을 위한 여러가지 마취, 차단술의 방법이 개발되고 있다. 이러한 신경차단을 시행함에 있어서 성공률을 높이고, 부작용을 줄이기 위한 많은 도구나 술기들이 개발되고 있으며, 이러한 노력으로 최근에는 신경 자극기(nerve stimulator)나 초음파 기기를 신경 차단에 사용하고 있다. 이에 저자는 상지 수술을 위한 마취에 있어 초음파를 이용하여 다양한 접근법에 대해 고찰하여 기술하고자 한다.
Acoustic metamaterial design for noise reduction in vacuum cleaner

In this study, we investigate the acoustic metamaterial (AMM) design for flow noise reduction when using a vacuum cleaner. The AMM was based on the principle of Helmholtz resonators, and metamaterial design variables were defined to reduce noise to approximately 1.5 and 2.5 kHz bands. An acoustic simulation was performed considering the thermoviscous effect using the designed AMM, and a transmission loss in the simulation results was calculated using the four-microphone method. Finally, noise experiments were performed on a vacuum cleaner equipped with metamaterial. Through this, the noise reduction performance of metamaterial predicted through simulations was verified, thereby showing the selective implementation of noise reduction in the desired frequency band.

Concomitant fracture of medial tubercle of posterior process and lateral process of the talus has not been reported in Korean literature. Association between fracture of lateral and posterior process of talus is not clear. We treated with open reduction and screw fixation in fracture of lateral process and with excision of fragment of posteromedial tubercle of posterior process with satisfying result.
Distribution of Calcium Hydroxide at the ITZ between Steel and Concrete

The present study examines the distribution of calcium hydroxide, unhydrated cement grain and porosity at the steel-concrete interface. The formation of calcium hydroxide has been confirmed by microscopic analysis using BSE images containing the ITZ between the steel and concrete. It was found that calcium hydroxide does not form a layer on the steel surface, different from the hypothesis that has been available in investigating the corrosion of steel in concrete, ranging from 5 to 10% within the steel surface. Moreover, the high level of porosity at the ITZ was observed, accounting for 30%, which may reduce the buffering capacity of cement hydration products against a local fall in the pH. These findings may imply that the mole of [Cl-]:[OH-] in pore solution as chloride threshold level lead to wrong judgement or to a wide range of values.

As the single chamber SOFC(SC-SOFC) showed higher prospect on reducing the operation temperature as well as offering higher design flexibility of SOFCs, lots of concerns have been given to investigate the catalytic activity of perovskite-type oxide in mixed fuel and oxidant conditions. Hence we thoroughly investigated the catalytic property of various perovskite-type oxides such as $La_{0.8}Sr_{0.2}MnO_3(LSM),\;La_{0.6}Sr_{0.4}CoO_3(LSC),\;La_{0.6}Sr_{0.4}Co_{0.2}Fe_{0.8}O_3(LSCF),\;Sm_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}CoO_3(SSC),\;and\;Ba_{0.5}Sr_{0.5}Co_{0.8}Fe_{0.2}(BSCF)$ under the partial oxidation condition of methane which used to be given for SC-SOFC operation. In this study, powder form of each perovskite oxides whose surface areas were controlled to be equal, were investigated as functions of methane to oxygen ratios and reactor temperature. XRD, BET and SEM were employed to characterize the crystalline phase, surface area and microstructure of prepared powders before and after the catalytic oxidation. According to the gas phase analysis with flow-through type reactor and gas chromatography system, LSC, SSC, and LSCF showed higher catalytic activity at fairly lower temperature around $400^{\circ}C{\sim}450^{\circ}C$ whereas LSM and BSCF could be activated at much higher temperature above $600^{\circ}C$.

견갑하근 파열의 손상과 치료방식이 발전하면서 견갑하근의 중요성이 더욱 대두되었고 이에 견갑하근의 파열양상, 봉합방법 그리고 후상방 회전근 개 파열과의 관련성 등이 여러 저자들에 의해서 연구 되고 있다. 즉, 이전까지 관심의 대상에서 제외 되었던 견갑하근의 부분파열이 점차적으로 회전근 개 파열의 중요한 역할을 하며 상완 이두건초염과 오구상완 인대의 내측활차의 손상이 이러한 부분파열의 원인을 제공할 수 있음을 알 수 있다. 그러나 견갑하근 파열에 대한 정확한 원인 인자는 아직 불투명하다. 이에 본 교실에서는 견갑하근 파열의 치료와 견갑하근 파열과 동반 손상된 상완 이두건 손상및 탈구 등을 치료하고 이에 대해 문헌 고찰과 함께 손상 종류에 따른 치료방법을 살펴보고 이에 대해 알아보고자 한다.
