Light beacon structures are very essential to the maneuvering of ship especially in the night. The power is usually from the rechargeable battery connected to solar panel which generates electricity from the sunlight. There are two types of structures, one is floating and the other is fixed. In this study, we are dealing with the new power generation system motivated by the wave motion for the floating light beacon. The basic principle of new system is transforming wave motion into electricity by the solenoid that composed of circular tube coiled around and magnetic inside. We succeeded in generating electricity in the lab test using the motion actuator. On the basis of lab test experience it is applied to the real field, Samchuk port. The power unit is installed in the floating light buoy and generating electricity when the inclination of the buoy is beyond the certain limit. The amount of electricity depends on the wave height and wave period. The purpose of field test is to clarify the relationship between the wave condition and electricity.
해양 실측데이터 기반 부유식 구조물의 운동 재현에 관한 연구

The importance of renewable energy development progress actively by applying a variety of methods. wave-generation system needs actual ocean test for performance evaluation. Accordingly, this study is for motion reenactment of floating structures by controlling the simulator based on measured data. For collecting the data, installed buoy in the Jeju island set a tilt sensor. And measured data is transmitted to the server and collected by wireless communications. The behavior of 3 axis simulator applies interaction formula that is calculated by the plane of the equation and constraints about fixed axis gab of the simulator, and is selected roll, pitch for the variable based on measured data. Also this study progress verification of behavior of simulator, motion reenactment of floating structures and error by analyzing and comparing measured data installing a tilt sensor on the simulator.

Structural health monitoring systems are widely adopted to monitor the in-situ behavior of structure, to assess its performance under various loads, and to determine the structure’s condition. Thus the reliability of acquisition data plays a key role in managing of these systems. But conventional monitoring systems accompanying cable installations have indispensably the problems, such as involving electromagnetic noises and voltage drops. In this study, a new wireless sensing system consisting of remote sensors, A/D converters, and wireless communication controllers is developed and makes it possible to the multiplex communication and the low installation cost through eradication of extensive lengths of wires.

Most open magnetic resonance imaging systems have used the planar gradient coils whose inductances were minimized through the magnetic energy minimization procedure in the spatial frequency domain. Though the planar gradient coils have smaller inductance than conventional gradient coils, the planar gradient coils often suffer from their poor magnetic field linearity. Scaling the spatial frequencies of the current density function designed by the magnetic energy minimization, magnetic field linearity of the planar gradient coils can be greatly improved with small sacrifice of gradient coil inductance. We have found that the figure of merit of the planar gradient coils, defined by the gradient strength divided by the linearity error and the inductance, can be improved by proposed technique.
