본 연구에서는 국내 P복합발전소에서 실제 운전 중인 순환수계통 수직펌프를 대상으로 고유진동수를 측정하고, 유체와 구조가 연성된 경우의 진동이론으로부터 고진동의 원인을 파악하였다. 현장 상황에 가장 적합하며 경제적인 공진방지 대책을 선정하여 수치해석을 통해 실효성을 미리 확인한 후 실제 시스템에 적용하는 실증시험을 실시하였다. In this study, the natural frequency of the actual operating vertical pump in the P combined cycle power plant is measured and the cause of high vibration is determined by using fluid-structure coupled vibration theory. Choosing the vibration reduction plan suited for field conditions and using the numerical analysis verify effectiveness of the plan. The plan is applied to the actual pump and the empirical experiments are conducted.

We isolated endophytic fungal strains from the roots of three medicinal crops, Ligusticum chuanxiong, Angelica gigas, and Cnidium officinale, cultivated at Yeongju, Korea. The fungal strains were identified based on their morphological characteristics and molecular analyses of their internal transcribed spacer, large subunit rDNA, and beta-tubulin regions. Thereby, we identified three previously unrecorded endophytic fungal species, Dactylonectria pauciseptata, Rhizopycnis vagum, and Sistotrema sernanderi, in Korea. In this report, we describe the morphological characteristics and phylogenetic analyses of these three fungal species.

The reports of epidural vascular tumors are rare however dumbbell-shaped epidural cavernous hemangioma is exceedingly rare. The reported incidence of epidural hemangiom is 4% of all spinal epidural tumors and 12% of all intraspinal bemangioma. In the majority of cases, hemangiomas of spinal epidural space represent the secondary extension of a vertebral hemagioma but the occurance of pure epidural cavernous hemangioma is relatively rare. In this report, authors present two cases of epidural cavernous hemangioma including one dumbbell-shaped in the thoracic spine with review of other reports.

Epidemiological studies have shown the association between transportation of live animals and the potentialtransmission of infectious disease between premises. This finding was also observed in the 2014-2015 foot-and-mouthdisease (FMD) outbreak in Korea. Furthermore, slaughterhouses played a key role in the global spread of the FMDvirus during the epidemic. In this context, in-depth knowledge of the structure of direct and indirect contact betweenslaughterhouses is paramount for understanding the dynamics of FMD transmission. But the social network structureof vehicle movements to slaughterhouses in Korea remains unclear. Hence, the aim of this study was to configurea social network topology of vehicle movements between slaughterhouses for a better understanding of how they arepotentially connected, and to explore whether FMD outbreaks can be explained by the network properties constructedin the study. We created five monthly directed networks based on the frequency and chronology of on- and offslaughterhousevehicle movements. For the monthly network, a node represented a slaughterhouse, and an edge (orlink) denoted vehicle movement between two slaughterhouses. Movement data were retrieved from the national KoreanAnimal Health Integrated System (KAHIS) database, which tracks the routes of individual vehicle movements usinga global positioning system (GPS). Electronic registration of livestock movements has been a mandatory requirementsince 2013 to ensure traceability of such movements. For each of the five studied networks, the network structureswere characterized by small-world properties, with a short mean distance, a high clustering coefficient, and a shortdiameter. In addition, a strongly connected component was observed in each of the created networks, and this giantcomponent included 94.4% to 100% of all network nodes. The characteristic hub-and-spoke type of structure wasnot identified. Such a structural vulnerability in the network suggests that once an infectious disease (such as FMD)is introduced in a random slaughterhouse within the cohesive component, it can spread to every other slaughterhousein the component. From an epidemiological perspective, for disease management, empirically derived small-worldnetworks could inform decision-makers on the higher potential for a large FMD epidemic within the livestock industry,and could provide insights into the rapid-transmission dynamics of the disease across long distances, despite a standstillof animal movements during the epidemic, given a single incursion of infection in any slaughterhouse in the country.
십이지장 게실의 Dieulafoy 병변에서 지혈클립 시술 후 발생한 천공 1예

Duodenal diverticulum usually originates in the second portion of the duodenum and occasionally causes duodenal obstruction, hemorrhage, perforation and diverticulitis. A bleeding from Dieulafoy's lesion in a duodenal diverticulum is rare. It is not easily dignosed and treated by forward viewing endoscopy. Recently, a case was reported describing the hemorrhage from the Dieulafoy's lesion in a duodenal diverticulum which was treated by hemoclip with forward viewing endoscopy. Hemoclip application is considered to be the most appropriate endoscopic treatment, because sclerotherapy, electrocoagulation or band ligation for Dieulafoy's lesion in the duodenal diverticulum may increase risk of duodenal perforation. We report a case of duodenal perforation due to hemoclip application for the treatment of Dieulafoy's lesion in a duodenal diverticulum. 십이지장 게실은 주로 십이지장 제2부에 발생하고 십이지장 폐색, 출혈, 천공, 게실염 등을 유발할 수 있다. 십이지장 게실의 Dieulafoy 병변에서의 출혈은 매우 드문 경우이며 전방내시경을 통한 진단 및 치료가 쉽지 않다. 십이지장 게실 출혈의 치료 방법 중 내시경적 경화 요법이나 밴드 결찰술 등은 게실의 막이 얇기 때문에 천공의 위험이 높다. 최근 십이지장 게실의 Dieulafoy 병변 출혈에 전방내시경을 통한 지혈클립 시술 예가 보고되고 있고, 지혈클립이 가장 적절한 내시경적 치료로 인정되고 있다. 저자들은 78세 여자환자에서 발생한 십이지장 게실의 Dieulafoy 병변 출혈을 지혈클립을 사용한 치료 후 십이지장 천공이 발생하였고 이를 보존적 요법으로, 효과적으로 치유한 증례를 경험하였기에 문헌고찰과 함께 보고하는 바이다.
