        Postoperative radiotherapy for mucoepidermoid carcinoma of the major salivary glands: long-term results of a singleinstitution experience

        Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the long-term survival outcomes and prognostic factors that affect the clinical outcomes of patients who underwent surgery and postoperative radiotherapy for major salivary gland mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC). Materials and Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the clinical data of 44 patients who underwent surgery followed by radiotherapy for primary MEC of the major salivary glands between 1991 and 2014. The median follow-up period was 9.8 years (range, 0.8 to 23.8 years). Results: The overall outcomes at 5 and 10 years were 81.5% and 78.0% for overall survival (OS), 86.2% and 83.4% for diseasefree survival, 90.6% and 87.6% for locoregional recurrence-free survival, and both 90.5% for distant metastasis-free survival (DMFS). Histologic grade was the only independent predictor of OS (low vs. intermediate vs. high; hazard ratio = 3.699; p = 0.041) in multivariate analysis. A poorer survival was observed among patients with high-grade tumors compared with those with non-highgrade tumors (5-year OS, 37.5% vs. 91.7%, p < 0.001; 5-year DMFS, 46.9% vs. 100%, p < 0.001). Conclusion: Surgery and postoperative radiotherapy resulted in excellent survival outcomes for patients with major salivary gland MEC. However, high-grade tumors contributed to poor DMFS and OS. Additional aggressive strategies for improving survival outcomes should be developed for high-grade MEC.

        A scale model of power tiller-trailer system with the same kinematic characteristics was constructed one eighth of the actual size to validate the effectiveness of mathematical model of motion. The parameters for the scale model of power tiller-trailer system were measured by a series of laboratory experiments. Validation tests for the: scale model was conducted under several ground and operating conditions. The tests were performed on artificial ground surfaces with several kind, of slope and obstacle. The travel path of the scale model was photographed successively in three directions. The travel paths obtained from both the film analysis and the simulation model appeared to be consistent with each other. It was concluded that the simulation model could be used to predict the motion of actual power tiller-trailer system if the parameters for actual power tiller and trailer are provided.

        대학생의 중도탈락 과정 탐색

        The purpose of this study is to explore the reasons of college students’ dropout. Data analysis and interpretation were based on grounded theory, presented paradigm model, analyzed the process and derived core categories. Through open-cording, we derived 39 concepts, 14 sub-categories, and 12 categories. In the paradigm model, firstly, by axis coding, the central phenomena of the causal conditions, which have some results: For example, awareness of college rank, negative interpersonal relationships, worries and conflicts about the dropout. Secondly, contextual conditions corresponding to central phenomena which were lack of discipline in university life, discrepancy of expectation in university life, and a university makes me feel small. Thirdly, the arbitration conditions were that consideration for their filed of majors and beginning new experience at the university. Forth, the action and interaction strategy are trying to collect opinions for dropout and isolating from everyday life. Meanwhile, they choose two options both dropout and choice for the future. The core categories in select coding that is choosing a career for a better future, in specific, they considered that a career path by choosing their major in school form preparatory stage of the university entrance examination to the after graduate. 이 연구는 대학중도탈락 경험이 있는 대학생의 중도탈락과정을 탐색하여 성공적인 대학생활을 위한 전략을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다. 자료분석과 해석은 근거이론을 바탕으로 패러다임 모형을 제시하고 과정분석을 실시하였으며 핵심범주를 도출하였다. 연구결과, 개방코딩을 통해 총 39개의 개념과 14개의 하위범주, 12개의 범주가 도출되었다. 축코딩을 통한 패러다임 모형에서, 인과적 조건은 ‘대학서열에 대한 인식 존재’, ‘부정적인 대인관계 형성’이며 ‘중도탈락에 대한 고민과 갈등’이 중심현상이었다. 중심현상에 대응하는 맥락적 조건은 ‘자기관리가 결여된 대학생활’, ‘대학에 대한 기대의 불일치’, ‘나를 작게 만드는 대학’으로 나타났다. ‘지원학과에 대한 생각과 준비’, ‘새로운 경험의 시작, 대학생활’은 중재적 조건이었고 작용/상호작용 전략으로 ‘중도탈락에 대한 의견 수렴하기’, ‘일상생활에서 벗어나기’를 시도하고 결과에서는 ‘중도탈락’, ‘미래를 위한 선택’을 하였다. 선택코딩에서 핵심범주는 ‘좀 더 나은 미래를 위한 진로선택하기’로 나타났다. 연구 참여자들은 좀 더 나은 미래를 위한 진로를 선택하기 위해 대학입시준비과정부터 대학 졸업 후 진로를 고려하여 지원학과를 선택하였다. 대학입학 후 대학생활에서도 보다 나은 삶을 위한 진로선택에 대한 생각이 내재되어 있었다.

        A 10-degree of freedom mathematical model of motion for power tiller-trailer system was developed. This model can predict motion characteristics of power tiller trailer system while travelling over smooth and irregular ground surfaces under various operating conditions. The model provide, the fundamental data needed to improve the stability of power tiller-trailer systems.

