        The Amid booming photovoltaic(PV) industry, building integrated photovoltaic(BIPV) is one of the best fascinating PV application technologies. To apply PV in building, variable factors should be reflected such as installation position, shading, temperature effect and so on. Especially a temperature should be considered, for it affects both electrical efficiency of PV module and heating and cooling load in building. Semi-transparent PV modules designed as finished material for spandrels are presented in this paper. The temperature variation of the modules with and without air gap and insulation were compared and analyzed. The results showed that the module with air gap and insulation has a much larger temperature variation than another transparent module. The temperature of the module reached by 55degree C under vertical irradiance of lower 500W/㎡. And the temperature difference between these modules was about 15degree C. To analyze the output performance of module according to temperature variation, separate module was manufactured and measured by sun-simulator. The results showed that 1 degree temperature rise reduced about 0.43% of output power.

        태국어의 시간 개념과 양상 연구

        The concept of “time” has been the subject of various research in many different fields of academia including philosophy, psychology and physics to name a few. In the field of Linguistics, the previous discussions mainly focused on the use of “time” as a grammatical device to express tense and aspect. In the field of Cognitive Linguistics, however, the concept of “time” has often been discussed with regard to a cognitive process in which humans try to understand the very abstract concept of time through their concrete and embodied experiences. This study examines the conceptualization of “time” by Thai speakers, as the Thai language has not been thoroughly studied on this topic. Specifically speaking, I analyzed how Thais conceptualize time by applying the conceptual metaphor theory which conceptualizes the abstract target domain of time through the concrete source domain of bodily experience which is more recognizable to humans. After analyzing language data from the Thai National Corpus, I found that there are three primary metaphorical concepts of “time” in Thai. That is: 1) TIME IS A SPACE, 2) TIME IS AN ENTITY and 3) TIME IS A RESOURCE. This research result supports the cognitive linguistics theory which claims that metaphor is a cognitive strategy which is used in our everyday life; that is unlike the traditionalist scholars’ claim which categorizes metaphor as abnormal use of language for rhetoric use. I hope this study will be a valuable example that shows the universal and individual aspects of the conceptualization of “time” among different language groups.

        The photovoltaic(PV) industry has been growing worldwide. Though there was overall stagnancy of business activities in 2009, the world solar cell production reached 9.34GW~12.34GW presenting growth of 36~56% over the previous year. Asian countries were strong supplier. Especially, China has become the largest supplier since 2007 on the cell production. World PV installations reached a record high of 6.43GW in 2009, representing growth of 8% over the previous year. Europe was strong and had about 73.9% of the world market.

        본 연구에서는 장애 아동을 위한 생활 학습 목적의 애플리케이션의 개발에 관하여 살펴보았다. 일반 영유아나 장애 아동은 실생활에서 생길 수 있는 위험요소에 대한 인식이 부족하고, 위험한 행동에 대한 주의가 부족하다. 다양한 아동 대상 컨텐츠 중 아이들의 교육을 목적으로 한 앱이 많이 만들어지고 활성화 되어왔으나 장애 아동에게 필요한 안전교육에 관한 앱은 간단한 퀴즈를 풀게 하거나 애니메이션을 통해 일차적으로 학습하는 것이 전부였다. 따라서 본 개발 연구에서는 아이들이 일차원적으로 보는 것 뿐 만이 아닌 자신이 화면의 이미지를 눌러보거나 간접적으로 체험하는 이미지를 통해 다차원적으로 안전 교육을 받을 수 있는 앱을 만들었다. 손쉽게 접할 수 있는 앱을 통해서 아이들이 실생활에서의 위험 요소에 대한 것을 인식하고 위험에 대한 두려움을 인지하며 안전하게 생활을 영유할 수 있도록 도와줄 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. In this presentation, we explain the details of an application to teach about safety to children with disabilities. Young children and children with disabilities often have difficulty imagining situations that are likely to happen but has not happened yet. Such characteristic put these children in the risk of unintentional accidents. Among countless numbers of applications targeted for children"s education, most of the safety related application focus only on solving quizzes or learning through animation. Therefore, we developed a mobile application that children can actively interact with to support experiential learning. Through this application we hoped to help these children to learn and understand possible dangerous situations in their daily lives so they could avoid the accidents or know what to do in such situations.

      • CASE 분석을 통한 무속인 모-녀의 성격특성

        “성격의 변화는 가능한가?”, “종교/영성을 성격의 한 특성으로 어떻게 이해할 수 있을까?”, “영성/종교성을 통한 성격 변화를 구체적 사례를 통해 이해할 수 있을까?”라는 물음이 본고를 시작하게 된 질문들이다. 국외에서는 성격 5요인 특성을 중심으로 ‘종교/영성’과 관련된 연구들이 꾸준히 이어져 왔다. 그러나 한국에서는 ‘종교/영성’과 관련된 연구들이 극히 제한적이었으며, 특히 한국인 토착종교의 깊은 뿌리를 두고 있는 샤머니즘과 관련된 영적 지향의 성격특성에 관한 연구는 전무한 것이 현실이었다. 이에 본 연구는 샤머니즘을 업으로 삼아 살아가야 하는 무속인 모녀와의 상담 CASE STUDY를 통해 ‘종교/영성’을 통한 성격의 기질과 적응을 분석해 보고, 변화의 가능성을 함께 고찰해 보고자 하였다. 다음의 상담 사례를 통하여 몇 가지 의미들을 발견할 수 있었다. 국외 많은 논란 가운데 성격의 5요인 중 개방성(O)을 ‘종교/영성’과 연결해야 된다는 연구들이 많이 있어 왔다. 그러나 본고의 연구는 ‘종교/영성’의 성격적 특성을 6번째 독립된 특성으로 간주되어야 한다는 것에 동의한다. 더불어, ‘종교/영성’이라는 특성은 한국의 샤머니즘이라는 독특성(EMIC)의 측면에서 기존의 것들과는 다른 의미를 담지한 것으로 정의할 필요가 있음을 알게 되었다. 마지막으로, 성격의 적응과 발달은 변화할 수 없는 것에 대한 인정과 수용, 변화시킬 수 있는 것에 대한 적극적 용기와 실천이 필요한 것임을 알 수 있었다. 특히, ‘종교/영성’에 관한 성격적 특성이 무속인 모녀와의 상담적 대화 및 MMPI, NEO 인성검사, VIA 검사를 통해 어떠한 삶의 유전적 특성과 적응, 새로운 변화 가능성을 나타낼 수 있는지 이해할 수 있었다. “Is personality change(transform) possible?” How can we understand religion/spirituality as one of the personality traits? Can we understand personality change through religion/spirituality in a specific case? These questions motivated me to write this paper. The religion/spirituality in personality Five-Factor traits had been studied and researched consistently. However, these kinds of studies were limited in Korea and very few academic studies have been done for spirituality oriented personality traits especially in Shamanism. Shamanism is a religion rooted in the Korean indigenous belief and practice. Accordingly, this article tried to analyze the relationship between shaman mother and daughter’s disposition and adaptation through counseling case study as well as considered about possibility of change in personality. There are so many controversies that the religion/spirituality should be connected to Openness(O) in personality five-factor traits. However, this paper supports that religion/spirituality trait should be considered independent sixth personality trait. Furthermore, this empirical case study indicates that it is necessary to define religion/spirituality trait as different category from the side of uniqueness(EMIC) in Korean Shamanism. Finally, the personality adaptation and development means that we should recognize and accept the unchangeable factors while encouraging and practicing the changeable factors. In particular, this paper shows that how religion/spirituality trait of the shaman mother-daughter makes their inherited tendencies and adaptation, a new possibility through counseling conversation by using MMPI, NEO personality inventory and VIA inventory.