      • 퇴비재료의 교반빈도가 육계분과 유우분 혼합물 퇴비화 성능에 미치는 영향

        2중필름 온실계사에서 육계를 사육하였을 때 발생하는 계분을 처리할 수 있는 수동 교반형 퇴비화시스템을 개발하였으며, 교반빈도가 퇴비화 온도에 미치는 효과를 분석하였다. 병원균 사멸에 필요한 $55^{\circ}C$ 이상의 온도를 유지한 기간은 무교반에서 88시간 1회/4일의 교반에서는 179 시간, 1회/2일의 교반에서는 200 시간으로 교반회수가 빈번할수록 그 기간이 길어지는 것으로 나타났다. Broiler manure has much nutrient that can be used as the organic fertilizer to enhance the fertility of soil. However, if it is used directly without biodegradation of organic materials and destruction of weed seed and harmful bacteria, it can produce the generation of weed and disease of plant. Composting of manure is a biodegradation of organic materials into inorganic materials and humus. To proceed biodegradation of manure effectively and enhance the composting performance, optimum environmental condition for microbial growing should be maintained. Environmental variables which can influence the growing activity of microbes are moisture content, pH, porosity, C/N of the composting materials and oxygen supply quantity. Oxygen and porosity are usually supplied by aeration or mixing of materials. This study was intended to investigate the effect of mixing frequency on the composting performance. Mixing of composting materials was performed by turning the bioreactor up and down by hand without any mechanical energy. The broiler manure was captured from the greenhouse type broiler ham as the compounds of broiler manure and rice-hulls, which were used as the base materials. To compost the compounds of broiler manure and rice-hulls, dairy manure was mixed to get appropriate characteristics of composting material. Composting temperature over $55^{\circ}C$ for killing pathogen and weed seed was maintained for longer period with increase of mixing frequency.

        대학 소프트웨어 교육의 서술형 강의평가에 대한 네트워크 분석

        The purpose of this study was to analyze students’needs by conducting a network analysis on the evaluation results from related software education curriculums. The study tested, compared and performed several analyses; core key words analysis, co-occurrence frequency, network analysis, and centrality analysis on specific periods of curriculums in which the software program and textbooks were changed between the first semester of 2017 and the first semester of 2018. As a result of the study, the software curriculums were determined to have been based on the way of design thinking. More specifically, the study found that the curricula was implemented to improve creative thinking, to maintain and to promote team activities, to encourage motivation for participating in software education, to estimate appropriate difficulties and quantity of tasks, to strengthen learning based using scratch, to provide more engaging in active team activities, and to provide feedback on learning outcomes. Future research proposed an improvement plan of software education that could reflect each majors’characteristics through network analysis by college majors. 본 연구의 목적은 대학 소프트웨어 교육의 강의평가에 대해 네트워크 분석을 실시하여 수강생의 요구사항을 분석하는 데 있다. 소프트웨어 교육에 활용한 소프트웨어 프로그램 교체와 교재의 변화가 병행되었던 2017년 1학기와 2018년 1학기에 대해 핵심단어 출현빈도와 공출현빈도 산출, 네트워크 분석, 텍스트 중심성 산출, 네트워크 비교를 실시하였다. 연구결과, A대학의 소프트웨어 교육은 디자인 싱킹을 기반으로 창의적 사고 프로그램을 시행하고 조별활동 중심의 교육을 유지하면서, 소프트웨어 교육에 대한 동기부여, 적절한 난이도와 분량의 과제 부여, 스크래치 활용법에 대한 학습 강화, 적극적인 팀활동 참여 유도, 학습결과에 대한 피드백 제공이 요구되었다. 향후 연구에서는 전공 계열별 네트워크 분석을 통해 계열별 특성을 반영한 소프트웨어 교육 개선안을 제시하고자 한다.

        입원시 Lowenstein Occupational Therapy Cognitive Assessment가 퇴원시 Functional Independence Measure 에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to evaluate the cognitive perceptual performance skills in relation to activities of daily living(ADL) by using Lowenstein Occupational Therapy Cognitive Assessment(L0TCA) to measure the cognitive perceptual performance and FIM to measure the ADL. The subjects in this study were 24 stroke patients who were admitted for intensive treatment at Department of Rehabilitation in Samsung Medical Center from December. 1997 to June. 1998. SAS was used to analyze data. Using simple regression analysis was used to measure influence of LOTCA on FIM at discharge and to measure influence of patient's concentration on both FIM and LOTCA. Stepwise multiple regression analysis was used to confirm the relationship of FIM to each subtest of LOTCA. The results of this study are as follow : 1. Statistically. LOTCA score at admission showed correlationship with FIM score at discharge. (R2 = 0.50. p<0.0001) 2. Visuomotor organization showed the most significant correlation between LOTCA on FIM at discharge. Motor FIM with perception and visuomotor organization, and cognitive FIM with perception showed significance. 3. The relationship between each subtest of FIM and each subtest of LOTCA. self-care was significantly correlated with visuomotor organization and perception. sphincter control was significantly correlated with orientation and perception, mobility and locomotion was significantly correlated with orientation and visuomotor organization, communication was significantly correlated with perception, social cognition was significantly correlated with perception and thinking operation. LOTCA is significantly correlated to FIM at discharge. Therefore, LOTCA can predict the ADL performance skills. Also, orientation and perception are the most predictable area of LOTCA throughout the entire subtests.