        博山香爐의 昇仙圖像 연구

        This study explores the symbol and meaning of the Chinese incense burner called boshanxianglu (博山香爐) focusing on its most important symbolic element, the mountain and dragon motif. Boshanxianglu, which makes its first appearance in the reign of Empreor Wu of Han Dynasty, is an incense burner in the shape of a mountain and was originally called simply "xianglu' or "xunlu" (薰爐) as other types of incense burners. However, considering that it was depicted in the scene of heavenly world in stone reliefs carved inside tombs of Han Dynasty, it is quite possible that it had a specific purpose. We find several particularities in the shape of boshanxianglu, for example, the unstable shape where a couple of mountains are stacked together on a single stem and grotesque peaks where appear fabulous wild animals chased by hunters and immortals. The smoke of the burning incense emitting through the apertures in the lid was intended to create a mysterious atmosphere of mountain and dragons, the supernatural creatures, were almost always located in its stem and base. Boshanxianglu has a close relationship with the immortality cult formulated by a new conception of immortality which was introduced in the Warring States period. The immortality cult was believed to transform human body into that of immortals and thus enable the pursuit of immortality in the paradise. Immortals were regarded as living on a high mountain that connects earth and heaven. Most of the Chinese in the period believed in the heaven where there is a sacred mountain as paradise, on which they can ascend alive. From this it is easily understandable that the cloud pattern, which was the stage of heavenly world in artifacts, slowly changed to the mountain pattern full of bushes. The most popular examples of such sacred mountains are Mt. Gunlun (崑崙山) in the west, which had a symbolic meaning as an axis mundi connecting earth and heaven and an access to the heaven of immortals from ancient times. and Mt. Penglai(蓬萊山) in the east sea, which was regarded as the realm of immortals by the fangshi (方士) of Yen and Qi during Qin and the Eastern Han. The sacred mountains were legendarily described as being narrow at the bottom and broad on the top, and their columns were vertically facing to heaven so that people believed that it was almost impossible to make an access to those mountains. We find in the tomb carvings from Han Dynasty that the sacred mountain was depicted as narrow at the bottom and wider near the peak. This shows that boshanxianglu inherited the shape of these sacred mountains. In boshanxianglu, a dragon is situated under the sacred mountains. Similar dragons are depicted as popular mounts for those ascending to heaven in silk paintings of the Warring States period. They are intermediate beings which fly from the youdu (幽都), nether world, to the realm of immortals in silk paintings found at Mawangdui (馬王堆) and on Mt. Jingque (金雀山). In Shiji (史記) it is stated that only the dragon can fly to the mountain of immortals like Mt. Gunlun. From this, we can understand easily the necessary combination of dragon and mountains of immortals in boshanxianglu. The boshanxianglu, which is a miniature model for sacred mountains, had its function as a kindred of immortal, which stems from the philosophy of sympathetic kinds causing response (同類相動) and the idea of yin and yang and the five elements (陽陰五行說). After Han Dynasty, the making of boshanxianglu and its elaborate symbolism seem to have declined. However, various aspects of boshanxianglu referred to in the literature of the Six Dynasties period are reiterated not in Chinese examples, but in a gilt-bronze incense burner found at N ngsan-ri in Puy in Korea from the Paekche period, which is normally called the "incense burner of dragon and phoenix" (百濟金銅龍鳳香爐).         태국어 신체어휘 /naa/와 /lang/의 문법화와 교육에서의 시사점

        다기능 다의어가 발달한 태국어에서 다양한 양상의 문법화가 포착되고 있음에도 불구하고 태국에서 문법화라는 언어 현상을 본격적으로 연구하기 시작한 역사는 오래지 않다. 특히 광범위한 문법화의 양상을 보여주는 기본 어휘들 중 신체어휘의 의미 확장 양상과 문법화를 연구하는 것은 태국어 화자의 인지 체계를 엿볼 수 있는 중요한 언어적 단서가 된다. 이 연구에서는 태국어 신체 어휘 중 높은 빈도를 보이는 두 어휘, /naa/(‘face’)와 /lang/(‘back’)이 원형의미에서 공간적 의미로 확대되고, 이를 넘어 전치사와 시간적 의미로 그 의미와 기능이 변화하는 광범위한 문법화의 양상과 그 문법화를 일으키는 인지적 기제(cognitive mechanism)에 관하여 분석하는 것을 일차적 목표로 하며, 이를 바탕으로 외국어로서 태국어를 교육함에 있어, 이러한 문법화를 어떻게 설명할 것인지에 대한 제언으로서, 연구자가 실시한 태국어전공자가 아닌 대학생 60명을 대상으로 한 설문 조사 결과를 예시하고, 인지언어학적 설명이 어떻게 외국어로서의 태국어 교육에 공헌할 수 있는지를 제안한다. It has not been too long since scholars in Thai began in earnest investigating the linguistic phenomena, “grammaticalization,” despite the fact that various aspects of grammaticalization had been previously discovered in the Thai language. Studying the aspects of meaning extension and grammaticalization of body part terms, particularly among the basic vocabulary that shows the forms of broad grammaticalization, may provide an important key to understanding the cognitive system of Thai speakers. The primary goal of this study is to comparatively analyze the aspects of broad grammaticalization and the cognitive mechanism that brings about such grammaticalization of two frequently used Thai body part terms, /naa/ (‘face’) and /lang/ (‘back’), with regard to their meaning extension from their prototypical meaning from spatial meaning to temporal meaning and their functional changes from nouns to prepositions. Furthermore, based on survey results collected from sixty non-Thai major students, this research present a proposal and suggests how the cognitive linguistic approach can contribute in educating students who learn Thai as a foreign language.
